is it knocking you off the platform each time?
this one killed me for a while =P what you need to do is get rid of all 4 arms first, and
once you get rid of 2 arms, the robot only hits in one place on the floor, the center.
this is the place where it knocks you off every time it hits, correct?
what you must do is jump every time the robot hits, that way you don't fall off every time
XP then you will see the arrows where you are supposed to hit the arm. the only way to hit
that area is to jump up and hit it while in the air. that way you can destroy all 4 arms
to move on to the laser gun. i hope that is helpful, and don't hesistate to ask more if
you need! =D

Expect it to take a very! long time
For a game that is actually designed for and played by younger children (and adults) the
Boss levels in this game are almost impossible to defeat for adults let alone children.
Like the last person's answer, the only way possible to beat the robot is to place your
character as close to the flashing circle as possible, jump and hit in the circle at the
same time. A very hard task because you are probably also recovering from being knocked
off the platform. The only way I can seem to keep Velma on the platform is to double jump
as the arm comes down on the ground. It is hard to anticipate where that might be when
there are four arms, you just need to move and watch, trying to jump as you see the arm
coming down and then get to the place where the circle is flashing. I found after the
first two arms are gone if you stay as close as you can to the center you have a better
chance hitting the one spot that will actually have an effect on knocking the arm off.
You will notice that you can hit the circle over and over with no response from the robot,
until you hit in just the right spot. Also you have to hit it over and over so "pieces"
will break off until you finally break the arm badly enough it falls off. Then Phase 2
begins, where the Robot head falls down and begins to shoot a stream of (green laser?) as
it turns from one side of the platform to the other. You will need to jump over the
stream or run with it - whatever you can do to not get hit by it. You will also then need
to watch for the rockets that he will be shooting out at you. Usually one and then
another in quick succession. You need to send enough of the rockets back at him to blow
him apart further. The "Z" button pressed as the rocket comes toward you will deflect it
and send it back. Then comes Phase 3 - here the tiny monster bears come out and you need
to fight them off at the same time the Robot is now shooting rockets at you all the time.
Again while fighting the bears you need to watch for the rockets and press "Z" as they
comes towards you to deflect it back to the robot. Thank goodness the last 2 phases are
not as grueling as the first. I have to admit it took me 45mins trying to defeat just
Phase 1 of the silly thing. My grandson (5 yrs old) who loves the rest of the game and we
play together over and over, refuses to play the boss levels in this game. He loves the
Boss levels in the Wii game "Scooby Doo Spooky Swamp", because you don't feel like you've
run a marathon after defeating the Boss no matter what Episode you are playing. I wish
you all luck. Be prepared, the Boss in the rest of the Episodes are equally as difficult.
