Walkthrough - Capital Island - The BeginningOk. I've decided to create a walkthrough for the entire game, but will be posting it in segments (As I re-complete the game >.<) So, here is Capital Island. Yes, it's basic, but some people may need some of the information. (Quick tidbits are located at the bottom) You begin outside the pig farm you work on, your boss being a woman named Elmira. This portion of the game is mainly teaching you how to control your sim and... well, play the game. Elmira will tell you to lead the pigs to the mud. Simple enough, do it. Afterwards, you'll talk to her again, then Buddy will arrive, asking you to play. After a bit of conversation, he'll 'drop' the invitations he was supposed to be delivering for the king, and ask you to find them. - One is immediately to your right, between the cliff and the farm. - When you're facing the farm, go immediately to your right for another one. - Follow the path past buddy, and go to the cliff to your right. Here, you'll learn how to jump. There are invitations on the first and third levels of this cliff. - Coming off the cliff, there is one directly across the path. - Next to the river is a raised area, where two wooden platforms sit. There is an invitation there. - To the left of the castle (facing it) - And the last is in Butter's Mushroom Garden (To the right of the castle) After more conversation, and the arrival of Lindsay, you'll be told to go to the castle, for Wandolier trials. Go to the castle, watch the cutscene, you'll be sent to the Isle of Magic for Wandolier trials/training. You'll have to do 7 trials. - 1) Treasure Chests: Go around the edge of the island and open the four treasure chests. - 2) Block on Platform: Marlon will show you how to move things with your wand. - 3) Dolls on shelf: This teaches you how to rotate things with your wand. - 4) Clear Bushes/Build House: Self-Explanatory - 5) Decorate House: You'll have to put windows on it. - 6) Painting the house: Self-Explanatory - 7) Gears: You'll be taught how to use gears. You'll go back, be declared Wandolier (Barney wins the toaster.) Leave the castle after that, more conversation, Barney will need your help. The area next to the river (With the wooden platforms) is where he is. You'll have to move the platforms to make a bridge. After another cutscene and more talking, you'll find you have to build stairs, and get a scroll. You need wood. Elmira shows up with an axe, and you have to socialise with her. Choose options you think she'll like. (eg. Read Poem instead of poke) You'll get the axe, and be told to chop trees for wood. Do so. With enough esscence, you'll build the stairs. At the top, Lo n' Behold, the gate is closed. You need gears! But, alas, you don't have the scroll. Butter shows up. (I don't like her.) She goes on about how she hid the scroll, socialise with her! (Hint: She's seriously egotistical) She'll tell you she hid the scroll in a treasure chest near her mushroom garden. GO GET IT! You need metal. You'll be taught how to mine. Once you complete the scroll and put the gears in place (sadly, you can't just use two big gears, Small ones will be needed) the gate will open. Before you go through, using the conveyer belt and gears as a boost, jump up to the cliff. There is a chest. In it will be simoleans, and a King Roland Statue (Which you'll need later). Go through the gate, and coming down the small hill, there is a treasure chest to the left of the screen. You'll recieve the garden scroll. Don't worry about completing it yet, you can't. More talking, Barney will ask you to build his house. DO IT! Afterwards, he'll give you a furniture scroll, and you'll get his old treasure finder. This is for prospecting. Use it to get enough amber and stone to complete the furniture scroll, then decorate the inside of his house. Marlon and Roland will show up, tell you about the quest, and King Points (At which point Guillermo the pigeon will show up) Barney will tell you to bring him all the fish you find (Quest: A Fishy Proposition) Now, you'll be at the map. PRESS B! YOU AREN'T DONE YET! (Unless you want to come back later...) Ok, you can now complete the garden scroll. It will turn nighttime, because you've finished all the quests of the island, for now. Don't worry about it. Prospect for Amber, and you'll need to mine. Another esscence you need is 'happy'. This you can obtain by going up to other Sims (Anyone but Buddy and Lindsay) and select 'Be Nice'. Likewise, you can get sad esscence by selecting 'Be Mean'. Also, continue prospecting around the island until you find 'Breastplate of Resistance' You'll need it for a later quest. QUICK TIDBITS - Resources available on the island - Wood Apple Dead Wood (continue chopping at the tree until it dies, then stomp on trunk) Metal Bronze Amber Stone (And of course Mana, Happy, and Sad) - Items for other quests - KING ROLAND STATUE - Found on cliff above gears opening gate. Use gears as a boost. BREASTPLATE OF RESISTANCE - Prospect around the island. It's total luck as to how soon you'll find it. That's it for Capital Island! (For Now) Hope that helped you out a bit. |

Well... you'll have to download for the whole walkthrough apparently... seeing as the rest isn't showing up here...
