1. If you have trouble in "Challenge Mode", "Easy Mode" becomes available. As you all know by now, it just makes the game easier. Then again, you might want to play sneaky & fail on purpose.
2. When you have a power swing & you have already set the cursor, hit the triangle button as soon as your character hits the ball. This will improve the shot (if you got a "!" icon) & gives you a free power shot.
3. To get the ultimate shot, Hold up on the D-pad as soon as you see the power bar cursor moving. Once you set the power, immediately hold down on the D-pad & set the cursor on that hotspot. Your ball will leave a blue line to indicate success & the note will be different. If your ball was an approach shot & manages to successfully land on the green, it will hop high in the air & come down to a stop. It will then quickly roll back a short distance, leaving a big single skid mark in the ground.
4. HSG has been a failure with all roughs & bunkers, as they do not give you that bad of a lie (I mean around 90% or higher at best), but that doesn't always stop it from giving you a bad shot (your character will be upset in the background when that happens, even when it's in there close to the hole (I'm talking about in the close-to-the-green rough/bunker approach/recovery shot), which is pretty weird). Be aware however as the power bar shrinks severely & it's easier to get a "!".
5. Another big failure with HSG is the water hazards & out of bounds penalty rewards, as sometimes when you get it in the water, it gives you O.B (this happens when there is no splash when it hits (not skips) the water). This will now make you think EXTRA careful about those pesky hazards, as you don't want to get ripped off.
6. If you're just one of those lazy guys who HATE completing the entire game, use the user name 5TNEPO. This name gets you everything. Now the only thing you have to do is set some records & have fun!
7. If you have the "Point Decision" rule, the game is a whole lot more harder to get a win. First off, if there is a tie, the point value comes into place. You need to avoid hazards & put on an impressive performance to rack up those points. Making it into a bunker, the water, O.B or getting an unplayable shot loses you points. Hit the fairway, get a birdie, eagle, double eagle, ace, successfully skipping on the water & out of it (getting in the water after the ball skips cancels the skip points), making the green, getting a close approach shot & making your putts (score...
