Version 1.0 2/4/06 Finally finished the Master Ninja sections after a two month hiatus, so the FAQ is pretty much done. Life of the Gods/Lives of the Thousands Gods Locations - LTG ---------------------------------------------------------------- This section tells you where to find each and every life upgrade in the game. There are major differences between Normal/Ninja Dog and Hard and up, but that's why this section also has locations for every difficulty. Enjoy! LTG-N ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++a. Normal/Ninja Dog++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ - Lives of the Thousand Gods 1 - Ninja Fortress - In the Tatami Room in the Ninja Fortress. Very hard to miss. - Life of the Gods 1 - Near Hayabusa Village - You'll come across a broken bridge. Once you swim across the water, turn around and position yourself so you line up with a small area in front of you. Water run (press A when you hit the water and continue hitting A) and open up the chest. - Life of the Gods 2 - Hayabusa Village - After entering Hayabusa Village, look to the right and you'll see three statues with one of them missing its head. Defeat the enemies and head down the hill to where a dead ninja lies. Behind him is a small brown rock...which just so happens to be the missing statue's head. Run back up and place the head back on the statue to receive a Life of the Gods. - Life of the Gods 3 - Main Deck Area - Go through the left door of the double doors on the Main Deck. There should be a circular window to the right of the correct double doors. Anyway, go inside and kick open the chest. - Life of the Gods 4 - Helm of the Airship - After you defeat all the enemies in the Helm, grab the ID Card and go through the door next to the elevator. Open the chest in here for another Life of the Gods. - Life of the Gods 5 - Muramasa Statue - Trade in a Golden Scarab to Muramasa. - Life of the Gods 6 - Tairon; near Clock Tower Plaza - As you continue through Tairon, you'll find a Kunai note that says, "When in doubt, look to the color blue for the path." Well, if you look where this note landed, you'll see a blue strip. Run towards it and Ryu will flip over and hang on the ledge. Shimmy over to the right and climb up. Open up the chest here. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 2 - Tairon; near Clock Tower Plaza - After grabbing the above item, shimmy back over and kill the two soldiers firing at you with your bow. Now, see the blue lines on the right wall? You can either wall run and air yourself (press X with the Dragon Sword) to the balcony, or you can wall run straight up to the lines and shimmy across to the balcony. Either way, when you get there, jump onto the wire and climb across. Open the chest here for an instant health expansion. No Lives in this Chapter. - Life of the Gods 7 - Monastery Annex - Immediately after this Chapter starts, turn around and open the left chest. - Life of the Gods 8 - Between Econtra Babel Specus and Giant Fossil Area - After defeating the six Brown Imps in Econtra Babel Specus, go through the gate and kill all of the Cyclops Wasps. From the exit on the lower floor, follow the wall to your right and when you reach a dead end, wall run up the left wall. Turn around and jump to the ledge, then turn right and jump to this ledge. Now, turn left. This is tricky. Wall run from where you are to the ledge in front and above you. You might either overshoot the ledge or not run far enough. Once you get up there, grab this from the chest. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 3 - Econtra Babel Specus - Grab the glowing blue item as soon as the chapter starts. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 4 - Tomb of the Eons; Ritual Room - Complete the Ritual Room Fiend Challenge. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 5 - Muramasa Statue - Trade in 10 Golden Scarabs to Muramasa. - Life of the Gods 9 - Suspension Bridge Room - Right when you enter the Suspension Bridge room, turn left and open the chest. