When you have beaten every quest, quit the game and start new with the same character, and you’ll notice that you get rare items when you finish easy quests, do this over and over again and sell them, then you’ll have at least 10000 gold.

Played the game solo for a long time and have a friend who just got it? Host a multiplayer game with your higher level character, and have them join. As you adventure, they will gain levels at a near-manic pace. Their gold-per-level will be poor, however, and it will take them some time to get the huge stockpile you have even if you let them loot everything.
