Man this whole game is based on just wandering around in the jungle and making people's limbs explode. It's very frustrating and should have more waypoints and objective markers.

He's in a hut to the Southeast of the village. Proceed down the trail to the southeast of the village after squashing the pathetic VC sympathizing villagers' attempted insurgency. Disarm the tripwire hazard mid-way down the trail. Eliminate the VC guarding the hut. Enter the hut to discover the journalist and this mission is complete.
