I played this game and it really has a great story and the graphics
are alright,a series of nice weapons,and great combos to choose
from,a very good number of allies with you on almost every level to
help you out in every mission except the boss battles of course but
there is an exception for General Kuun where Jen Chi helps you out,
the game in overall is good and I would rate it 6/10 after playing
it and writing a faq about it.So I wrote this faq only for two
purposes, is to help anyone who wants one and to give a strategy to
those who dont have one.

1.2_Playing New Legends:
----------------------------
1.Game Screen (HUD):
Watch the Game Screen, or Heads Up Display (HUD), for important
information on Sun Soo's health, equipped weapons, navigation,
and incoming messages.
2.Health Meter:
Sun Soo's health is shown in the bottom-right corner of the HUD
as a coin with a ring. When full of health, the coin will be gold
As you take damage, the gold will desappear from the coin When
Sun Soo is almost out of health, the coin will flash red. After
losing all your health, the game will display a menu giving you
the option to restart the mission, load a game or start a new
game.
The blue ring around the coin represents Sun Soo's chi points.
As he defeats more enemies, the blue will increase until the ring
is full.When full,you can perform a special attack by pressing
Y+B or Y+X.
3.Navigation:
If you get lost en route to the next objective, look at the
health meter in the bottom-right corner of the HUD. The compass
behind the health meter always points towords the next objective
Use the compass to help navigate the landscape.
If your compass is blue, you are beneath your next objective.If
the compass is red, you are above the objective - try to find a
staircase or hillside to move to the correct level to complete
your objective.
4.Equipped Weapons:
During gameplay, you can change weapons at any time.Press the
D-pad or Black Button to scroll through Sun Soo's equipped
weapons in the bottom-left corner of the HUD,showing the four
weapons at your immediate disposel. Now highlight a weapon with
D-pad or Black button.Press the B button to equip your right hand
or press the X button to equip your left hand.
Note:To use a weapon from yuor inventory,you must first equip the
weapon by moving it from your inventory into the Weapon Select
Menu.
5.Incoming Message:
As the Non Player Characters (NPC) interact with Sun Soo, their
portraits will appear in the top-left corner of the HUD. Be sure
to listen to each NPC for important information regarding your
current mission and the status of Xao Gong's army.
6.Enemy Health:
While in the midst of battle, a health meter will appear beneath
each enemy on screen. When full,an enemy's health meter is a
green ring.As he takes damage,the ring will decrease in size and
will change color. When the ring is red, the enemy is very close
to being defeated.
Of course when batteling against a Boss,his or her health is
shown in two ways:
1)Health Meter:
The health meter beneath a Boss will appear as a ring.It will
take quite a bit more damage to defeat one of these
half-demon Generals!
2)Element Symbol:
Also,a symbol of the Boss' aligned element will appear in the
top-right corner of the HUD. As the Boss takes damage, the
symbol will become more transparent.When a Boss is defeated,
the symbol will desapear.
7.Inventory:
As you defeat enemy soldiers, they will drop weapons that Sun Soo
can pick up and use.To view these weapons in your inventory
press the Back Button.
You can move any weapon from the inventory into the Weapon Select
menu. Highlight a weapon and press A.Now choose a weapon to
remove from your Weapon Select Menu and press A again.The new
weapon will now be selectable during the game, and the old weapon
will move into your inventory.
Note:You can only equip a maximum of 4 weapons into your Weapon
Select Menu.

