 My opinion is speed, because if you have AR you could out run a red shell, (I've seen it happen)but it you don't and you have the three mushroom it will at least buy you some time. P.S. It also depends on the track like Rainbow Road that's not..

 Must win all 50cc 100cc 150cc and 150cc mirror tracks and get gold on every single one then you've unlocked R.O.B. Hope this helps. -Kalamazoo
