How to preform cheats.

I have played and beaten Half-Life too manny times to count, and sadly, it's starting to get a little boring (as far as boring for Half-Life can go[isn't far at all]). Well, I have looked up some cheats, and have tried them...well guess what, they don't work. The only cheat that seems to work is the respawn current weapon ammo, which only requires the colloreds. When ever I try to submit any cheat that rquires a directional, it doesn't work. So the question is, which key pad do I use?

If you can, send a full detailed list of your answer with the actual cheat you choose as an exaple, other wise, just answer this pleese, I don't want to say the game has gotten boring and It's lost its kicks for me, I eman after all, it is the best game EVER!!!