1.2.1_Attacking and Combos:
---------------------------
Sun Soo can use two 1-handed weapons at a time,or he can equip a
single 2-handed weapon to use against Xao Gon's army.Sun Soo will
use a different technique with each weapon,giving him unique attacks
and combos as he attains new weapons.
Each combo uses a combination of the right and left handed attack.
Press the X and B buttons in rapid succession to complete each combo
To view a weapon's combo list,enter the Options Menu after pausing
the game. Select COMBOS to see the entire set of attacks at Sun
Soo's disposal for his current wepaon of choice.Press the D-pad
right or left to view the combos for the other weapons Sun Soo is
carrying with him.
1.2.2_Shrines and Chi:
---------------------------
As you progress throguh the game,Sun Soo's health will start to
dwindle. The only way to regain health is to find a shrine or a
medic cart. Approach the shrine or medical cart until the hand icon
appears on-screen. Now press and hold the White button to regain
your health.
When regaining health at a shrine or medical cart, the blue ring
around the coin will not increase. To regain Sun Soo's chi, fight
with a strong will and defeat many enemies. Only then will you be
able to use your chi points to launch a special attack on your
enemies.
Note:Not all shrines look the same. Some are elaborately decorated
set inside gigantic temples with hundreds of candles. Other
shrines are simply a peaceful,tranquil table set aside in a
person's work area with a few lit candles.
1.2.3_Doors and Levers:
---------------------------
There are many closed doors throughout New Legends that Sun Soo can
open and walkthrough - simply approach a door and the door will open
Other doors require the party to defeat an enemy, or to find and
activate a lever or a button, approach it like you would to a shrine
then press the white button to activate it. The door or gate will
open and the party may proceed.

Description: This is a short,single sided weapon. You can equip another
hook sword or a weapon for a more deadly combination than
the Nepalese Kukri.

2)Tech Weapons:

Sometimes it is  beneficial to equip a distance weapon in one hand with
A melee weapon in the other.While approaching an enemy, you can fire the
Distance weapon until your enemy is in short range, then you can use the
Melee weapon to attack and defend with.
1.Hand Cannon Shotgun:
Type: Single handed
Decription: A single-handed sawed off shotgun, it's good to use in
conjunction with another cannon for double firepower.
2.Power Bow:
Type: Double Handed
Description: This huge bow’s primary weapon mode shoots charged bolts
towards unsuspecting enemies. Unlike an arrow, the charged
bolt can shoot through an infinite number of people. The
secondary weapon mode requires more time to prepare. Much
like a hand grenade, the user must prime a charged bolt to
explode over his enemy.
X Button: Fire Normal Arrow
B Button: Fire An Arrow That Splits into Five
3.Lion’s Fury:
Type: Double Handed
Description: The Lion’s Fury is a typical rocket launcher with a
secondary attack, which fires multiple missiles towards an
enemy. Before being able to launch the secondary attack,
the user must load the Lion’s Fury with extra missiles.
X Button: Fire one Missile
B Button: Fire five Missiles
4.Plasma Whirlwind:
Type: Double Handed
Description: A projectile weapon, the Plasma Whirlwind fires blasts of
plasma at an opponent in rapid succession. Because of it’s
speed, an entire area can become saturated with energy
damage at an extremely fast rate.
5.Flechette Mini Gun:
Type: Single Handed
Description: The Flechette Mini Gun fires long, electrically charged
spikes, called flechettes, at an alarmingly fast rate. The
projectiles are not seen until an enemy is hit.
6.Tank Puncher:
Type: Double Handed
Description: This large weapon is so heavy, the user needs to rest it
on his shoulders to fire it. The Tank Puncher delivers an
armor piercing round and is good for taking out tanks and
flyers.

Jen Chi is a forgotten descendent of Hua’the god of war. Even at the age of
10,she was bright and the mischievous and often found herself in trouble.
Beneath her oversized clothing, she hides all kinds of tricks,bombs and
throwing weapons that she uses judiciously.
Jen Chi rides a dragon named Talos,who is an enchanted beast with a breath
of fire and a bite that can crush stone.

Weapon of Choice: His Fists
A demi-demon born from the love between a demon and human, he is a monstrous
looking being that invokes fear and hatred wherever he travels and is not
accepted by either of his races. Boo is,of course, a gentle being who by
trade  is a warrior. It is his uncharacteristic strength and speed that
makes him such a valuable partner.
Boo still wears the prison chains on his wrists to remind him of the pain
and suffering that the Gon army has given him. He loves to fight and get
into the action. Patience is not a strong suit of his and he is quick to act
before he thinks.

Weapon of Choice: Specialized Rifle
Fa Zhang is a pack rat, collecting anything and everything to create new
weapons with. He grew up under the tyranny of Xao Gon’s first empire and has
a keen sense of history.Fa Zhang is a good storyteller and, by looking at
his broken nose and scars on his arms, a well seasoned bar brawler. His
stubbornness,tenacity, and weapon-building skills allowed him to emerge as
the most sought after weapons maker throughout China.
He’s now 127 years old and is as fit as any 30-year-old man. Zhang carries
his own personalized rifle and is a keen sharp shooter.

