 yes you can get a child from cliff, to earn alot of money ship everything. on the first 5 days of spring theres a game on tv with the harvest goddess, you can get treasure chest which sells for alot. (i can't remember how much though..)

 you can buy them from the tv shopping network - watch the tv on saturdays and it will be selling things, go to the inn and use the phone to buy it.
