With grenades moving the nunchuck up results in rolling it and moving it down
makes you throw one. By moving the nunchuck you can do much more including
knock tables and other objects that are glowing as well as destroy objects or
knock guys out.

Red Steel is a title that is only available for the Nintendo Wii. It was
first available on Nov. 19th or basically when the Wii launched. It is the
only first person shooter that was built from the ground for the Wii. The
game makes good work of the Wii remote but this does get somewhat annoying
when you play through a level for half an hour and your arm can’t move
afterwards. This is just something you get used to though.

The basic story of this game is that you are a bodyguard of the daughter of a
rich man from Japan. You are going to propose to her that night and she is
captured by the Yakuza. You end up chasing her around area to area just
missing her until you finally find her.

P99
A small pistol you get at the beginning of the game. It is slow with firing
and not very deadly unless you get a head shot. Personally I wouldn’t keep it
if I were you.
Uzi
A SMG with very rapid fire and a large magazine of 45 rounds. Be careful
though, even with that big a magazine it runs out quite quickly. This is one
of my favorite weapons and I recommend it for the early levels.
M4 Shotgun
This little devil fires a number of shells at once and does massive damage.
You should have one of these as often as you can. If you are close enough it
should only take one shot to blow your enemy away.
Scar
For how good these are you get them some early in the game. They are extremely
deadly, have rapid fire, a quality zoom and a fast reload. You should always
have one.
AE Rifle
The zoom feature on it is extremely useful at times but not always. When you
are surrounded by a number of guys and want to lock onto a guy it gets annoying
with the zoom feature.
My Order-
This is my order of what gun you should use and what ones you shouldn’t as
well as why.
1. Scar- practical perfect, quick, fast reload, good zoom and can carry 120
rounds of reloads. Don’t lose it.
2. Type 89- it’s very deadly and really fast. You should carry one as often
as you can.
3. AE Rifle- the scope is nice but what happens if a guy is off to your side.
Other than that it’s great.
4. M4 Shotgun- it’s deadly and fast enough to slaughter a number of dudes.
Just so long as you don’t have to reload.
5. Type 12- These are very deadly but in the sense of heavy weapons aren’t
the best. Get the Type 89.
6. M40- Has good fire power and is fairly fast. The best in the sense of
light weapons.
7. Uzi- it’s fast but not very accurate and not extremely deadly without a
number of shots.
8. MP412- It may be strong but it is somewhat slow. Also has minimal bullet
capacity.
9. MP7- it’s equal to the Uzi except in speed. Not very useful. Take it over
some pistols though.
10. 45 C- It is only slightly stronger than the P99. Only take it if you
must.
11. P99- don’t waste your time with it. It’s slow and weak and doesn’t have
many rounds in a magazine.

To start the game Miyu will start going on about the fish. All you need to do
is point at the right one and than she goes on to the next one. First you
point at the one in the middle, than on top, bottom, left, right. After that
look at the one off to the far left of the tank, next the one on the far
right. This is more like precision pointing than anything. Just do it and get
it over with.
Now you’ll find yourself at the table and watch a quick cut scene. Afterwards
just follow Miyu. If you don’t want to wait than you can just go ahead of her
turn to your left and just follow the path. You will see Miyu join her father
and one of the bodyguards says you will have to wait. Suddenly one of the
waiters in behind starts shooting. The bodyguard shoots him and runs into the
room to see if Miyu and Sato are OK. Follow him into the room and you are
going to be punched and knocked unconscious for a few minutes.
When you wake up you will find the room empty. Go over to the glowing table
and knock it over by moving the Nunchuck up and down. Next do the same thing
over the gun to get it. Press B to fire if you want but it isn’t very useful
and just a waste of ammo. Go into the next room by going to the door and
shake the Nunchuck up and down again. When you get through you will find a
waiter who will try and shoot you. Of course fire back at him. To get an
easier shot hold the A button down and it will target him giving you a
slightly easier shot. When you take him down move over to the left and two
more will come in. Knock the nearby table over and hit Z to crouch. If you
get hit the game will stop quickly and explain about damage and how to heal.
If you take damage quickly hide and don’t take any fire or else you could
die. Just try and get some head shots and they will go down quickly. Once you
have taken them out go out to the gun on the ground which you will notice are
glowing. Pick them up by simply walking over them.
