EMERALD HILL ZONE:  EGG DRILL
Hits required:  8
Simple.  He will come in from the right side of the screen.  Wait for Eggman to attach
himself to the Drill; you can't hit him unti he does.  After that, simply jump when he
comes at you, while jumping and hitting him on the head.  Spin-Dashing into the boss will
work, but is not recommended, as it won't allow for quick killing.  At seven hits, the
drill will detach itself and shoot forward.  Again, simple.  Just make like Mario and JUMP
ON IT!
CHEMICAL PLANT ZONE:  EGG SPILLER
Hits required:  8
Again, Eggman will fly it from the right side of the screen.  He will begin filling a
container with blue liquid; you should recognize it as "bad."  When it's full, he'll dump
it on your character.  If you keep moving, you can dodge, but be careful, because half of
the platforms disappear unerneath your feet!  Overall, take your time, and only hit him
when you have a free moment.
AQUATIC RUIN ZONE:  EGG PILLARS
Hits required:  8
When the fight begins, two pillars will rise on either side of your character.  Jump on
top of one as it rises; it'll make this fight much easier.  Eggman will appear with a
hammer mounted to his Egg-Pod.  This is none of your concern right now, just jump on him
and attack him until you fall.  When you do fall, note the hammer:  every time Eggman hits
a pillar with it, it'll shoot an arrow which attaches to the other pillar.  Use these
arrows as footholds to jump back onto the pillar.  This should be second nature,
but...don't let Eggman hit you with the hammer.
CASINO NIGHT ZONE:  EGG BOMBER
Hits required:  8
Note that this boss has a longer invulnerability time than usual between hits.  As you're
trapped in a small area, your only chance is to roll up the walls around you and fall on
him.  If you're Knuckles, one can grab onto the wall and glide into the boss to hurt it.
If you stand below the boss too long, he'll drop a small red ball on you, which DOES hurt.
So simple, yet, so devious.
HILL TOP ZONE:  EGG FLAMER
Hits required:  8
Eggman will come up out of the lava pit, with a flamethrower mounted to his Egg-Pod.  Wait
for him to shoot it, THEN hit him.  Be careful getting back onto the platforms, as the gap
is larger than it looks.  Eventually, he'll go back into the lava, shooting fireballs on
his way out.  Then the cycle repeats itself, and you should repeat until dead.
MYSTIC CAVE ZONE:  EGG MINER
Hits required:  8
When the fight starts, several rocks and spikes will fall from the ceiling.  Dodge ONLY
THE SPIKES, the rocks WILL NOT hurt you!  Then, Eggman will come out of the ceiling.  Hit
him according to how his drills are:  If they're pointed upward, hit him from underneath,
if to the side, from the top.  This boss really shouldn't take long at all.
OIL OCEAN ZONE:  EGG SUBMARINE
Hits required:  8
This boss gets credit for being harder than it actually is.  Eggman will come up out of
the oil; now's the chance to hit him.  When he goes back down, head UNDERNEATH one of the
platforms in the oil and repeatedly jump.  All the attacks are aimed at the platforms, so
you'll be fine!  After the laser attack, the process starts looping, that is, if you
didn't kill it already.
METRPOLIS ZONE:  EGG SHIELDER
Hits required:  8
Now, the rotating circles look menacing, and they are, but if you time it just right, you
can hit through the shield and land a free blow.  I reccomend waiting it out, however,
until you've found the rhythm.  At seven hits, Eggman's out of shield, so he'll move to
one side and shoot lasers across the screen.  Just stand underneath him and hit him from
below.  See, wasn't that easy?
SKY CHASE ZONE:  NO BOSS
Hits required:  N/A
This area has no boss, but the creatures here can be tricky.  Tails will fly whre you
walk, don't worry about falling.  Good job getting this far and I hope you make it through
the first time!
WING FORTRESS ZONE:  EGG LASER
Hits required:  8
This boss consists of three spiked-on-the-bottom platforms and one laser.  It's simple,
yet devious:  Simply stand on the platforms and hit the laser.  There's a pattern to the
platfoms' movement, but you kind of have to see it.  Good luck!
DEATH EGG ZONE:  METAL SONIC, VERSION ONE
Hits required:  8
You cannot Spin-Dash into this boss unless it's the final blow; however you can't just
jump on him either.  Jump at him, and aim for around the forehead:  his front half is the
only place he can take damage.  He has three simple attacks:  Rolling across the screen,
rolling and jumping, and rocket-propelling himself forward.  Overall, he's tougher than he
looks; show this metal copy who's boss!
FINAL BOSS:  METAL EGG
Hits required:  12
Don't rush him, just wait around.  Wait until he jumps, then move a bit to the side when
he's about to land.  Then, jump up and hit him in the RED torso area, to prevent unneeded
deaths to the black torso area.  If the number of times he's jumped is odd, RUN! He's
about to launch his fists at you, quickly get out of range!  If the number is even, he'll
walk forward after landing, so you may attempt a double-tap if you feel risky.  Overall,
be cautious, and congratulations on beating Sonic 2!