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 6 - Suspension Bridge Room - Defeat Hydracubus after opening the door blocked by the two snakes. Grab this in the middle of the room. - Life of the Gods 10 - Monastery; Monk's Room - After the underground floods, enter the elevator and kill the three Black Spider Ninjas here. Read the Monk's diary, then head over to the safe. To open it, hit right until the first gem lights up, then left, right, left. You'll get the Life of the Gods. No Lives in this Chapter. - Life of the Gods 11 - Military Supply Base; Warehouse - After you enter the Warehouse, run right and look for two boxes in a lowered section between two tracks. There is a Life of the Gods in one of them. - Life of the Gods 12 - Military Supply Base; Before Control Room - Right before the Control Room, this chest is hiding next to the stairs. Run to the bottom and turn around. - Life of the Gods 13 - Tairon; Train Wreck - In a chest right by the train wreck. - Life of the Gods 14 - Near Blue Tablet room - After killing the Thunderbolt Worm, continue down the hallway and you'll reach the Hall of Balance. Run around the catwalk and go into the tunnel on the other side. At the fork, go right and open the chest for the Life of the Gods. - Life of the Gods 15 - Underground Waterway - Kill the two Thunderbolt Worms, then open the chest in the right tunnel. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 7 - Peristyle Passage - Complete the Peristyle Passage Fiend Challenge. - Life of the Gods 16 - Between Peristyle Passage and Underground Sanctuary - Near the door to the Underground Sanctuary is a diagonal wall. Wall run up it and jump off, then run around to the end and open the chest here. - Life of the Gods 17 - Moat of Zarkhan; Island in the Moat - In a treasure chest on the other side of the "island". Just run straight ahead from the save point and open the chest. Hard to miss. - Life of the Gods 18 - Moat of Zarkhan; Underwater Maze - While swimming through the maze, there is a treasure chest with this in it. Again, hard to miss (you swim right over it). - Life of the Gods 19 - Zarkhan Stadium - Once you get to the top of the Stadium, this Life is in the left chest at the top of the sitting area/stairs (after jumping over the broken railing). - Life of the Gods 20 - Zarkhan Stadium - After getting the 19th Life, jump over to the ledge, flip the switch, and continue down the ledge. There is a chest that contains the Life. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 7 - Zarkhan Stadium - Complete the Zarkhan Stadium Fiend Challenge, and open the chest at the top of the Stadium. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 8 - Stairs to the Imperial Palace - Complete the Stairs to the Imperial Palace Fiend Challenge. - Life of the Gods 21 - Tairon; Behind breakable wall in Great Bridge Square - Break open the cracked wall and open the chest. Now, wall run on the left wall and then Ryu will jump to the back wall. Run to the ledge. Turn around and wall run up to the next ledge where the Life is inside a chest. - Life of the Gods 22 - Near Zarkhan Falls - Break open the left stone head near the save point and grab the item inside. - Life of the Gods 23 - At the bottom of the pond by Zarkhan Falls - Dive into the water and search around for a treasure chest with the Life inside. - Life of the Gods 24 - Between the Path of Flame and Magma Lake - After killing the Firebolt Worm, run down the tunnel and before you hit the switch here, jump down and turn right. Jump up on top of the ledge here with the treasure chest and kick it open for another Life. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 9 - Hall of the Flame Dragon - Kill Smaugan, then run along his corpse and grab the Lives on his back. Not hard to miss (just be careful when you jump onto him). - Life of the Gods 25 - After the Hall of the Flame Dragon - Run down this tunnel and you'll come to a save point with a chest behind it. Run on over and kick that chest open for the Life. - Life of the Gods 26 - Inside the Pyramid; Tablet of Leaves Room - The room should have the Tablet of Flame and Leaves. When you enter, turn right and open the chest. - Life of the Gods 27 - Zarkhan Labyrinth; After the first Ghost Fish - Kill ALL of the Ghost Fish in the immediate area, then head left (from the entrance). Explore in here and you'll find the final health upgrade sitting in a chest. No Lives in this Chapter. LTG-H ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++b. Hard++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ - Lives of the Thousand Gods 1 - Ninja Fortress - In the Tatami Room in the Ninja Fortress. Open it for the Life. - Life of the Gods 9 - Dworku; Between Drawbridge Hill and Monastery Plaza - Facing the save point at Drawbridge Hill, turn right and run down this street and down the stairs. A little ways past the stairs is a chest on the left in front of a door. Grab the Life inside here. - Life of the Gods 10 - Monastery Annex - Immediately after this Chapter starts, turn around and open the left chest. - Life of the Gods 11 - Monastery - Enter the Monastery and run up the ramp. Open up the chest that is between the two ramps. Very hard to miss. - Life of the Gods 12 - Monastery; Second Floor - Leave the Archive via the third floor exit and turn right. Run to the edge and look right a bit, then jump over to the chest behind the fenced-off area. Grab the Life inside. - Life of the Gods 13 - Between Econtra Babel Specus and Giant Fossil Area - After defeating the six Brown Imps in Econtra Babel Specus, go through the gate and kill all of the Cyclops Wasps. There is a Life of the Gods in one of them. - Life of the Gods 19 - Military Supply Base; Warehouse - Head up the stairs near the entrance and open the chest at the top on the balcony. You'll get another Life to add to your life bar. - Life of the Gods 20 - Military Supply Base; Narrow Hallway - After destroying the Radio Tower and blowing up the four Laser Copters, you'll enter a narrow hallway with three rocket soldiers. Use Art of the Inferno on them, then run down and open the chest with the Life inside. - Life of the Gods 21 - Military Supply Base; Before Control Room - Right before the Control Room, this chest is hiding next to the stairs. Run to the bottom and turn around. - Life of the Gods 22 - Tairon; Train Wreck - In a chest right by the train wreck. - Life of the Gods 23 - Near Blue Tablet room - After killing the Thunderbolt Worm, continue down the hallway and you'll reach the Hall of Balance. At the top is a chest with the Life inside. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 5 - Peristyle Passage - Complete the Peristyle Passage Fiend Challenge. - Life of the Gods 27 - Between Peristyle Passage and Underground Sanctuary - Near the door to the Underground Sanctuary is a diagonal wall. It's location is random. - Life of the Gods 39 - Inside the Pyramid; Tablet of Leaves Room - The room should have the Tablet of Flame and Leaves. When you enter, turn right and open the chest. - Life of the Gods 40 - Zarkhan Labyrinth; After the first Ghost Fish - Kill ALL of the Ghost Fish in the immediate area, then head left (from the entrance). Explore in here and you'll find the Life sitting in a chest. - Life of the Gods 41 - Zarkhan Labyrinth - After grabbing the 40th Life from the chest, continue down the first path and climb up the stairs. Then climb up the stairs to the right. Head left and grab the Life from inside the chest. - Life of the Gods 42 - Zarkhan Labyrinth - After you first meet the Laser Imp Fiends (are black with pincers and fire lasers), run past where the first one spawned and open the chest here. - Life of the Gods 43 - After Leaving Zarkhan Stadium - After you kill all the Ghost Fish that appeared in the arena, run outside and run up the hill to the right. The Life is at the top. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 8 - Fiend Realm - Complete the Great Bridge Fiend Challenge. To get there from the gate leading to the Stairs, run straight ahead until you get to a fork. Go left and look for a gate to the right. Continue past it and run into the small alley next to it. Jump up to the ledge and drop down. Activate the stone circle and get killing! - Life of the Gods 44 - Core of the Imperial Palace; Second Floor - Open the chest before entering the second floor room. It's on the right side of the door. - Life of the Gods 45 - Core of the Imperial Palace; Fourth Floor - Open the chest before entering the fourth floor room. The chest is in plain sight. Very hard to miss. - Life of the Gods 1 - Near Hayabusa Village - You'll come across a broken bridge. Open that chest to obtain this Life of the Gods. - Life of the Gods 8 - Tairon; Between Clock