Go through the door and turn to your left. You will see one waiter being shot
at. Quickly take him out before he even notices you. Walk off to your right
and you will see a bodyguard who will ask you to follow him. Follow him up
the stairs and you will have your first real fighting thus far. He will be
shot down instantly and you have about five guys to take out. See if you can
knock any down from here. Otherwise go to the little spot where you can take
cover just in right in front of you and start picking them off one at a time.
Be cautious of your health and duck down when you need to heal up. Once
they’re all down grab any ammo and go through the next door.
In here you will need a little more strategy, quickly find a place to hide
and start shooting. Don’t forget to hold A and if you can’t get a good shot
because they are to far away move the controller forward and you will get a
zoom view. This makes picking them off a little bit easier. Once these guys
are down go up the stairs and you will find two more. This isn’t very tough
just take them down one at a time. Once you’re done go to the door off to the
right and the screen will go black. I find this somewhat annoying buy just
wait and you will be in a hallway.
You will be able to go forward or the right. Go off to the right. There will
be a window you can see through. Get a guy in your sight and shoot a few
times. The glass will shatter and some enemies start shooting. Take them out
and once you’re done go down the other passage and through the door. Another
guy will come out. Watch out for him, he’s got an Uzi. You should take cover
and shoot him. Once you take him down pick-up his gun, go through the door
and grab all the ammo you can in the next room. Now you will see some glowing
heaters or something like that. Stand back and shoot them.
They will explode of course and will open a new path. Jump over the fallen
wall with C. Quickly look down and pick off the dude below you. Now work your
way up and take out the enemies. Once you go up two flights of stairs some
more guys will come out the level below. Of course pick them off. Now start
going up and killing the remaining guys. Once up the last flight go to your
left and into another room. There will be no enemies or anything. It’s just a
chance to heal. Once you get through to the next room you will find yourself
on the roof. Turn to the left to see Sato being attacked. Kill his attacker.
He will thank you quickly. Now go up the ladder you should see and fall down
fast. You will be shot and likely killed if you don’t. This place is crawling
with enemies. The best strategy is hide and shoot. Once you take out a few
some will drop some bigger guns. Switch to your P99 and grab this gun. The M4
Shotgun is what you’ll get. This is a deadly weapon and can take out a number
of enemies at once if you get lucky. Just finish off the remaining dudes and
don’t forget the one up above on the crates. Once they are all dead Sato will
come through. Follow him and he will open a door. Once he does go off your
left and you will find another. Go through here and you will come to the
elevator

At the beginning of the level the elevator you are in will start being shot
at and will eventually stop. Press Z to crouch and get out of there. When you
do it will fall no matter how long you take to get out. You will grab the
sword in the corner and a swordsman will come out. Sato will coach you
through the fight. Just slash the guy six times and than you will have to
hold down C and push to either the left or right to dodge the blows. After
this you will actually have to fight. Just slash him and when he attacks all
you need to do is dodge, leaving him vulnerable. After you finish his health
you will be given the option of killing him or sparing him. I personally like
killing him seeing how it is your first fight but it’s your call.
Now go down the hall and you will find some enemies. Just hide behind the
boxes and take them out. See if you can get some more ammo. Once your done go
through the door to your right and you will be in a smaller hallway go
through the door at the end on your left. Another swordsman will come out and
attack you now you will learn how to parry. Just flick the wiimote and you
will parry. Do it at the right time and you will destabilize him. After that
you will get to kill him. Once your done I would personally spare him. This
is where it gets strange. When you do he will bow to you and than eventually
just plain vanish. Weird.
Now go through the double door. This got me a few times, after the fight I
would end up spinning around and go through the wrong door so be careful. You
will come down a hall way and now need to go to a room to your right. Once in
here you should knock down the table and use it for cover. There aren’t many
guys up here but some more down low. Try and eliminate these guys by hiding
under that table and firing at the guys on the right first than the one right
in front of you. Now take cover near the stairs and start shooting. Hopefully
you still have ammo in that shotgun. Go through the door behind the bar and
through the next door to a quick cut scene.
Now you are going to have to hold the area for 200 seconds. There are only 12
guys that will pop out but that’s enough to kill you. As soon as you kill
them all though you’re done. Once you’re done there will be four more so be
ready for them to pop out at you to. Go through to the next room through the
front our side. It doesn’t matter all that much. Once you’re in a room where
you here a helicopter or something like that look for a wooden door off to
your right. Go through and you will see some metal grates up ahead. To your
right is a door. Go through.
