you cant use forbidden cards thats why they are called forbidden

After you have unlocked the lab where you enter the passwords for the cards, go to the
machine type in your cards. After you have done this go to the guy at the counter and
choose yes to rent cards (you can only rent 3 cards at a time). after you have picked your
rentals exit and then press square and go to deck edit. Place all card rentals in deck,
etc. Then exit and talk to the guy at the counter again and select yes. once in rental
screen go to the screen where you your card rentals are and press triangle. Select the
option that allows you to either clear and undo that list of cards, voila your are free to
choose you next 3 rentals without having to pay DP. make sure you return to the rental
screen and clear your rental list. This is the easiest way to build a powerful dueling
deck. (save game once your done, and your set). Hope this helps.
