A few other tricks include:
1) Make your team as bad or worse than theirs, that way them getting your pokemon isn't
that bad (for example, try a team of 6 Shieldon or 6 Cranidos (depending on wether (sorry
about spelling) you have Diamond or Pearl, I have a team of 6 Cranidos and I think I beat
Neon coliseum with it)
2) Get pokemon that are good against each other, so if you get some of them, you can beat
the others (or vice versa, get a lot of pokemon that are bad against each other so they
cant kill you with your own pokemon (you could try a ghost team with only normal type (and
fighting type) moves))
3) Pray that you get lucky and/or just do it over and over again until you do.
