 You have to collect 12 butterflies and give them to her. Use the torch to collect them then bring them to her.

 How do you get the doors opened to go to sled ride? I cannot reach the "idols" up top.

 You have to have the heroic dive to jump to the next spot (ledge). There should be a total of 12 butterflies to return to the princess.
