what does it mean for a character to be "broken"
b1234 once said that snake was broken so this is why I'm posting this, and please stick with the subject this time, the last thing the brawl pages need is another argument!

Well, this is something that should be said as a question, not a forum.
Also, broken basically means cheap.
Like Mr. Game & Watch:
-Quick, Small, AND somewhat powerful for someone of his stature.
-Has two specials that can potentially work as a 1-hit KO.
-Has quick, spammy, lag-less smashes that last too long.
-Has a down grab that immediately ties into any of his smashes or starts up a chain grab.
-Most of his moves have high priority.
Generally, anything that acts cheaper than it should be.

then why didn't you say cheep? It's a lot more clear. and the magazine does have a lot of "spamming" strategies in it that work.

I don't know what magazine you're talking about, nor do I care, but broken is usually the term used when semi-/professinal players talk about characters being cheap.

Better as in less cheap? Or better as in more broken?

Snake isn't cheep, I get pwnd when I play as Snake, just cause someone uses him well doesn't mean he's cheep.

CRAP, THAT THING?! No. Nonononononononono. The Premier addition of the guidebook is crap. It's good for telling you the basics, like how to unlock characters or where to find _____ in the SSE. Beyond that, it's a lie. It says Kirby, Meatknoob, Olimar, Mr. Game & Watch, and Wario are pretty bad characters while it gives Captain Falcon a lot of attention. Wtf? That should be switched around. Falcon is only okay while the rest of those guys are either broken or really good. Rely on SmashWiki if you want better information. Spamming is never the answer. It's always BAD.
