Basics ============================================== How to play the game. ---------------------------------------------- 4.1 Screen Layout ---------------------------------------------- At the top-right corner of the screen is the time you have left to complete the mission you are in. You will get additional time in a few missions as you go through them. At the bottom-right corner of the screen you will see Drake's two hands and guns. The numbers next to each gun represent the amount of ammo in them. When a gun runs out of ammo, Drake drops it on the ground and pulls of a new one with full ammo. You have unlimited guns at your disposal once you've obtained that type in the mission. You start each mission with only the Semi-Automatic Pistol. About the guns is where you'll see which weapons you can use after selecting to scroll through them. At the bottom-left corner of the screen is the Soul Power Meter and Drake's health. The green in the meter is power you can use to slow down and stop time. It is also required to detonate souls. It drains steadily when slowing down time or detonating souls. It drains a set amount when you freeze time. Some power will be restored when Drake consumes a soul. Drake's health decreases when he is hurt. The maximum amount of health drake can normally have is 99. If Drake's health reaches 0, he will be sent to the Serene Garden. If Drake consumes enough souls his health will go over 100 and slowly drain back to 99. ---------------------------------------------- 4.2 Souls ---------------------------------------------- Starting at mission four, Drake can see and eat his enemies' souls. There are three types of souls with different effects when consumed. Green Souls- Drake gets these from defeating his enemies. They slowly float up until they disappear. You can make them float to Drake by holding the White Button. You must be holding the White Button when an enemy is defeated or when the soul is generated for this to work. Greens souls give Drake 10 points of health and refills some of the Soul Power Meter. Red Souls (lost souls)- Drake should avoid these. They automatically home in on Drake, but can be avoided. They take away 5 points of health from Drake. These usually only appear when Drake or enemies shoot certain objects. Blue Souls- These are only part of mission objectives. They don't do anything special (aside from healing 10 points of health) and only need to be collected. ---------------------------------------------- 4.3 Random Information ---------------------------------------------- Starting Mission 5, whenever Drake dies he will go to the Serene Garden. From there a ten second countdown will start. The Stone gods will taunt Drake until the timer hits zero, and Drake will than get to try the current mission again. After jumping, Drake can run up walls for a short time. He can also jump while running on a wall and start running on another wall (He can do this up to 3 times). When Drake slows down time, he, his enemies, and environmental objects slow down. When Drake freezes time, everything remains practically still. Drake automatically aims his guns at his nearest enemy (or enemies). This auto-targeting system works well against small amounts of foes, but when there are many enemies around Drake, it can be problematic. The auto-targeting won't target far away enemies. Between every mission is a cutscene that advances the story. I recommend that you watch these, but they can be skipped. After a certain point of the game, Drake can release the Undying Dragon from the tattoo on his chest. This can only be done when Drake's health is above 100. The Undying Dragon does MASSIVE damage to whatever is in front of it, including enemies and objects. After completing a mission, you will be asked if you would like to save. I recommend saving whenever possible. All supernatural abilities Drake possesses are earned by completing missions. To get new weapons, run to the bubbles enemies drop when defeated. You can tell what weapons are in these bubbles just by looking. Sometimes these are already in the mission. In some missions, Drake must collect keycards to open locked doors. Keycards are shown next to Drake's health/soul power. There are three types of keycards- red, green, and blue. If a mission objective requires Drake to collect a certain amount of souls, a counter in the top-left corner of the screen will show how many souls Drake has collected. You can destroy many objects you see. Objects that explode when shot will damage enemies and drake. Because the game lacks a reload button, the only way to reload a gun is to run out of ammo and have Drake pull out a new one. If you are low on ammo and are about to enter a fight, fire off a few shots to reload the guns you are using. You don't want to have to reload in combat, unless you plan on visiting the Serene Garden. Finally, and trust me on this, NEVER detonate souls. It is a waste of health and soul power, and it almost never kills other enemies. ============================================== 5. Weapons ============================================== Here are the weapons Drake will get to use throughout the game. ********************* Semi-Automatic Pistol ********************* Max Ammo: 17 Rarity: Drake always has these Power: Good Firing Rate: Great My Opinion: A good weapon, but I prefer the constant fire of the machine guns or the power of other weapons over this. ******** Revolver ******** Max Ammo: 6 Rarity: Somewhat rare Power: Great Firing Rate: Decent My Opinion: Not a good weapon. The default weapon bests this, so there really isn't any use for this. *********** Machine Gun *********** Max Ammo: 32 