"my question to you people is why shouldnt a character with a lot of fighting potential get in the game? if they dont put in as many good (emphasis on good) characters then the game wont sell as well."
You reduce the number of characters to the original eight and its still going to sell well...

wow thats literally the worst argument ive ever heard because first of all people would just go back and play brawl and secondly itd sell alot better if it had 60 characters than if it had 8

I never said it wouldn't. I just said an upgraded version of the original 8 would still sell well simply because of the name of the game. Also, i should have said original 12.

Hey the more the better. I would love 80 characters, but it would make all star mode harder. And it would be hard to choose who I would want to be.

I personally think that around 50 characters would be enough... 80 characters would probably be the amount you'd find in SSB5... Holy sh*t, that's going way too far into the future. Stay with 50 guys. 3 characters in almost every real series is more than enough.

really? I thought wolf link is pretty suitible.
and his final smash could be that thing when the wierd circle on the ground appears and wolf link attacks everyone in the circle. (like when he does against the shadow beast in tp)

It's the exact same story as Werehog Sonic.
It's just your biggest hero turning into a wolf that has powers entirely unlike them... Wow. That apparently means everyone out there wants them to be a part of Smash Bros, even if it was just one game. Next thing you know, we're going to get a Wolf Mario and everyone will want him in Smash Bros. too. Retarded I say.
And besides, that would mean for Sonic/Link that one of their moves would need to be replaced. A lot of people wouldn't want that all because it COULD happen. No. It'd piss them off a lot.
Keep the freakin' elf the same.
Keep that annoying hedgehog the same.
Keep the wolves away from Smash Bros.

And Zero would still get in as an awesome Assist Trophy. Just sayin'.

ok first off were talking about wolf link as a seperate character and secondly does anyone and i mean anyone want sonic the werehog as a character that would be completely lame.
zero would be alot cooler as a character than as an assist trophy and he totally deserves it

I think Wolf Link should be a transformation for Link, you know, like down b or something...

But then there wouldn't be any bombs. Wolf Link was only in one game, he will be weird to play as and he will suck.

We don't need a Wolf Link at all. Only the Twilight Princess fanboys will want to put ANOTHER Link in a Smash Bros. game... At least Toon Link is a Link from a different era. Having a Wolf Link would be another Link from the exact same time period, just as a wolf.
So, as I said before, keep the wolves away from Smash Bros.
And everyone knows that Zero has fighting potential. Shadow did too at the time Sonic was announced for Brawl. Did that make him playable? No. Shadow was an Assist Trophy. Zero is the exact same story, being the badass, almost-rivalish character of our main blue hero. But as always, the hero needs to make it in, and the Badass follow up will be an Assist Trophy.
Now stfu about Zero being in the next Smash Bros. game as a playable character.

Lego Mario... WTF. That isn't even a character. It's just Mario in toy form. Let's add a pixelated Yoshi while we're at it!
Silver is one of the worst ideas for a sonic character out of them all. Silver isn't important at all. HE'S FAAAAAAAAANSERVICE. Besides, if you can't even come up with a moveset for him, why post the idea?
Either give Sonic a character like Tails or Knuckles, or nothing at all.

Yes. Exactly. If you're trying to say "uh well that means he should be playable then!", that wouldn't really work. It's pretty much a RULE for each new series character to enter Smash Bros. alone the first time around. Maybe their 2nd time in Smash might get them a buddy to fight with, but not the first time.
