 The chest contains a legendary weapon and legendary armour if you own the Limited Edition of Fable II. You can also get a chicken suit from it if you got to the website, but I'm not sure if it's still active...

 First thing you should do when you are on the beach is turn around and swim to the cove, there is a chest there. The next chest you will find is in the stern of the beached (read: destroyed) ship. Follow the trail up until you get to a small area..

 There is no singing sword in the game. People have made mods to make the weapon available in the game... just google it.
