 when you get off he roof....keep going straight over the 3 boxes and grab on to the rope then go onto the platform and into the attic.....put a box on the second button......that will put up 2 platforms....XD

 say that the alethiometer is a clock....the lightning bolt is at 9:00...it looks like a stick

 you use the other door.....you go over it with the bug form and then you stack those 3 blocks on top of eachother by the lever. after that u put pan on them woth the ferret from and press y. it opens the other door