Weapon of Choice: Bamboo Staff
For a person of his size and stature, he is surpassingly nimble. Not much is
known about this warrior except that he is seeking a peaceful way of life.
When he does need a weapon, Topo uses a bamboo staff. A healthy appetite
funds a wide girth that makes for a great defensive barrier.
Mai Khan:

Weapon of Choice: Kukri Blades
Mai Khan is the daughter of Roa Khan. She is a great warrior in her own
Right and happens to be quite beautiful – indeed the make of royalty.She has
an aggressive attitude that can be seen through her dignified manners. Mai
Khan carries a Kukri knife and is very adept at in-close,melee fighting.

It has long been rumored that Xao Gon, with a demon from the otherworld,
fathered his five children. Each of his offspring is embodied with the
strength of the five elements:metal,wind,fire,water,and earth. They form the
corner stones of Gon’s massive army. His gifts to his sons are the five
Forbidden Blades of Heaven, stolen from their honorable place to be used for
evil.

1.6_GAME WALKTHROUGH:

1.6.1_Nanjing The Soo Kingdom
1.A Warrior’s Call To Duty:
-----------------------------
You’ll start in the castle go straight to the red gate. Then go left from
there to another gate go through it. Then follow the path until you reach
a bridge with a marker. Continue your way until you see a cliff go down and
go down the other cliff,go left to see a wounded soldier and a flare,go to
him then the medic will come. After that you're ambushed,ok to be on the
safe side go behind a rock beside the wall,wait until the wall breaks open
then go over it to finish this mission.
2.The Retreat:
-----------------------------
If you went in the brawl in the last mission you might as well go fill your
Health, you’ll find the shrine to your right when you start, go in front of
it then hold the white button you’ll see yellow light around you. After
youre done go straight to an open door,then go left you’ll see a tank try to
avoid it by going left then right to another opened door,then follow your
men through the houses until you go out of them.Continue forward and you'll
fight a couple of guards.After your done go forward until you see a red door
on your right,instead leave it and go forward and turn to the second right
(dont go left you'll see  a tank!!)and down to the through the second door,
follow your guard in the city until you reach a big opening with a lot of
guards,leave them and continue straight to the bridge.
3.Attack on The Soo Capital:
-----------------------------
At the beginning start running to the castle dont even bother fighting here
its suicide.After you enter the gate of the castle go straight then right
to find an opened door,go through there and head straight to the tower in
front of you,two will jump from the sides get rid of them.Then go into the
tower,if you need to regenerate your health look left and do so,after youre
done go up the stairs to the next floor and through the door,dont bother
going up there’s nothing.Walk until you get to the side of the gate,go in
and head straight to the machine and cut the ropes(the lever doesn't work)
A scene will trigger the you'll be thrown with your father fighting zombie
like ninja's anyways after your done,go after the zombie ninja whos running
from you dont kill him cause its no use just go after him and try to avoid
the others who are coming from everywhere if you get stuck with them just
do your job and special attacks work good here.After he gets to the gates
a scene will trigger.

1.6.2_Bayanhongor Gon Prison Camp:
1.Mongolian Rebel Attack:

If you need a new weapon just go fight the guards you'll get there clubs
and if you find the Soo Blade its a good choice.Go forward then go left
to the end of the building,then turn right you'll see a little hill and
an opening you can go through.After your in,turn left then search for a
switch on the left.After the scene go through the new opened door and
continue forward to a room full of beds just continue forward to the roof,
at the roof dispose of the gaurds and turn left and then go right inside a
little building, you'll see a switch and if you look to the left you'll see
a prison guard and a medic for health,look straight and you'll see a button.
After pressing the button you'll notice a door will open to the opposite
from where your standing,go into it and onto the roof,press the switch to
the left to open the gate thats under you,then continue on until you see a
train with the hatch open,jump into it and dispose of the prison guards and
continue straight on to the other part of the train,continue forward and
you'll see one of the rebels getting shot,leave him and go straight, go down
to the left and drop  yourself on the water below,look to the left you'll
see a tower,try climbing on the ledges by jumping on it to the top,then when
you reach the top of the tower you will see that theres a ledge sticking out
from the tower to the train, go over the sticked out ledge and go above the
train, while your ontop of the train,go to the back of the train and you'll
see a hatch,go down and straight and a scene will trigger.