You’re now in a laundry room. There will be one guy who will go through a
door in the back of the room. Follow him and you will be ambushed by three
guys with shotguns. After killing them if you don’t have a shotgun grab one
and if you do get the ammo. Enter the room to your right and bring out your
shotgun. A number of dudes are in this room. Start shooting them down as
quickly as you can. When you’re done go to the next room. Once again there
are a number of enemies all with shotguns. Take them out. Go to the end of
the room and go through the door. Make sure you have your shotgun to make
things easier later.
You will go into a sword fight. This guy is very easy. Simply slice him. If
he does attack all you need to do is block or parry the blow and strike. You
may want to practice the destabilizing blow. When he’s dead look to the door
ahead with your shotgun ready. As soon as the door opens blast it. Only two
enemies will pop out but it makes it quicker if you just eliminate them like
that. Go through the door and you will have another sword fight. Same
strategy. By this point you should start sparing most swordsmen. Once he’s
dead go through the elevator.
Once you’re up go through the door until you see Miyu and Sato. When you see
them Ryuchi will rush them into the car and shoot at you. The cars will than
take off. Go through the door to your right and you will see a bunch of
diagonal white lines. Follow these to a door and go through. Once you get to
the top of a flight of stairs you will see a car passing by. Go to your right
where you will see a guy that you shouldn’t have a problem with. Go up the
stairs killing anyone ahead of you. I suggest the Uzi. Keep going up until
you come to a point where you see the car up ahead. Shoot it! Make sure it
crashes into the pillar. The driver will come out and you will have to sword
fight him. Same strategy as you have been using and do whatever you want with
him.

You’ll start this level in the front lobby of the spa. Two guys pop out at
you nearly instantly. If you still have the shotgun fire at them right away.
If you only have an Uzi it may be in your best interest to go off to your
left and start firing. Hide when it’s necessary and just take those guys out.
Advance into the next room. There will be one dude in here so just shoot him
until he goes down. Keep going until you find yourself just outside a large
room. You might notice some guys in there. Hopefully you have shotgun and can
zoom a guy and just pick him off. By now they know you’re here and you need
to just start blasting them. Take cover and look out so you can see just one
at a time. You may have to go deeper into the room to d this. Use this
strategy to take them out one at a time.
Once you’re done, find the stairs in the back right and go up them. There
will be a few guys here that you will have to take down so use the crates and
what not to your advantage as cover. Once you have taken these guys out go
into the next room and than the next one at the end of the hallway. In here
you will find a key card that you will have to take to the Members Only room.
So get going.
So you just cleared out all those dudes and suddenly there is a whole bunch
more. Quickly duck down and start moving until you come to a few dudes. If
you have a shotgun start shooting, if you just have an Uzi you should take a
few shots and hide, take a few shots and hide and continue until they are
down. Now there are a few guys down low. You have two choices. One, you can
go down and shoot from the bar. Or two, shoot from up here. I recommend
number two. Now go back to the member’s only spa area.
You will see some people in the Jacuzzi. Go over and talk to them. Don’t
shoot them. They can’t be killed or even hurt. Just go up the stairs and
through the door. You now have to shut down the two security systems. Go
through the door to your left and some guys will start blasting at you. Take
them out and go through the last door straight ahead of you to your left. Of
course there are some guys in here. Shoot them and grab any ammo. Now go
through the room to your left and keep going. Suddenly the glass in the last
room will shatter. Shoot the guy behind. The glass and than the glowing box
which is the first of the security systems. Once it’s down go through the
door you will see a locked door right in front of you. Go to the one to the
right of it. Once in the glass to your left will shatter same as before shoot
the dude in there and than the machine. Now two guys will storm the room.
Take them out. Go back to the door where you couldn’t get into earlier.
Now several guys are coming at you. Pick off the guys up top first because
they have an easier shot at you. There are two guys down low so shoot them
down. Now go to the back of the room and up the stairs. Shoot anybody up
here. Now look down. Two guys will come through the door. Shoot them down
quickly. Now go to the other side of the room where Angel went. Start
shooting at the dude here and than fall down into the elevator.
Once out of the elevator I’m going to tell you this. If you can get a Type 12
here get it until it runs out of ammo and get another as soon as possible. It
will be very useful later in the level. Now you will be in a locker room.