Rarity: Common Power: Bad Firing Rate: Automatic (Excellent) My Opinion: A good weapon. Use it unless you have access to the Sub-Machine Gun or the Force Gun. *************** Sub-Machine Gun *************** Max Ammo: 32 Rarity: Rare Power: Decent Firing Rate: Automatic (Excellent) My Opinion: A great weapon, but it's rare. *********************** Double-Barreled Shotgun *********************** Max Ammo: 2 Rarity: Rare Power: Excellent (only at close range) Firing Rate: Good My Opinion: Only use this at close range. At far range, it's accuracy and power are terrible. At close range, this gun will kill even bosses with few shots. ********* Force Gun ********* Max Ammo: 23 Rarity: Somewhat rare Power: Excellent Firing Rate: Good My Opinion: The best weapon in the game. Use is whenever you can. ************************ Bouncing Grenade Launcher ************************ Max Ammo: Infinite Ammo Rarity: Very Rare Power: Excellent (can hurt Drake) Firing Rate: Bad My Opinion: Trust me, this is the worst weapon in the game. Drake will often kill himself by using this. If you still want to use this weapon, note that grenades bounce off walls and take 3 seconds to explode. Drake will take heavy damage if a grenade explosion hits him. ******************** Soul Portal Artifact ******************** My Opinion: Not a weapon, but since it appears in the weapons screen I'm listing it here. Look at Mission 24 to see how to use this. ============================================== 6. Walkthrough ============================================== How to beat the game. I will also list any enemies and hazards you will see in each mission. Here is how to use this guide: Name: Mission name before Drake dies Goal: The goal of the mission Hints: Hints the game gives for completing missions. Walkthrough: The walkthrough for the mission. Note that you are free to switch weapons at any time unless otherwise told by the walkthrough. I will NOT be listed which enemies drop which weapons, as it is usually evident through which attacks they use. Some weapons can even be found within the levels, but with the exception of small missions I won't list their location as I would have to go out of the way in the middle of a walkthrough to list the location, and the weapons almost never make a difference because the Semi-Automatic Pistols will usually do the trick. ---------------------------------------------- 6.1 Mission 1 ---------------------------------------------- Name: Introducing a Killer Goal: Follow the instructions as they appear on screen to complete the tutorial mission. Enemies: None Hazards: None Mission Difficulty: 0/10 NOTE: You will not play this mission if you select new game without tutorial. Walkthrough: Since this is the first mission in the game, there is just about no way you can lose. This mission is just used to teach the basics of the game. You will first see a message: Welcome you to the Kwoon of a 99 Dragons This is an automatic message that doesn't require pressing the A button to close it. You then get another message: Use the controls to move Drake in the Kwoon. (Press "Jump" to start) Continue and you will get this message: Go over to the pair of revolvers and pick them up. There is an arrow pointing to the Revolvers. After you do that you will get another message: You now have a pair of revolvers in your inventory and a pair of pistols in your hands. Cycle the inventory and select a revolver. Press left or right "fire" to equip it in that hand. Try it out! Equip the Revolvers (or not, it doesn't matter), and you will get another message: When you find a gun, you'll have an unlimited number of that type of gun available. So, when a gun runs out of ammo you'll drop that gun and equip a new one. Soon after you will get another message: Stand next to the button on the wall illuminated in green. Shoot the 4 targets that appear along the opposite wall. Stand next to the button on the wall illuminated in green. After you do that, four targets will appear. After they appear you get this message: Shoot out all targets! Shoot them all of the targets until they turn black (the auto-targeting will lock on to them). You will get another message afterwards: Well Done! You have the ability to jump unnaturally high. First jump and than jump again while airborne to increase the height of the jump. Try it out! You will get a message after that one: Collect the 5 glowing orbs above you. Try double jumping in different direction by using the Left-, right-, forward- and backward controls. Double jump to collect the orbs. After you do that, you will get another message: Well done! Stand next to the button on the wall illuminated in green. The interactive training pillars will soon activate. Avoid the infrared beams. Collect 4 banners to succeed this mission. If you get hit 4 times you have to restart... Stand near the button on the wall which will be illuminated in green again. This will activate infrared beams. Avoid the beams by jumping (and not jumping) and collect the four banners that are located in the corners of the room. If you are hit four times by infrared beams, you will have to try again (just the banner collecting, nothing else). After you do this you will get another message: Well done! Prepare to engage a Tang Cyborg training partner! After this message you will complete the mission. ---------------------------------------------- 6.2 Mission 2 ---------------------------------------------- Name: Honing your skills Goal: Defeat the Tang Industries cyborg. Bosses: Tang Cyborg Hazards: None Mission Difficulty: 1/10 ********************* BOSS: Tang Cyborg Strength: High Health: High Speed: Medium Attacks: Punches