what you do is go to vivec,temple and go to the big *** zigguraut(pyramad/shrine
thinggy)and on the stairs jump off to the left or right and where the water is coming out

all you need to do is look in all the lvls untill you find a seperate grate in the middle
go through read the shrine thingie and then save then drown in the water *NO JOKES*

u have to drain the water don't know how to. u have to drain the water in a certain order.
there are loose gates that go 1 through 5.

Once you get into the puzzle canal and get to the center where the shrine is that says
"breathe the waters of his glory and the path is made clear", you have to drown yourself
in the water and the blue force field preventing access into the canal will disappear.

to get past the blue force field you have to kill vivec. he has a unique dwenmer artifact.
use the to get through the force field. its the key

lol i didnt know how to get past the forcefield thingy thanks for the help, oh and i
killed Vivec btw. He ran when he was about to die ^_^

go in on the third floor, enter the central canal through another grate, than drown
yourself. you will black out for a second after your health is under 10 than have full
health. the forcefield will be open so go in there, give the silver longsword to the
dremora lord and continue by activating the shrine.

Do not kill vivec. That is a lie. What you do is you drown urself but when at 10 health
there woill be a rumble and your health will be restored. Then go across this new bridge
into the place with the dremora and give him the sword. Then pray at the alter and bam
done..