Guys are going to be popping up left and right. Just take them out one at a
time. Keep killing until you come to a room with three shower stalls off to
your right, in the middle one there is some light armor which I recommend you
take. After a bit you will see Angel who you will run and a guy will come
through the door. Kill him. You will come into a room with a few guys behind
a canvas or something. Kill them and then the others in this room. Now you
will come to a room with a guy at the back of the room. He says “I’m going
kill you kid”. He seems to be invincible but if you pelt him enough he will
go down. Be careful of the other guys that will enter the room and grab the
armor on the bench.
In the next room you will find Angel. She’ll start talking and than give you
the slip. A guy will come out. Just shoot him down. Go up the stairs to your
left and you will soon find yourself on a balcony. If you still have that
Type 12 it has a good shot which you can use here. Once you’re done go up to
the car and Angel will tell you where Ryuichi is.

At the beginning of the level a guy is going to come out with a baseball bat.
Different, but you have to kill him anyway. You can’t parry hi strikes
because of how powerful they are. So if he is about to attack either dodge or
quickly strike. Once you kill him go through to the building. Move somewhat
slowly. When you start hearing talking get out whatever your better gun may
be and start shooting at the two guys. With the first one get a head shot
because you have some time to aim. Two more guys will come through the door.
Kill them quickly because soon two more will as well.
Go through the next door where you will find a huge amount of Uzis and M4
Shotguns. Grab both and go up the stairs with your shotgun ready. There will
be a guy on the same balcony area as you so pick him off. Now start firing at
the cars down low until they explode. If you do run out of ammo or just want
a little more go back to that room of course. Jump down and go over to the
glowing lever and pull it. You will see something above you move. Go back to
a door below the balcony and go back up the stairs to the balcony.
Go across and a window will shatter. Start shooting the guy in there. Now cross
the metal grate that you moved earlier. Be care3ful you don’t fall but if you
do just do it again. Once you cross go through the door. Now go through the
door to your left and you will find a number of Type 12s. Grab one and get full
ammo. Now go back to the other room and through the door to your left.
In this area there are a number of guys that you have to kill. First look under
the first car you see and pick that guy off with your new Type 12. Now a bunch
of guys come over so of course shoot the car and it will explode. Shoot the
next car over and the little fork lift. Now there are a pair of guys up at the
top of the stairs. Pick them off quickly. Now go up the stairs and through
the door. Grab the key card and head out. Now about five guys come out at the
back. Start shooting and hope you hit one of the explosive barrels or else you
will likely end up screwed. There will probably be one left for you to take
out. Just shoot him down like anybody else. Now go through to the next room.
You will be in a room with a number of dudes. Go up the stairs to your right
and in to the room. If a dude comes in pick him off of course. Now look around
and start shooting some of the other guys. Once you have killed them all go
back out of the room and to a pair of cars next to each other. One is red and
one yellow. Flick the switches and jump up on the cars and up to the higher
ground. Go through the door.
You will find yourself in a small room looking outside. Get a head shot in on
one of the guys outside. People will start firing at you from the outside. Fire
back until they are all dead. Go out the door to your right. Keep the Type 12
and grab the Scar that will be there. Now go through the door off to the right
outside. Go through the hall inside and through the door at the end of it. You
will be in a room with a car with a load of Scar rounds. Hit the switch to the
right and hop on the truck. People will start shooting at you through the
windows off to the side. Pick them off with the Scar. Once you get to the end
shoot at the car on the lift in the back. Start firing at any other guys around
and the guy in the room up top. You should use the Scars zoom feature which is
very good. Once you kill him go through the door to the right of the exploded
car. Look off to your left and you will find some light armor. Once you are at
the top and in the room go to the glowing switch and activate it.
Now go down and get ready for a good old sword fight. Go out the door and you
will come across a swordsman. So slice away at him. You can use the advice it
gives you about breaking blades. Once you take him out spare him. Go through
the door to your right and through the hallway and than the next door. Keep
going until you’re back outside where you will have another sword fight. Watch
out for his fierce blows. Spare him and go into the next room. Go down the
hallway and enter the warehouse.
Once you are in go to your left where you will find some light armor. Now go
off to the other side and shoot down the crates. Keep going and you will find
about four guys. Shoot them all down and climb the stairs. You will see Ryuichi
with Miyu. Cross the high level and pick off the two dudes where Ryuichi was.