Strategy: Just stay away from it and it won't hurt you. Difficulty: 2/10 ********************* NOTE: You will not play this mission if you select new game without tutorial. NOTE: The Tang Cyborg in this mission has roughly double the health of normal Tang Cyborgs, along with double the attack power. Walkthrough: This mission is far too easy. Just run around keeping a small distance away from the cyborg and shoot. This mission will be over in no time at all. ---------------------------------------------- 6.3 Mission 3 ---------------------------------------------- Name: Chasing ghosts Goal: Don't lose track of the Ghost Assassin! Hit the checkpoints before the time's up. Hints: Try to keep up with the Ghost Assassin or risk getting lost, losing valuable time. Enemies: Ghost Assassin Robots, Ghost Assassin Hazards: None Mission Difficulty: 2/10 NOTE: This is where you will start if you selected New game (No Tutorial) ********************* ENEMY: Ghost Assassin Robot Strength: High Health: Very Low Speed: Medium Weapon Dropped: Sub-Machine Gun Attacks: Punches, Sub-Machine Gun fire Strategy: Stay a distance away from it to avoid it's punches. Kill it quickly to avoid the powerful and quick shots from it's Sub-Machine Gun. Difficulty: 2/10 ENEMY: Ghost Assassin (1) Strength: None Health: Invincible Speed: High Attacks: None Strategy: It won't attack you and you can't hurt it. Difficulty: 0/10 ********************* Walkthrough: The first real mission of the game. From the start, head through the doors, and once they open start shooting to take down two Ghost Assassin Robots or risk major damage. You will get a time boost when you go through the doors. Head left through more doors while shooting to take down a Ghost Assassin Robot and earn more time. Head forward through more doors and you'll get another time boost. Move along on the ledge until the Ghost Assassin knocks over some bookcases. Some doors ahead will reveal two Ghost Assassin Robots, so shoot them. Jump over to the ledge to your right, careful not to fall. Go through the door and you'll get another time boost. A Ghost Assassin Robot will fall from the ceiling. Shoot it and move on forward. Go through the door for another time boost and head right, than left (not down the stairs), shoot the Ghost Assassin Robot who comes out from behind the door and left and up the stairs. Shoot the Ghost Assassin Robot when you get to the top. Proceed until you reach the door. After you go through it and another that follows immediately after, turn the camera to the left and shoot two Ghost Assassin Robots that come out from behind another door. Head right (not down the stairs) twice (you'll get a time boost) and go through the door while shooting to kill two Ghost Assassin Robots. Look up the left set of stairs and kill the Ghost Assassin Robot there. Go up either set of stairs, through the door, and approach the Ghost Assassin to complete the mission. ---------------------------------------------- 6.4 Mission 4 ---------------------------------------------- Name: Death in person Goal: Claim 30 souls for the Undying Dragon. Hints: Claim the soul of a slain enemy before it fades. You may have to run up walls and/or "double jump" to reach some of the souls. Enemies: Ghost Assassin Robots Hazards: None Mission Difficulty: 1/10 Walkthrough: NOTES: You do not have to follow this walkthrough exactly to finish this mission. There are many souls in this mission. This is only the quickest way I got through the mission. A short while after starting the mission you will get this message: You now have the supernatural ability to run on walls. To run on a wall, jump up on it from a distance. After that message, run into the doors behind you quickly and get out fast (there are two Ghost Assassin Robots there and it isn't easy to fight them both at once). Two Ghost Assassin Robots will soon run out, so kill them as they appear and collect there souls. Go back into the room and collect the five souls inside (some souls require you to double jump or run up walls to get them), making your soul count 7. While collecting souls in the room, a message will appear. You now obey supernatural laws of time, and have the ability to go into slow- and freeze motion When your soul power meter is charged. Charge the meter by collecting souls! Run out of the room and collect the soul in the hallway. Make a left into the white door (the black doors in this stage cannot be entered). Collect the two souls in the hallway and head through the door. Make a left, collect the soul over the pit (try not to fall down there) and continue through the white door closest to the soul you just collected. In the next room, collect the soul in the air and fall down. Climb up the stairs and collect the two souls you see. Go back to where you fell and wall-run back up. Go through the door you saw when you entered the hallway for the first time and enter the area with blue carpeting. Go right and stop near the top of the set of stairs you will see (the ones going downwards). Double jump to the soul and go into a door near the stairs that will take you up. Go forward, Kill a Ghost Assassin Robot to the left, collect the soul it leaves, and enter the door to the left. Collect the four souls in here, bringing you soul count to 20. Enter the left door that is furthest through the hallway. Run down the hallway and enter the door. Kill the Ghost Assassin Robot quickly and collect it's soul and the soul above it. Jump through a window (it will break automatically) and quickly kill the two Ghost Assassin Robots inside and collect their souls, raising your soul count to 24. Go back through the window and through