Tower Plaza and Moat Road - After passing through the Lily Key door, kill the three soldiers here and continue down the alley. Wall run on the right wall, then the back wall and you'll end up by a chest. Open it for the Life. - Life of the Gods 9 - Monastery Annex - Immediately after this Chapter starts, turn around and open the right chest. - Life of the Gods 10 - Monastery - After you go past the bats and the Muramasa statue, you will have to fight three Bastet Fiends. Once you defeat these, turn around and head back towards where the Muramasa statue was. There is a chest on the floor, and when you open it you get this item. - Life of the Gods 11 - Monastery - Enter the Monastery and run up the ramp. Open up the chest that is between the two ramps. Jump up these blocks and grab the item from the throne. - Life of the Gods 17 - Monastery; Monk's Room - After the underground floods, enter the elevator and kill the three Black Spider Ninjas here. Read the Monk's diary, then head over to the safe. To open it, hit right until the first gem lights up, then left, right, left. You'll get the Life of the Gods. - Life of the Gods 18 - Tairon; Great Bridge Square - Defeat the lone Berserker, and a Life of the Gods will appear at the glowing item in the middle of the area. - Life of the Gods 19 - Tairon; through Skull Door near Military Base - In the chest just sitting there, you will find this Life of the Gods. - Life of the Gods 20 - Military Supply Base; Warehouse - After you enter the Warehouse, run right and look for two boxes in a lowered section between two tracks. There is a Life of the Gods in one of them. - Life of the Gods 21 - Military Supply Base; Hallway after Radio Tower- After you kill the three rocket launcher guys the first time, there is a chest on the right side of the hallway. Open it up to receive this Life of the Gods. - Life of the Gods 22 - Military Supply Base; Before Control Room - Right before the Control Room, this chest is hiding next to the stairs. Run to the bottom and turn around. - Life of the Gods 23 - Tairon; Train Wreck - In a chest right by the train wreck. - Life of the Gods 24 - Red Tablet area - On the left-hand side of the Red Tablet area (where you place the Tablet) there will be a chest. Run around the catwalk and go into the tunnel on the other side. Just run straight ahead from the save point and open the chest. Again, hard to miss (you swim right over it). - Life of the Gods 31 - Zarkhan Stadium - Once you get to the top of the Stadium, this Life is in the left chest at the top of the sitting area/stairs (after jumping over the broken railing). - Life of the Gods 32 - Zarkhan Stadium - After getting the 31st Life, jump over to the ledge, flip the switch, and continue down the ledge. There is a chest that contains the Life. - Life of the Gods 33 - Before Stairs to the Imperial Palace - In a small chest to the right, just before you get to the Stairs. - Lives of the Thousand Gods 6 - Stairs to the Imperial Palace - Complete the Stairs to the Imperial Palace Fiend Challenge. - Life of the Gods 34 - Near Zarkhan Falls - Break open the left stone head near the save point and grab the item inside. - Life of the Gods 35 - At the bottom of the pond by Zarkhan Falls - Dive into the water and search around for a treasure chest with the Life inside. - Life of the Gods 36 - In the room where you put the Iron Ore pieces - Instead of just going up the seesaw the normal way, run to the other end (when you first come in) then turn around. You should see a small opening in the wall, run and jump into that and the chest is on the left. - Life of the Gods 37 - Between the Path of Flame and Magma Lake - After killing the Firebolt Worm, run down the tunnel and before you hit the switch here, jump down and turn right. Water run (press A when you hit the water and continue hitting A) and open up the chest. - Life of the Gods 2 - Hayabusa Village; Bridge to Clan Leader's Residence - Defeat the red samurai Masakado, then grab this Life right in the middle of the bridge. - Life of the Gods 3 - Main Deck Area - Go through the left door of the double doors on the Main Deck. There should be a circular window to the right of the correct double doors. Anyway, go inside and kick open the chest. - Life of