Cheats - Bowser Jr.'s KartWhen you fall off the track, when the little cloud man bring you back to the track, if you press the gas button right when the wheels touch the ground, you'll also get a little boost. Courtesy of fUble_baSs. You get a boost at the start if you press A right after the lights turn green. You can also get a much larger boost though in co-op when both players press A at the same time. Courtesy of Duncan. To receive a boost at the beginning of a race, hit A at the same time the announcer says go. If timed correctly, you will jump to the head of the pack. |
Cheats - Mario Kart Double Dash cheats(You will need a mushroom for this shortcut.) Choose Yoshi's Circuit as your track. To cut across Yoshi's spine, when you come out of the second tunnel, a little bit out you will see a space in between the rail and the rest of the track. Now use your mushroom, and speed yourself off the ledge. If your timing was right, you should get ahead by alot! (P.S If you miss, say hello to a watery grave!) |
Cheats - All Cup TourThe Speed rating is, of course, the top speed of each vehicle. Note that the top speed averages only vary 1 to 2 mph per star, but over 3 laps, it all adds up. The Kart's weight factor will not only determine how much you slow down if you go off course, but also how much speed you will lose by making a turn without power sliding. For example, Bowser's Kart may have a ***** rating on speed, but the ***** rating on weight tends to make him lose more speed unless you power slide into your turns. The rule is, the heavier you are, the more power sliding will be necessary to keep that nice top speed bonus. Remember, the difference is fractional, but after three laps it all adds up. Other factors in-race that will alter your top speed is turning without power sliding (it will knock you down 1-2 mph), incline of the road (down-slope faster, up-slope slower), and turning while power sliding (which will actually raise your top speed 1 mph if you sustain it) will not lower your speed at all. The class speed breakdown is as follows. Note: This is an average. One star of weight more or less will alter the speed 1 mph or so respectively: 50cc 100cc 150cc/mirror * 42 mph 47 mph 54 mph ** 43 mph 48 mph 55 mph *** 44 mph 49 mph 56 mph **** 45 mph 50 mph 57 mph ***** 46 mph 51 mph 58 mph Note: It does not matter who you have driving; speeds remain the same no matter what character you choose to drive. |
Cheats - Daisy Cruiser: Short CutBefore the race starts, wait until the light turns green, and just before the words "Go" appear on the screen, hit A and you'll start the race much faster and get a big boost, and a big starting lead on all other opponents. |
Hints - Get The Kart That Toadsworth Drives After You Get A Gold TrophiAll you have To do is beat the All Cup tour in mirror mode and presto you unlocked that golden AWSome kart trust me i unlocked it to day. |
Cheats - Shortcut of Mushroom CityOk to get to the shortcut you have to go where you can go either right or forward. Go forward then turn left quickly and you will see a narrow path. That's the shortcut! |
Secret - Easy wins in rasesgo in 2 player each of you on difrent carts and whoever is better will play like he normally dose and the other will stay in last and get things like blue turtal shells and when the good player isnt in first the bad one can use it |
Easter Egg - Double and Triple DriftWhen you go to turn, you can drift by hold L or R. But if you hold both L + R simontainiously, you get a double drift. A double drift gives you a bigger boost than just a normal drift. A triple drift, is doing the double drift, and using a mushroom at the same time. The Triple Drift is a REALLY big boost. =) |
Unlockable - Unlockable CharactersThese are all the characters you can unlock.
|
Easter Egg - Japanese Contest codeAfter completing a Time Trial race (When it says Retry, Change Track, etc,), press L,R,L,R,X,Y,X,Y,Z. The code that pops up was for a Japanese contest. Totally useless, but it's interesting that they forgot to take that out. |
Secret - Mario Circuit Goomba BoostsIf the Goombas on Mario Circuit are hit with a turtle shell, they will be squished into the ground and a boost will fly off them. If a thunderbolt is used on the course, it will squish them all and there will be several boosts lying in that area. It doesn't work the same as the mushroom cars; if you hit a goomba they stay solid and you spin around a bit. Turtle shells are you're best bet. |
Secret - ShortcutsOkay I won't list every shortcut in the game. The ones where you cut through places are "obvious". Here it goes... Peach Beach: At the first part of the beach area with the cataquacks, go straight instead of right. You'll come across a ramp with a turbo. Only come here with a mushroom, because if the tide is high enough, you could get slowed down from this shortcut! Mushroom Bridge: After you exit the 1st tunnel, go straight (Make sure you have a mushroom when you do it!) You will go up and down a ramp. When you reach the bridge, go up the sides of it (IF you're good at holding your balance). This isn't really a shortcut but there are a lot of turbos on the sides of the bridge. Mushroom CIty: In one part of the city, you can turn right to go on a path between buildings. Later in the level, towards the end, you can use a mushroom to get across the right part of the area. Yoshi Circuit: Before one of the big turns, you can use a mushroom to jump over the pond and skip the big turn. Later in the level, you can use a starman to go left and to a tunnel shortcut. Be careful--it's really hard to reach and you may end up falling into the water! Dino Dino jungle: At the part where you reach the bridge that splits in 2 paths, there's actually a 3rd one that takes you through it faster, but make sure you're good at holding your balance or you'll fall into the water. Once you reach the cave after that, you can go right using a mushroom. Bowser's castle: In the room with the firebreathing Bowser statue, you can jump over one of the holes. You can even do it without a mushroom, but don't take it if the Bowser statue is breathing fireballs or you'll fall into the lava! That's it. I haven't played this game in a while, so my shortcuts probably weren't accurate, but DO NOT THUMB THIS DOWN! |
