Basically what the title says, this forum talks about anything that could be classified as an item. Talk about which items should stay, which should go, any new ideas, the like.
(I know there already has been a forum for each of these, but I made a 3-in-1, anything goes forum for this so we could talk about all of them yet still sticky the forum.)

My ideas for Assist Trophies:
Kumatora
Mother 3
PK Ground: 4% per hit. 6% on last hit. Each hit stuns. Last one has high knockback.
PK Brainshock: 20%. Makes all hit opponents dizzy. No knockback.
One of Lucas' friends. She's actually a bit masculine for most girls. Anyway, she can use PSI techniques just like Ness and Lucas. She has two methods of attacking. The first kind is sprinting towards your opponents to use PK Ground, which is a rapid attack that sends waves out on the ground to repeatedly hit and stun them. Her other attack is using PK Brainshock, which is very similar to Ness' PK Flash, only with a mixture of Red, Yellow, and Blue lights instead of green. Instead of high knock back, being hit by the Brainshock makes your opponents dizzy.
Skullkid
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
10% on contact. Knockback varies.
Upon being summoned, Skullkid, having Majora's Mask on his face, immediately starts to chant and make eriee screams. Seconds later, the Moon will slowly start to come down from the top of the screen until most of it's face is visible. This makes Star-KOs (KOs that go upwards) impossible during the time the Moon is on the screen. Getting hit and touching the Moon results in damage. Depending on how fast you touch the moon, the knockback will vary. If you jump up and recover to the moon, you won't get knocked back that far. If you get launched into the Moon by an Up-smash, however, the knockback will be just like the one you got when you were launched. After about 20 seconds, the Moon will leave the screen, and Skullkid will disappear.
*This last one is sort of a joke*
Peppy
Starfox 64
No damage. No knockback.
When you open the Assist Trophy, nothing comes out. Instead, seconds later, a message from Peppy will come up saying "Do a barrel roll!". This automatically makes everyone on the screen do a rolling dodge.
(I know I've made something just like this. I'm trying to keep the forums as organized as possible though, so please understand. Copy-pasta some of your ideas if you need to.)

I think the golden hammer should not return since it's practically the same as the regular hammer! And the smoke ball should not return since it just blocks the screen, not affecting CPU characters because noone's playing as them!

I agree.
The Golden Hammer is just a Hammer 2.0. We don't really need it. Even for an item, it's just too gimmicky.
And just like you say, the CPUs aren't even affected by the smoke ball since they're already inside the game , so they kind of know what's going on at all times, having the right programming and stuff. The Smoke ball doesn't do much besides make pretty colors, so I think it's gonna be booted.

Alright... well, I'll repost my 4 AT ideas:
1) Wallmaster (Legend of Zelda series). A severed, zombie hand that tends to be a never ending source of frustration to heroes of all kinds... after being summoned, it flies up off the screen. It will target a specific player (denoted by that player falling under a column of shadow) and fly back down, grabbing it's target, making a eerie "whooooooooooosh" sound in the process. If it grabs the player, it will attempt to pull him back off screen for a OHKO. However, the player can thrash enough to break free. If unsuccessful, it will wander about briefly before returning to the ceiling and trying again. During the transition time, it can be damaged and potentially KOed.
2) Kamek (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island; Yoshi's Story). A Magikoopa with a big mouth, slight nervous streak and a somewhat awkward man-crush on Yoshi (he calls Yoshi "cute" many times), this floating pain can create some awkward situations with more than just his dialogue. He'll appear on his broom, and run his mouth for a second before flying off screen. He'll then fly back on screen and drop rainbow colored dust along the stage. Said dust will take affect shortly thereafter, and will inflict random status effects on players (such as invisibility, invincibility, the effect of TWO mushrooms or Poison mushrooms, electrified [new], flame breathing... etc). 5% of the time, he'll appear without his broom, wave his wand, and fill the stage with 2 or 3 random AT characters.
3) Don Flamenco (Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!). A rather arrogant, thin Spaniard who looks a bit like Arsene Lupin and has a strange obsession with roses, cologne, and hair. He takes over Little Mac's place as the AT for Punch-Out!! series and has two different attack sets (50/50). He may come out and run around throwing some hooks and jabs at random characters, similar to Mac in Brawl... or he may come out and stand still. If he does that, he'll raise his gloves up and down and say "Venga! Venga!!" (Spanish for "Come on, Come on!") In that mode, anyone who goes near him will be promptly uppercut with a vendetta and a half. (Jab - 4%, Hook - 7%, Venga Uppercut - 30% with heavy knockback). If Mario or Luigi is the one to summon Don, he'll pop out of the trophy and say "I like your hair", otherwise he'll just say "Carmen, mi Amor!"
4) Prince Tricky (Starfox Adventures & Assault). Some mutant form of Triceratops that Fox makes an honorary member of the SFX team after Adventures. Appears here in his "Adventures" version (i.e., a kid), he'll come out and run after people, blowing flame continuously. He can be attacked, but doing so will cause him to turn on you. (1% damage per ember).

Those are actually some pretty great ideas. I like the Wallmaster idea the best out of the four. It brings interactivness with nostalgia to the Assist Trophies.
Don Flamenco, imo, doesn't seem like the best character to replace Little Mac as an Assist Trophy. I don't know who exactly, but Don Flamenco doesn't seem like the one. I think Von Kaiser would work better... I'm not positive...

Yeah... I was going to throw in Bald Bull since he has the most appearances in the Punch-Out!! series, but i couldn't think of anything more interesting than his Bull Charge. And Wallmaster is my favorite too, hence the top billing.

I think Wallmaster is a great idea, too, but can he, like, drop through the platforms? if so, he would be annoying, yet a challenge in the same way, and almost everyone loves a challenge, so i still think it's great

Caeda could probably work as character, seeing that she's in 3 games of the Fire Emblem series.

Also, when Joel and I searched up "Caeda Fire Emblem" on Google, it said "Did you mean Canada Fire Emblem?"

Yeah I know about the "Canada Fire Emblem". But once I searched up "Profiles of Peach from the Mario series" it said "Did you mean Profiles of Peace from the Mario series?" Also, when I searched up Caeda Fire Emblem it didn't do that Canada Fire Emblem, not that I want to contradict you.
