Secret - Legendary Pokemon

Giratina
Uxie
Azelf
Mespirit
Dialga
Palkia
Heatran
Regigigas
Cresselia
Regice
Re gisteel
Regirock
Articuno
Moltres
Zapdos
Darkai
Shaymin
Arceus

Again, some require cheating. But The legendary birds do not. They're actually found in the game. They roam around in the grass like Mespirit and Cresselia. Take full advantage of your tracking map to hunt them down.

Secret - Eterna Gym-Gardenia

Unlike D/P, Platinum totally revamped this gym. It looks cooler but there really is no puzzle here. Just beat the trainers to rotate the clock-hands. You'll eventually end up at where Gardenia is. Here are her pokemon.

Lv20 Turtwig: Grass
Grass Knot, Razor Leaf, Sunny Day, Reflect

Lv20 Cherrim: Grass
Grass Knot, Leech Seed, Magical Leaf, Safeguard

Lv22 Roserade: Grass/Poison
Grass Knot, Magical Leaf, Poison Sting, Stun Spore

Chimchar or Monferno can sweep this gym. Flying types also do well here. You can use Prinplup and Pluck/Peck, but it isn't recommended. Grotle or Turtwig can resist the attacks, but won't do much in return. Ponyta can also be a good addition if you don't have other fire types.

Secret - Hearthome Gym-Fantina

Like woah! Fantina is no longer the 5th gym like in D/P. She can be directly battled for another badge right after Gym#2. So this makes her the third gym now. She has few weaker pokemon, obviously because of the gym # drop. They also got rid of that stupid math puzzle. They added a cool new match puzzle. Here are Fantina's pokemon.

Lv24 Duskull: Ghost
Will-o-Wisp, Pursuit, Shadow Sneak, Future Sight

Lv24 Haunter: Ghost/Poison
Shadow Claw, Sucker Punch, Hypnosis, Confuse Ray

Lv26 Mismagius: Ghost
Shadow Ball, Psybeam, Magical Leaf, Confuse Ray

You might have the third evolution of you starter by now, or maybe not. Try to get a pokemon that knows a Dark move. Luxio should already know Bite. So that's good training for this electric type.

Secret - Veilstone Gym-Maylene

Instead of pushing around walls like in D/P, Platinum added a newer puzzle involving punching bags. You need the punch the bags to knock over the tires. When you knock over the one blocking the path to the top, you can battle Maylene.

Lv28 Meditite: Psychic/Fighting
Drain Punch, Confusion, Rock Tomb, Fake Out

Lv29 Machoke: Fighting
Karate Chop, Rock Tomb, Strength, Focus Energy

Lv32 Lucario: Steel/Fighting
Drain Punch, Force Palm, Metal Claw, Bone Rush

Lucario is a formidable type. You should have your third starter evolution by now or be close to it. Infernape tears through Lucario and is equal to other fighting types. Beware of Bone Rush though, its super effective. Empoleon can utilize Peck, preferably Pluck to deal some double damage. Watch out for its added Steel type. Torterra can crush Lucario's steel type with Earthquake and can take hits from the fighting type pokemon. Any starter is good here.

Secret - Pastoria City-Crasher Wake

This gym remained the same from D/P. BORING! Just go through the motions again to get to Wake. He has a cool animation though, but it doesn't make up for the same boring gym. He has some stronger pokemon too.

Lv33 Gyarados: Water/Flying
Brine, Waterfall, Bite, Twister

Lv34 Quagsire: Water/Ground
Mud Bomb, Rock Tomb, Water Pulse, Yawn

Lv37 Floatzel: Water
Brine, Ice Fang, Crunch, Ice Fang

The real threat here is Floatzel. With its quick speed and high attack, it can deal some damage. Torterra with be crushed with Ice Fang and Empoleon can only deal damage with its non water/steel moves, Infernape may be a good choice, but fails if it doesn't land 1hko moves. Stick with Luxray or another grass type if you have them.

Secret - Canalave City-Byron

This gym has also remained the same from D/P. Byron also has a pretty lame animation. The only upside is that the gym has better steel types. So you won't run into all the Steelix and Bronzor like in D/P. Also the random trainer with the Azumarill in D/P has changed.