the door you didn't come from. Go down the hallway and approach either of the two doors on the sides of the bottom level of this room. A Ghost Assassin Robot will emerge. Kill it and collect it's soul. Approach the other door and collect the soul from that Ghost Assassin Robot as well. Wall-run up onto the walkway above you and enter the door that leads into the room with the blue carpeting. Make one right and two lefts (not down the stairs) and collect the floating soul. Run up the stairs and run up the wall to another soul. Continue left three times and go through two doors. Stand on the top of the second set of stairs and jump into the small area containing two souls. Collect the souls to end the mission. ---------------------------------------------- 6.5 Mission 5 ---------------------------------------------- Name: Dead, but full of life Goal: Trail the Courier and Artifact. Hit the Checkpoints before the time's up. Hints: Shoot the Courier and track the trace of blood. Try to keep up with the Courier or risk getting lost, losing valuable time. Enemies: Courier, Ghost Assassin Robots Hazards: Buses, Cars, Exploding Crates, Canopies Mission Difficulty: 2/10 ********************* ENEMY: Courier Strength: Very Low Health: Invincible Speed: Very High Attacks: Machine Gun fire Strategy: The Courier will attempt to run away from you. Follow him to get through the mission. The Courier is much faster than Drake, so this will be difficult. Shoot the Courier to make a trail of blood that you can follow. The courier will often wildly shoot around with his Machine Guns, but your risk of actually getting hit is pretty low. Due to glitches in the game, the Courier will often get stuck in objects, doorways, or walls. The mission you are in can be completed even if this happens. Difficulty: 1/10 ENEMY: Civilian Strength: None Health: Very Low Speed: Immobile Attacks: None Strategy: Civilians are perfectly harmless and won't hurt you. You can kill them, however. Difficulty: 0/10 HAZARD: Cars (When moving) Info: Try to avoid getting hit by moving cars. Anything they hit will be heavily damaged. If shot enough, they will explode. When they explode, anything nearby will be heavily damaged. Cars will stop for other stopped cars or cars that are destroyed. HAZARD: Cars (When not moving) Info: If shot enough, cars will explode. When they explode, anything nearby will be heavily damaged. HAZARD: Buses (When moving) Info: Buses pull out of alleys quickly. Anything they hit will be heavily damaged. HAZARD: Exploding Boxes Info: Some boxes in the game will explode when shot. When they explode, anything nearby will be heavily damaged. HAZARD: Canopy Info: You can stand on canopies, but they will collapse in a few seconds. ********************* Walkthrough: From the start, head a little forward and kill the Ghost Assassin Robot behind the red bus. Wait where the Ghost Assassin Robot you just killed was and car will drive in quickly, and two Ghost Assassin Robots will come out from it. Kill them and move forward until you spot an alley to the right. Kill the Ghost Assassin Robot inside and move to the left wall by the food stands and kill the Ghost Assassin Robot nearby. Keep walking along the wall and a bus will pull out of the alley. If you are standing near the wall, you won't get hurt by this. After the bus pulls out, move to the wall on the opposite side of the street. Walk along it and another bus will pull out. After it does, go where it used to be and kill the Ghost Assassin Robot there. Now head towards the Courier who is more likely than not shooting at you. Shoot and chase after him. When you reach the stairs, you will receive a time boost. Go up the stairs, up the stairs to the left, make a right and enter the left door. After you get a time boost, run up the stairs (being careful not to fall off) while shooting the Courier. Enter the first door you reach (it will have a 1 above it) for a time boost. Continue through the room and go through the first door you see. Run forward through the walkway (you can kill the Ghost Assassin Robot on the roof of the door you just exited if you want to) and through the door for another time boost. Keep going forward and make a left and than a right into the door. Shoot the Courier who is waiting for you and run up the stairs and through the door for a time boost. Make your way towards the right side of the balcony and jump on the set of black wires slightly ahead and then onto the canopy nearby. Let it collapse under you. You will fall onto another canopy. After that canopy collapses, you will fall onto another canopy. Stay as close to the wall as possible when you land on it. After that canopy, you will land on the sidewalk (or if you were on the edge of the canopy, the road were Drake will get killed quickly). Run along the sidewalk and make a left down an alley, up some stairs, and through a door. After going through the door, go up the staircase and go through the first door you reach. Go through either of the two doors you will see for a time boost, but stop after you enter the room. Some crates will explode, destroying the floor. You will need to run along a wall, jumping from time to time to the opposite wall and back to the original wall the until you reach solid ground. After you get across the giant hole, run down the stairs and through the door. Run down the alley, make a slight left and a right up another set of stairs to finish the mission. NOTE: If the Courier ever gets stuck in an object or wall, you can still complete this mission following the walkthrough normally. ---------------------------------------------- 6.6 Mission 6 ---------------------------------------------- Name: Firing it up Goal: Trail the Courier and Artifact. Hit the Checkpoints before the time's up. Hints: Beware of the explosive environment! Try to keep up with the Courier or risk getting lost, losing valuable time. Enemies: Courier, Firework Factory Employee (FFE), Ceiling Firework Factory Employee (CFFE) Hazards: Exploding Crates, Fireworks, Electrical Wires Mission Difficulty: 3/10 ********************* ENEMY: Firework Factory Employee Strength: Medium Health: Low Speed: Low Weapon Dropped: Machine Gun Attacks: Machine Gun fire Strategy: The Firework Factory Employee basically just shoots at you. Due to a glitch in the game, they will sometimes keep moving/shooting even after they are killed before they disappear and their souls are made available to collect. Difficulty: 3/10 ENEMY: Ceiling Firework Factory Employee (CFFE) Strength: Medium Health: Low Speed: Immobile Attacks: Machine Gun fire Strategy: The Ceiling Firework Factory Employee pops out of a door from the ceiling and shoots at you. They can only aim horizontally, not vertically. Difficulty: 1/10 HAZARD: Fireworks Info: These are either pre-set off or are activated by Drake (or an enemy) shooting them. If they explode near or on someone or something, whatever is hit will take minor damage. There are fireworks that launch strait up into the air and back down and fireworks that travel strait through the air. HAZARD: Electrical Wires Info: Only activated after Drake or an enemy shoot electricity outlets. Electrical cords inside will come out and swing around wildly, severely damaging anything they contact. ********************* Walkthrough: From the start of the mission, just stand and shoot. Your auto-targeting will take care of two Firework Factory Employees. If you go forward first, you will quickly perish due to exploding crates. After any explosions and killing the two Firework Factory Employees, move forward, collect their souls, and go through the door. Go forward and a bunch of crates (metal and explosive) will burst out into the hallway. Shoot the Courier who is running away. Also kill the Firework Factory Employee in the little room you can't access. Continue through the hallway and kill the Ceiling Firework Factory Employee who pops out above you (don't try to collect the soul he releases) and go through the door. As soon as you go through the door, kill a Firework Factory Employee to your left and collect his soul. Head right onto a metal walkway connecting the two sides of the room and walk across it. Kill the two Firework Factory Employees here and collect their souls. Look into the center of the room. Once one of the wooden platforms starts to go up, jump onto it. When it goes up one floor from where you previously were, jump onto the side of the room with a giant 1 next to a door. Kill the Firework Factory Employee to your left and go through the door (some crates will burst out when you get inside). Once inside, go up the walkway, make a left, make a right, kill the Ceiling Firework Factory Employee and collect his soul, and go through the door. Once you go through the door, kill the Firework Factory Employee to your right, and collect his soul. Kill the Firework Factory Employee on the metal walkway and the one on the floor behind him and collect their souls. Jump onto a wooden platform once it comes up, and ride it down one floor. Jump onto the floor with the door on it and kill the Firework Factory Employee and collect his soul. Run through the door and kill the two Firework Factory Employees on the ground and collect their souls. After doing that, kill the Firework Factory Employee on the metal walkway above and wait for a few seconds. There will be an explosion. When this happens, the mission will be completed. ---------------------------------------------- 6.7 Mission 7 ---------------------------------------------- Name: The wake up call Goal: Trail the Courier and the Artifact. Dispose of anyone that stands in your way and claim their souls for the Undying Dragon. Hints: Beware of the lost souls as they'll hurt you! Bosses: Pok Enemies: Courier, Gunman, Civilian, Jetpack Gunman, Dragon Beast Hazards: Exploding Drink Vases, Red Soul Containers (Red Souls), Glass Mission Difficulty: 6/10 ********************* BOSS: Pok Strength: High Health: High Speed: High Attacks: Dual Machine Gun fire Strategy: Pok, the first boss of the game, should sort of be handled like a Gunman. He drains your health fast with his two Machine guns which he never stops firing. Just keep shooting him and hopefully you will kill him. Difficulty: 8/10 ENEMY: Gunman Strength: High Health: Low Speed: Medium Weapon Dropped: Machine Gun Attacks: Machine Gun fire Strategy: Just like the Firework Factory Employee, but a little faster and shoots more often. Difficulty: 4/10 ENEMY: Jetpack Gunman Strength: High Health: Low Speed: Fast Attacks: Machine Gun fire Strategy: Just like the Gunman, but flies in the air in a jetpack. Difficulty: 5/10 ENEMY: Dragon Beast Strength: Extremely High Health: Low Speed: High Attacks: Pounce Strategy: For an unarmed enemy, these things are very dangerous. Kill them from a distance. Difficulty: 8/10 HAZARD: Exploding Drink Vase Info: Drink Vases, which Civilians drink from that explode when shot, causing massive damage to whatever is nearby. HAZARD: Red Soul Containers Info: Red Soul Containers are red tubes that, when shot, release red souls. See the Basics section for info on Red Souls. After being shot, Red Soul Containers will become covered with metal (when shot while covered with metal, Red Soul Containers won't release Red Souls) for a short while. Hazard: Glass Info: When shot, whether