the Gods 4 - Military Gate - Coming in from the Twin Serpents Plaza, check the ninja's body for the item. - Life of the Gods 5 - Tairon; near Clock Tower Plaza - As you continue through Tairon, you'll find a Kunai note that says, "When in doubt, look to the color blue for the path." Well, if you look where this note landed, you'll see a blue strip. Run towards it and Ryu will flip over and hang on the ledge. Shimmy over to the right and climb up. Open up the chest here. - Life of the Gods 6 - Tairon; near Clock Tower Plaza - After grabbing the above item, shimmy back over and kill the two soldiers firing at you with your bow. Now, see the blue lines on the right wall? You can either wall run and air yourself (press X with the Dragon Sword) to the balcony, or you can wall run straight up to the lines and shimmy across to the balcony. Either way, when you get there, jump onto the wire and climb across. Open the chest here for another Life of the Gods. - Life of the Gods 7 - Tairon; Han's Bar - After meeting Rachel and killing the first three soldiers, run down the hallway and open the chest on the left of the door. - Life of the Gods 8 - Tairon; Between Clock Tower Plaza and Moat Road - After passing through the Lily Key door, kill the three soldiers here and continue down the alley. Wall run on the right wall and you'll end up by a chest. Run to the edge and look right a bit, then jump over to the chest behind the fenced-off area. From the exit on the lower floor, follow the wall to your right and when you reach a dead end, wall run up the left wall. Turn around and jump to the ledge, then turn right and jump to this ledge. Now, turn left. This is tricky. Wall run from where you are to the ledge in front and above you. You might either overshoot the ledge or not run far enough. Well, after you reach Clock Tower Plaza, you should see a small doorway with a gate surrounded by blue. Head up the stairs and kill the three soldiers. Continue up and you'll encounter three Black Spider Ninjas. These guys are tough. Whenever then finish their four hit combo, quickly counter with the Izuna Drop (XYXXXY, scroll required). Do this for all three. Continue around the clock tower and run through the archway. Open the chest for your first Ninpo expansion. No Spirits/Jewels in this Chapter. - Spirit of the Devils 2 - Monastery; Archives - Complete the Archives Fiend Challenge (Chapter 6-7 only). Then grab the chest on the second floor. - Spirit of the Devils 3 - Muramasa Statue - Trade in 15 Golden Scarabs to Muramasa. - Jewel of the Demon Seal 1 - Suspension Bridge Room - After you kill Hydracubus in the Hidden Underground, you'll move some blocks from the wall. Jump up these blocks and grab the Jewel from the throne. No Spirits/Jewels in these Chapters. - Jewel of the Demon Seal 2 - Aquaducts B3 - In Aquaducts B3, there is an elevator near the first save point. From the save point, head left and go left at the fork. Straight ahead is the elevator. Down at the bottom is a chest with the Jewel. However, you have to fight 30 Beetle Fiends to leave. - Spirit of the Devils 4 - Red Water Reservoir - Wall jump up to the top, then run around to the back of the room (behind you). Open the chest here. - Jewel of the Demon Seal 3 - Monk's Room - You can once again rob this man of his belongings after you reach the Flooded Underground area again. Go up the elevator and kill the three Spider ninjas. Read the diary and open the safe. Voila! All yours. - Jewel of the Demon Seal 4 - Muramasa Statue - Trade in 45 Golden Scarabs to Muramasa. - Jewel of the Demon Seal 5 - Hayabusa Village When you return, run back up to the rock with the crack in it. Pull out the Dabilahro or War Hammer and give that rock a good solid whack. Grab the Jewel that was hidden inside. - Jewel of the Demon Seal 6 - Inside the Pyramid - Run all the way to the bottom of the Pyramid and you'll find an altar and a mirror. However, examining the mirror only gets Ryu to say that something is strange about it. See the two unlit torches? Light em up, using Explosive Arrows or Ninpo. Either way, after they are lit, a blue glowing item will appear on the altar. Go on. Grab it! No Spirits/Jewels in these Chapters. SJD-H ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++b.