1.6.3_Altay Shan Gon Border Outpost
1.The Bridge to Altay Shan:
----------------------------
Head straight then turn right to see a couple of guards if you wanna killém
go right ahead but watch out for the flyers they fire machine guns at you.
Either you killed them or not you have to be on the run, go onto the bridge
and continue forward you'll see two paths,just keep going straight into the
building, get rid of the guards and go to the upper floor to get the Power
Bow,get out on the opposite side and keep going straight leaving the left
path alone and watch out for the bow guards on the right building you can
go and kill them for their arrows if you want,then continue onwards and go
right in the next building for health.After that go straight and you'll see
maybe 3-4 guards shooting with bows and you should do the same, dispose of
them and continue right on top of the bridge and just keep going straight
leaving the guards behind and going down the stairs into an open door and
a wide area.
2.The City of Altay Shan:
----------------------------
There are a lot of routes to go by in this level I'll try to give you the
easiest one.In the Beginning go right then follow the stairs leading up,then
go into the building on the left for health now you can lead the guards to
the health shrine or fightém then go regenerate your health oh and watch out
for the flyers.When your done continue up the stairs and straight you'll
find guards of course you'll see a cannon on the left just leave it alone,
continue straight through and aslo you'll see a big building on the left,
continue downwards and then in the intersection turn right downwards you'll
see another cannon on the left leave it and continue on.Go into the building
and continue to the opposite side to the other door and continue to go
straight ahead.At the end of the road you'll see a bridge on the right and a
path on the left go to the left and go up the stairs until you see a cannon
on the left,go behind the cannon and control it,fire at another cannon to
your left to finish the objective,now you can go to the bridge to the next
mission or if you want health look back and you'll see a building go inside
the building and kill the guards,on the second floor you'll see a shrine,
but if the door closes go out from the other door and walk around on the
building ledge to go back to the cannon you fired from.
3.The Avalanche:
-------------------------------
This is one of the easiest levels in the game just keep going down,watch
your health meter dont get too hurt while going down just jump down to go
faster but if you jump high enough you'll get hurt.You'll see a wall in the
way in the level just wait until it breaks then continue.Watch out when you
jump on the bridge in the end dont fall from the sides.Oh and watch out for
falling rocks.

1.6.4_Kazakstan Zaysan Refinery
1.The Refinery:
---------------------------------
In this level equip the Hand Cannon Shotgun on any hand and equip the Soo
Sword on the other or whatever you like but the Shotgun must be equiped
or the Flechette gun also so that you can manage easily in this level.You
start with Boo,follow the arrow to a bridge,continue over the bridge until
you get attacked by 5-6 guards kill them all then you'll see a tower in
front of you, theres a way up so go up,on your way up you'll see a medic at
your left,store health then continue up and place the charge.Look around to
see an arrow pointing to a walk-way.Continue your way to the next charge.
Remember to stock up on shells and when your going at a guard fire than hack
n slash. After placing the second charge continue toward the third charge.
After placing the third charge head down to continue your mission. You'll
find yourself in a long walkway with a lot of guards take them out then
continue on.After placing the forth and last charge a gate will open and
guards rush out to meet you, continue down to see a big opening just keep
fighting the guards until your friend Fa Zhang gets you a ride.

1.6.5_Somewhere Along The Road...
1.The Dragon Talos:

In this level you'll acquire the infinity staff(its thrown everywhere in the
level)and the Iron staff,you can do the Mantis Poke Fury forever!! Its very
useful and the weird thing is that they are both the same if anybody knows a
difference please tell me.Go down from atop of the hill and continue forward
until you see 3 guards beside a machine,press the white button with either
Fa Zhang or Topo around while equipping the infinity staff to pull it off
The ground.Then go to the right of the temple to see another machine with
Guards around it,do the same as the last one. Watch out for the traps that
Lay around the place.After that go to the right of the temple from where
Your standing beside the second machine,you'll see the third machine with
Guards around it and do the same also.