by Drake or an enemy, glass will break. ********************* Walkthrough: Shortly after starting the stage, you will receive a message: You now have the supernatural ability to motivate souls to pull towards you when you slay a foe. Go through the door between the two potted plants. Kill all of the enemies in here (there are simply too many enemies in this small room to list precise locations, but the enemies in here are just Civilians and Gunmen) until the room is quiet (some enemies are on the floor above you). Once the room is quiet, go to the area of the room where there are arrows pointing up a wall. Shoot the glass above the wall with the arrows and run up the wall and through the door. Run up the walkway and then up either of the two walkways after the first walkway, and finally up a third walkway. Stop going up before you reach the floor of glass and kill the two jetpack gunman and draw in their souls. Quickly walk onto and than off of the glass. When shots are fired and some glass is broken, fall into the room and kill all of the Gunmen there and collect their souls. Go to the area of the room with lots of bottles and jump onto the circular metal platform with the arrows pointing to it. Ride it up to a new room. Once it stops, go after the Courier who is standing near a door. Go after him and he will run through the door, closing it behind him. When this happens, three Dragon Beasts and Pok, the first boss of the game, will jump down from platforms above you. Quickly kill the Dragon Beasts and draw in their souls. To defeat Pok, stand away from him (His dual Machine Guns really hurt your health), keep moving and shoot him, all while trying not to shoot the Red Soul Containers (If you do shoot them, DO NOT get hit by a Red Soul. Not only will you get damaged from that, but Pok will also get free shots at you). After you kill him, the mission will end. ---------------------------------------------- 6.8 Mission 8 ---------------------------------------------- Name: Floating death Goal: Make it to the Courier before Tung beats him to death. Hints: Some Casino thugs carry digital keycards. Bosses: Tung Enemies: Tied Up Courier, Casino Thugs, Tough Casino Thugs, Swordladies, Gunlady, Machine Gun Bikers, Shotgun Bikers Hazards: Water, Cars, Exploding Barrels, Oil Spills, Motorcycles Items: Digital Keycards Mission Difficulty: 4/10 ********************* BOSS: Tung Strength: Medium Health: High Speed: Medium Attacks: Punches, Body slams Strategy: Tung is a very easy boss. Because he doesn't use guns, all you must do to kill him is shoot him from a small distance. Difficulty: 2/10 ENEMY: Tied Up Courier Strength: None Health: Invincible Speed: Immobile Attacks: Wiggle Strategy: Can't do anything as he's been tied up by Tung. Difficulty: 0/10 ENEMY: Casino Thug Strength: High Health: Low Speed: Immobile Attacks: Heavy gunfire Strategy: Like the Gunman, except he can't move and is even more powerful. Difficulty: 5/10 ENEMY: Tough Casino Thug Strength: Very High Health: Medium Speed: Immobile Attacks: Heavy gunfire Strategy: Like the Casino Thug, but wears black clothes. Do to a glitch in the game, they rarely shoot, making them mostly harmless. When they do shoot, they are incredibly dangerous and should be avoided or shot from a long distance. Difficulty: 5/10 (Would be a 9, reduced to 5 due to a glitch) ENEMY: Swordlady Strength: Low Health: Medium Speed: Medium Attacks: Sword slash Strategy: Can only attack up close, so should be shot from a small distance. Difficulty: 2/10 ENEMY: Gunlady Strength: High Health: Low Speed: Medium Weapon Dropped: Machine Gun Attacks: Machine Gun Fire Strategy: Pretty much a female version of the Gunman, so treat her as such. Difficulty: 5/10 ENEMY: Machine Gun Biker Strength: High Health: Low Speed: Medium Weapon Dropped: Machine Gun Attacks: Machine Gun fire Strategy: Yet another Gunman-like enemy. Deal with the Machine Gun Biker as you would a Gunman. Difficulty: 5/10 ENEMY: Shotgun Biker Strength: Extremely High Health: Low Speed: Medium Weapon Dropped: Shotgun Attacks: Shotgun fire Strategy: Has a shotgun, which severely damages Drake. Always kill the Shotgun Biker from a distance if at all possible. Difficulty: 7/10 HAZARD: Water Info: Fall into water and Drake will lose 10 points of health before being respawned. HAZARD: Exploding Barrels Info: Like Exploding Crates, except they can take more damage before they explode. HAZARD: Oil Spills Info: They are not dangerous normally. If shot, they burst into flames, and the flames damage anything they touch. HAZARD: Motorcycles Info: Just like cars. When shot enough, they will explode. They don't move. ITEM: Digital Keycards Info: They come in three colors: Red, Blue, and Green. Run into them to pick them up. They are needed to open certain doors. ********************* Walkthrough: You start out in front of a small shed. Go left from there towards the huge building. Kill the Casino Thug on the walkway ahead of you and draw in his soul. Continue to the right and kill the Shotgun Biker and the Machine Gun Biker from a distance and collect their souls. Go to where they were (near the motorcycles). Look up and kill the Casino Thug above you and draw in his soul. Go across the bridge nearby and make a left. Continue forward as far as you can and make a right. Go forward a little and kill the Casino Thug to your left and collect his soul. Continue forward until you can go no farther and make a right. Continue forward and enter the door you will eventually see to your right. After going into that door, go into the door to the right. Continue forward and go through the door to your left. Make a left and than a right