With this technique, you can kill almost any creature with one shot (bow or crossbow)
I like to use this with the rock golems, (for example in witchwood lake), just stand in a place where the golem cannot see you, take out your weapon, an keep the X button pressed for about 2-3 minutes, walk near the golem, fire and that should kill it - one shot-, & your combat multiplier should go up to 62, more or less, try it with different cretures, it's quite useful, also considering you can dodge while charging the shot.

Now i wont say that u can have UNLIMITED exp, but i can tell u how to get a helluva lot!!