1.6.6_Nepal The Forgotten Temple
1.The Sacred Canyons:
---------------------------------
At the beginning equip the infinity staff and dispose of everyone in front
of you,go down and left to continue on,follow the walkway but be careful of
falling down.Continue on until you get to a shrine,charge up if you want
then continue on.You'll find yourself in a wide area with guards,defeat them
and go left over the bridge, at the other end of the bridge you'll find
another wide area but this time its too crowded so dont worry about using
Special Moves especially Infinity's staff special move(it covers a wide
Range)after your done continue on your way and watch out for the hole on the
road,if you fall you might die and even if you didn't there are a tons of
guards waiting.Well after jumping over that hole continue and you'll find a
shrine on the way.After that continue forward you'll find guards along the
way so if you wanna run keep on running or if you wanna restore your CHI
fight them.Sometimes Topo intends to jump from the cliff DO NOT FOLLOW HIM
or you'll die dont even go after him he'll only get you killed trust me I
died the first time following him to a downhill cliff...
2.The Forgotten Temple:
-------------------------------
Go forward then down the stairs ,then up the stairs to the house rooftop,
go right to see a shrine,then jump down and go out from the opening onto the
ledge,go to the next house and watch out for the bow guard,enter the house
on the right and go to the rooftop ,jump between rooftops to make your
journey easier,then you'll find a bridge jump on it then go forward to
another house,go through it and continue to the other house.Go between the
houses using the bridge and for a quick way to push guards out press X while
running or standing.Then you'll reach a house built-in the mountain there's
a shrine here so use it if you need to.Continue through the house and out to
other houses and jumping on there rooftops until you reach a long bridge,go
to the other side of the bridge and kick the boxes for stunning the guards
at the end of the bridge if you want to.Continue by jumping down the ledges.
Don't jump like crazy to the ground or you'll die just jump down step-by-step
until you reach the ground.Go forward then on the left you'll see a temple
built in the mountain go there and the door will open to let you finish this
mission.Then you have to fight General Kuun...
3.The Battle with Earth
BOSS: GENERAL KUUN (EARTH):
--------------------------------
Well hes kinda tough but if you play it right hes easy first of all the stage
has a lot of places to restore your health that would make it easy.To make
things even easier theres Jen Chi to help you(the girl with the dragon)she'll
sometimes fire a red ball to stop his deadly combo on you.Equip the Infinity
staff or the Tiger Claw.If you've equipped the Infinity Staff do the Mantis
Poke Fury but when he starts to block stop or he'll parry you ,try adding a
little combo with it,and if you've equipped the Tiger Claw do the Rising
Tiger, when he wants to hit press X for a quick hit to let him stop his combo
Use alot of Special's especially with the Tiger Claw and kill the guards with
him there a pain.
4.The Underworld:
---------------------------------
Ok now this is a pain you start with nothing,only with a measly sword but
hey it does the job.At the begining turn left to see 2 gravestones pick up
the swords and block fast cause theres a stone warrior whos gonna attack you
from behind.Now the problem is theres no shrine here so the only way to
restore health is to fight of the stone warriors so that means go look for
every stone warrior there is.On the first Island you'll find maybe 4-5 stone
warriors after you take them out go to one of the far side of the island
you'll see a stone bridge you can either go between the houses to go there
or to go around the house from the right,when you get to the back of the
house watch out for a stone warrior he intends to push you over the cliff so
try to lure him in the broken house and then finish him.At the second Island
do the same,kill all Stone warriors so that you have full health for the
upcoming battle oops...anyways head to the broken bridge and go forward but
wait theres a crack between the bridge so you will have to jump over it,so
dont miss it out,at the end enter the castle and you will meet...
BOSS: A REPLICA OF SUN SOO...?

Well after a long look at him while he gets it at me I think hes a replica,
the only thing different is his body is black and larger and I think he has
white eyes.This fight can be hard,if you parry a lot your sword will break