Lv37 Magneton: Electric/Steel
Flash Cannon, Tri-Attack, Thunderbolt, Metal Sound

Lv38 Steelix: Steel/Ground
Flash Cannon, Ice Fang, Earthquake, Sandstorm

Lv41 Bastiodon: Rock/Steel
Metal Burst, Stone Edge, Iron Defense, Taunt

Pretty much all the starters do well here. Infernape with fire and fighting moves. Empoleon boasts its water type attacks and Torterra with Earthquake. Watch out for Bastiodon's Metal Burst. It's just like Counter and Mirror Coat combined. So any attack can backfire if you don't 1hko this pokemon.

Secret - Snowpoint Gym-Candice

Another same old gym. LAME LAME LAME! Her animation is decent, but not great. At least she has new cooler additions. Hey cool, ice, lol. Yeah bad pun.

Lv40 Sneasel: Dark/Ice
Slash, Aerial Ace, Faint Attack, Ice Shard

Lv40 Piloswine: Ice/Ground
Avalanche, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Hail

Lv42 Abomasnow: Ice/Grass
Avalanche, Wood Hammer, Water Pulse, Focus Blast

Lv44 Frosslass: Ice/Ghost
Blizzard, Double Team, Shadow Ball, Psychic

Empoelon will do only decent here, so let's just take that pokemon out of the equation. Infernape completely crushes this gym. Don't think about using Torterra, you'll have a very hard time without of some rock type moves. Even if you do, Torterra's slow speed will still make it fall. Froslass is a cool addition, so watch out for that. Blizzard gains a 100% accuracy in hail.

Secret - Battle Frontier

Here is a quick description of the new Battle Frontier area. Check my later guides for more in-depth info. This new area is similar to Emerald's Battle Frontier. You will receive battle points to exchange for prizes. There is also an added move tutor area. You can teach some of your pokemon cool moves if you have the BP for it.

If you haven't figured this out already, the new Battle Frontier replaced the old Battle Park. The Battle Tower is still standing and the Battle Factory is still continued from Emerald. There are 5 venues where you can test your skills as a trainer.

You can use your pokemon in these different areas. Battle Tower, Battle Factory, Battle Roulette, Battle Caste, and Battle Stage. Each area is unique and like in Emerald, each area has a Frontier Brain.

Secret - Pokemon fun facts (About not just this Pokemon game!)

*In generation 1, there were only 3 dragon types all in the same family and the same went for ghost-types. Coincedentally, they are the only 2 types that are super effective against themselves.
*Generation 3 is the only generation so far with pure steel-types (Not counting Arceus with the steel plate because it's not usually a steel-type).
*Even though dragons breathe fire, there is yet to be a combination of fire and dragon Pokemon.
*There is yet to be a pure Flying-type (Aside from Arceus because it's not normally a flying-type).
*Flying types have been a combination with every other type except for fighting.
*Bibarel is the only non-pure Normal-type that's still weak against fighting-types.
*There are more water-types than any other Pokemon.
*Each pachyderm Pokemon is a ground-type except for Drowzee and Hypno.
*If a Ditto was fighting another Ditto and they couldn't switch out and are still in Ditto form, the battle would never end because they'd keep transforming into each other.
*In one of the Pokemon Episodes (Specifically Haunter vs. Kadabra), Ash said ghost-types are strong against Psychic Pokemon, however, this wasn't true until generation 2 and at the time Ash said taht ghost-types are strong against Psychic types, they had no effect on psychic-types.
*Even though Magnemite and Magneton are steel-types, they couldn't learn any steel attacks until generation 4.
*Agatha is supposed to be a ghost-type Pokemon elite 4, even though she mostly uses poison-types.
*Some episode guides said that Princess versus Princess was the first Orange Island episode, even though Ash wasn't on the Orange Islands at that time.
*In the anime, Snubbull, Marril, Ho-Oh, Togepi, Donphan, Ledyba, Bellossom, Elekid, Hoothoot, Slowking and Lugia are all Johto Pokemon that appeared before the Johto season (Post any of the Johto Pokemon I missed that appeared in the anime before the Johto journeys).
*There are no Pokemon songs in SSBB that played the exact same way they did in the Pokemon games they were first heard.
*Each Pokemon that ends in the letters 'don' is a ground-type except for Shieldon and Bastiodon.
*If there were a GBA version of Pokemon Yellow (Like the one in Firered&Leafgreen) the player would be able to get Raichu unlike Yellow players because they'd be able to go to Four Island and leave Pikachu at the day care with a Ditto and it would have an egg containing PIchu that they'd be able to evolve into a Pikachu and then into a Raichu.
*There is yet to be a dark-type Pokemon gym.