Go through into there and through the door. Next you will see Ryuichi with Miyu
once again. Go through the door to your left. Once again you will see him but
now you have to go down and shoot the guys. They will run into the trucks. You
now have a tough sword fight coming up so get ready. Start slashing him. If he
attacks you dodge and strike. Once you’re done spare him and go into the only
open truck which will have a light on over top of it.

After the first little talk the two guys open the door. Shoot at the forklift
in behind them and it will kill them. Now get out and turn to your right. A
security guard will be there. Shoot him. He should drop an MP412. Grab it. Now
head down between the trucks until you get to the end. Turn and shoot the
forklift killing the other security guard. Now hope onto the conveyor belt and
head into the next room.
As soon as you have a chance start lining up for a head shot on one of the
guys. Start trying to take these guys out. They run around a little which gets
annoying. Just lock on to them and shoot them down. Work your way up into the
top room. Just try and pick off the guy that’s in there before going up. If you
have an Uzi zoom in with it on him. Anyway now once you get up there pull the
lever that’s up there and suddenly a bunch of guys will come out and start
shooting you. Pick them off with whatever you have. Now once you’re done go
onto the conveyor belt and into the next room. Get ready for a sword fight.
This guy is fairly weak however and shouldn’t be a problem at all. Spare him
and go into the next room.
Go into the warehouse here. There are about ten guys in here. Try and get a
head shot on the first guy and start firing at the rest of them. Take cover and
start taking them out. Be quick or else they might all come at you. Once they
are all dead go to the back of the room and activate the elevator. Once you get
up take out the guy and go through to the next room.
You will be in hallway. Just go through to a guy. Shoot him down. Trade up
whatever weapon of yours is weaker and grab the AE Rifle against the wall. Next
go through to the next room. If you didn’t get that AE than you are extremely
screwed. Find any random guy with the scope and pick him off. Start shooting at
them randomly now. Once all them are dead swap to your other weapon. You had
better have something heavy or else you’re screwed. When you are coming down
into a square shaped area a guy will come running up. Kill him fast. Now
quickly turn over to the tail of the airplane and fire and the guy hiding
behind the crates there. He has an AE to and it takes away somewhere between
three quarters and two thirds of your health. Once he’s dead take out the
remaining guys and go over to Miyu. Some guy will come through the door and you
had better be ready to shoot him. Now Miyu will give you a key card for the
door to your left.
Once you’re in this next room you can trade your AE up for a Scar which I would
advise. Go through to the next room and you’ll be outside. Don’t get used to it
you’ll be inside again very soon. Anyway shoot the guy sorting the grenades and
grab six. Now with look off to your left and there I a fairly large hole in the
ground. Get closer if you can’t see it. Roll a grenade into this hole and wait
for it to explode. Drop down and head down this hall shooting anybody left.
Just keep following this route killing anybody left until there is a quick cut
scene.
You will have a sword fight. It is a bit of a tough fight. Let him attack,
dodge, break his sword or slice him there. Once you finish with him and spare
him go through to the next room. Just follow this path and kill the guys. You
will be in a different hanger now. There is a guy up top you have to kill so
pick him off like that. Now move over into the larger section of the room.
There are some guys with grenades and just some normal guys. Kill whoever first
it doesn’t matter all that much. Now go through to the next area.
You will be confronted by a swordsman. He is extremely easily and only blocks a
few of your blows. You can always break his sword for training in that section.
Now look off to your right and you will see some guys up in the rafters of a
building. If you still have the AE this will be easy. If not, the
Scar also has very good zoom so it should be easy either way. There is also a
guy with a sniper so watch out for him. Take him out of course and now go up
the stairs and into hanger seven again.
You re in the spot just above where Miyu was. Quickly grab the AE at the other
end of the room and knock down any tables for cover. One guy has another AE so
be careful. He is the guy in the top left. Deal with him first. Take out the
other three and now pick off the dudes on the ground. One also has an AE and he
is right in front of a forklift so just blow it up. Now head down to where Miyu
was located. Keep going until you get to the plane. Once you get there you will
be have a sword fight coming up. The first guy will parry a good amount of your
blows and does a fierce attack every third strike. Use any strategy you feel
suitable to take him out just don’t parry the first blows. Spare him for a
whopping 150 respect. Now go over and battle Ryuichi. Okay battles over as he
will just kill you like that. He also will give you a message for Sato.
