You dont really catch tree folk. You run around the tree folk several times until they
disappear the the thicket that they cam out of will open up.

The previous answer is only partly correct. You actually do not catch Tree Folk, they are
used as a portal to either the tunnels or to the quarry. The creatures that you run
around are Stray Sod, they will lower the brush plus you get a gobstone.