and go into the second door in the hallway to your right (You can go into the first door to your right and kill a Tough Casino Thug if you need health. Run out quickly if he starts shooting). Once inside, kill the two Casino thugs, collect their souls, collect the Green Digital Keycard, and exit the room THE WAY YOU CAME IN (Going into the other room practically means instant death due to the crazy number of enemies in there). Two lefts and a right into the door. Go up the two sets of stairs, killing the Swordlady and collecting her soul in the process. Enter the door at the top of the stairs (Green Digital Keycard required). Go right and kill the Swordlady who is running towards you to the left and collect her soul. Go down the hallway and enter the door to the right (the music will change). In this room, draw in every soul. Run up the stairs and kill the Casino Thug and Gunlady to your right. Now kill the two Casino Thugs to your left and continue through the room. Kill all of the Casino Thugs and Tough Casino Thugs you encounter. Collect the Blue Digital Keycard by the doors at the end of the room (They can't be opened). Exit the room. After exiting the room, make a right and than a left and go through the door (Blue Digital Keycard required). Once again, draw in every soul. Kill everyone (a few Casino Thugs and a Swordlady). Look around for the Red Digital Keycard. Once you find it, exit the room. Make a right, run forward until you can go no farther, make a right, and go through the door. Make a right and go down the two sets of stairs. Exit the room through the door farther from the start of the first set of stairs (the one that leads you to the room with grey wallpaper, not red). Go through the door strait ahead of you (Red Digital Keycard required). Go down the stairs and through the door. Go forward and make a right. Go forward and kill the Casino Thug as soon as you can and draw in his soul. As soon as you reach the end of the hall, make a right. Go forward and kill the Casino Thug as soon as you can and draw in his soul. Once you reach the end of the hall, make a left. Go forward until you reach the end of the hall. Make a left and go through the hole in the wall. Kill the Casino Thug to your right and collect his soul. Go forward and to the left. Kill the Casino Thug to your left and collect his soul. Go through the door to encounter Tung and the Tied Up Courier. Lure Tung out of the room and shoot him from a short distance away until he dies. Once Tung dies, the mission will end. ---------------------------------------------- 6.9 Mission 9 ---------------------------------------------- Name: Death on Wheels Goal: Defeat the bikers protecting the House of the Dreaming Cloud. Hints: Shoot the fuel barrels and they'll explode. Enemies: Machine Gun Bikers, Shotgun Bikers, Biker Pairs, Biker Car Hazards: Exploding Barrels, Wrecking Ball, Motorcycles, Trucks, Crates, Cars Mission Difficulty: 4/10 ********************* ENEMY: Biker Pair Strength: Medium Health: Medium Speed: Very High Attacks: Running into you, Machine Gun fire Strategy: This enemy on a motorcycle is actually two Machine Gun Bikers in one (meaning you get 2 souls for killing them). Just think of them as fast gunmen which Drake shouldn't touch (touching them, even from behind, will damage you). Difficulty: 6/10 ENEMY: Biker Car Strength: High Health: High Speed: Very High Attacks: Running into you, Machine Gun fire Strategy: Basically a car with Machine Gun Bikers hanging out windows that shoot at you. Doesn't release a soul when defeated. Kill it from a distance. The Machine Gun shots from the Bikers are very inaccurate. The real danger of fighting it is getting hit by the car itself. Difficulty: 3/10 HAZARD: Wrecking Ball Info: At one point of the mission it will knock down a gate for you. If you get hit by it, Drake will take 40 points of damage. HAZARD: Trucks Info: Another car like object, except it is a lot bigger and can't be destroyed. HAZARD: Crates Info: Crates that don't explode but are simply destroyed when shot. ********************* Walkthrough: Start by going to your right. A truck will pull out and open its back door, revealing two Machine Gun Bikers and a Shotgun Biker. Kill them all and collect their souls. From where the truck is, head left and go to the big gate. Keep the gate open until a Biker Pair comes through. Kill them and collect their souls. Go through the gate and kill the Shotgun Biker on the small building to your right (you will have to jump to do this) and draw in his soul. Kill the two Biker Pairs riding around and collect the four souls they release. Kill the Shotgun Biker shooting at you from a wooden platform and draw in his soul. Continue forward and some crates will fly out (non-explosive crates, don't worry). Destroy them all and go towards the gate. Quickly touch it and RUN in the opposite direction fast. A wrecking ball will smash the gate open. Go through the gate and a Biker car will pull out and ride around in circles. Run left to the left towards a thin platform with explosive crates and two Shotgun Bikers. Kill the Shotgun Bikers and collect their souls. From the platform, shoot the Biker Car until it explodes. Go through the mechanical door ahead from where you entered. Kill the Machine Gun Biker inside and collect his soul. Go though another mechanical door and go forward until the truck pulls away. Four Biker Pairs will come riding down the alley, so kill them all and collect their eight souls. Go left (stay towards the right side of the road) A Biker Pair will burst out from some crates on a wooden platform, so kill them and collect their souls. Go forward until you see a truck with an open back door. Get into the back of the truck quickly. A truck will come down the road fast and break open a previously closed gate. Go through the gate (it is on your right after exiting the truck) and kill the two Shotgun Bikers on the small platform ahead of you and collect their souls. Go right from there and kill another Shotgun Biker and collect his soul. Kill the Biker pair to your right and collect their souls. Go to the right from the platform toward a closed gate to complete the mission. ---------------------------------------------- 6.10 Mission 10 ---------------------------------------------- Name: The last laugh Goal: Defeat Ossu to pursue Serpent-Eye and Pok at the House of the Dreaming Cloud. Hints: The swirling chains will create an impassable shield that'll stop your bullets. Make use of the environment to beat Ossu. Bosses: Ossu Enemies: Machine Gun Bikers, Shotgun Biker s Hazards: Exploding Barrels, Oil Spills, Oil Containers Mission Difficulty: 8/10 ********************* BOSS: Ossu Strength: Low Health: Medium Speed: Medium Attacks: Chain attack, Chain shield Strategy: Ossu will use a weak, close-range chain attack. The only thing difficult about him is that he is usually invincible. To make him vulnerable, simply have him walk under the gas station roof. His chain will get stuck, making him immobile and vulnerable for a short amount of time. You'll probably be able to kill him quickly, unless enemies attract the auto-targeting. Difficulty: 5/10 HAZARD: Oil Containers Info: If you shoot an oil container, an oil spill will be created nearby. ********************* Walkthrough: Ossu is usually invincible (his spinning chain protects him. To beat him, all you have to do is lure Ossu under the gas station roof, wait until his chain gets stuck, and shoot away until he dies. You will have to repeat that process a few more times, though. Once Ossu is dead, the mission is over. Keep in mind that there are many enemies around the area (too many to list), and some are even on top of the gas station roof. Kill any enemies that come close to you and collect their souls, but generally you won't want to approach them unless you are DESPERATE for health. /////////////////// ALTERNATE STRATEGY /////////////////// If you want to get the mission over quickly but at a greater risk of being killed, you can follow this strategy. Simply kill one of the many Shotgun Bikers around the mission, collect a Double-Barreled Shotgun, equip two Double-Barreled Shotguns, and kill Ossu as normal. ---------------------------------------------- 6.11 Mission 11 ---------------------------------------------- Name: Clash of two clans Goal: Locate Serpent-Eye, Pok, and the Artifact. Dispose of anyone that stands in your way and claim their souls for the Undying Dragon. Bosses: Mutated Pok Enemies: Casino Thugs, Serpent-Eye, Revolver Gunmen, Dragon Beasts, Hiding Casino Thugs Hazards: Exploding Drink Vases, Odd Machines, Explosions Mission Difficulty: 7/10 ********************* BOSS: Mutated Pok Strength: High Health: Medium Speed: Immobile Attacks: Electrical field, Electrical strike Strategy: Pok is actually easier than he was last time. He will stand up on a high walkway, and if you approach him you get zapped by electricity and die instantly. Pok will have an infrared beam coming out of him which will move around slowly. If you make contact with it, you will be zapped by electricity for about 25 points of damage. He is usually invincible. To beat him, you must destroy all of the Odd Machines on the walls of both sides of the room. After you do that, stand up on any of the room's platforms and shoot him a few times. Difficulty: 5/10 ENEMY: Serpent-Eye Strength: None Health: Invincible Speed: Medium Attacks: None Strategy: All that Serpent-Eye will do is run away from you. Ignore him. Difficulty: 0/10 ENEMY: Revolver Gunman Strength: High Health: Low Speed: Medium Weapon Dropped: Revolver Attacks: Revolver fire Strategy: A Gunman that uses a Revolver instead of a Machine Gun. Difficulty: 3/10 ENEMY: Hiding Casino Thug Strength: High Health: Low Speed: Immobile Attacks: Heavy gunfire Strategy: A Casino Thug that will sometimes hide behind a table. Difficulty: 6/10 HAZARD: Odd Machines Info: Odd machines are in the room where you fight Pok and must be destroyed to make him vulnerable. To destroy them, shoot them a few times. However, they explode when shot, so shoot them from a distance. HAZARD: Explosions Info: Explosions that happen at a set point in the mission. Don't go near them, obviously. ********************* Walkthrough: Once you start the mission, stand still and a message will appear: You now have the supernatural ability to motivate souls to detonate when you slay a foe. Move forward a kill the two Dragon Beasts that warp into the room and collect their souls. Go into the next room and kill all of the enemies there (there are simply too many enemies in this small room to list precise locations, but the enemies in here are: Hiding Casino Thugs, Revolver Gunman, Serpent Eye, and Casino Thugs). Proceed through the door on the wall by running up the wall and into the door. Run up the staircase, turn around, and run up two more staircases. Fall down into the small area below and IMMEDIATELY jump back from where you fell, because two Dragon Beasts will rip you to shreds if you don't. Kill the two Dragon Beasts and draw in their souls. Proceed towards the circular metal table, but DON'T jump on it. An explosion will take place. Jump up the debris left by it, and prepare to face a mutated version of Pok. To kill him, you must first destroy the 8 odd machines low on walls around the room. But |
