However, this is not your average Counter Strike type of game. When doing missions you cannot simply just run and shoot, you have to take it one step at a time otherwise you'll find yourself being dead before the mission is over. This is a stealthy combat type of game. If you do decide to play the game as a run and shoot, you'll find yourself in a bit of trouble. Mainly because all you see on your screen is a reticule. What that is, is the approximate area where your bullet will fire. If you are standing up, you are a bit more tense than if you were crouching or laying down. Therefore, the reticule is going to be a bit more spread out if you are standing still than if you were laying down. When you move the reticule gets bigger, just like it would in real life. When you move you are not as accurate because when you walk you are going slightly up and down which affects your aim. The faster you walk the more spread out the reticule will be. What this game, in my mind, was really made for was Xbox LIVE. The game's storyline wasn't as good as the original's storyline but Xbox LIVE makes up for it. Even 10 months after it came out there are still many people playing on it. As you play on LIVE, your stats are automatically recorded and you can see where you rank as a Rifleman, Demo Expert, Support, or a Sniper against other people. And because new maps are being available for download about every 3 weeks, the replay value keeps on going up. This game takes place in 2010, two years after the original, where Fidel Castro is dead and a drug-funded warlord is trying to sabotage the first free election Cuba is holding in decades. You are the Ghosts, an elite team of U.S. Army Green Berets, and are being deployed to stop the warlord and let Cuba have their election in peace. ============================================================================== Table of Contents ============================================================================== To use the search key, simply press control + F to bring up the find box. I finished up the Multiplayer section and added a contribution. I also added fire rates to the Weapons section. I will occasionally update this guide if anything interesting appears in my mail but for the most part, this guide is finished. Version .94 ----------- Updated - 7/05/04 Notes - Second version of this guide. I finished the Elite walkthrough for the main missions and the downloaded maps. The guide also has a new command interface section in it. I spell checked the entire guide also to make it neater. After this version I will complete the multiplayer section and add little sections along the way if I feel they are needed. Version .92 ----------- Updated - 6/23/04 Notes - This is the first version of the guide. I have every section completed except for Campaign Mode, Downloaded Maps, and Multiplayer sections. Recruit and Veteran walkthroughs are completed for the first two of those of those and multiplayer is about halfway completed. Elite walkthrough will be coming in the next update in about a month along with the completion of multiplayer. ============================================================================== Controls gr_ctrl ============================================================================== This is the default control scheme. You'll learn the basics and will have a better understanding of the game. The reason why there is a section for all the difficulty levels is because enemies are in different places in each of the different levels and the strategies change. This is written assuming no one was injured or killed in every mission you completed. Save often and if you get injured or killed, load the saved mission. ============================================================================== Briefing ============================================================================== There is this section incase you didn't buy the game yet and want to see how the storyline goes. There will be no briefing for the walkthrough so refer to this section. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C01 - Watchful Yeoman ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Briefing -------- Punta Tabacal 06:30 03/20/10 Clear Skies "As you know, gentlemen, we are here to help safeguard the first election Cuba's seen since before Batista took control. Since Castro's death in 2006, the Cuban people have had a succession of increasingly incompetent thugs in charge, and thankfully, that's going to change. The elections are going to occur in early May, and our job is to make sure that they go without a hitch. What that means is that we've been volunteered to make sure the elements who want to bring back the bad old days don't get a chance to win the elections at gunpoint. Your first assignment is a basic contraband seizure. One of our patrol helicopters spotted a light cargo plane dropping a few suspicious looking crates over an abandoned tobacco plantation. The chopper crew was able to drive off the men who were moving the crates once they landed, but they need ground support to do the job properly. Seeing as the troops trying to haul those crates off look a lot like the guerillas who've been bullying voters in a few of the western cities, we're not taking any chances. Your orders are simple. You'll be inserted by helicopter on the plantation grounds. Once you're en route, the patrol chopper will peel off and leave ground troops to you. Take control of the old plantation buildings first, as that's what the guerillas are using for cover. Then, secure those packages by clearing out the troops around them. They'll probably make an effort to retrieve them once the helicopter leaves, so things will be happening in a hurry." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C02 - Angel Range ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Briefing -------- Pinar del Rio 19:30 04/03/10 Rainy Skies "Excellent work on the plantation, gentlemen. We were able to analyze the contents of those packages. As you might have suspected, they were chock full of guns. We don't know who dropped them off but we do know whom they were intended for. The troops you ran across are part of the paramilitary forces that we think are linked to the FDG - one of the parties standing a candidate for the election. Publicly, they're all about 'vote against the puppets of the American imperialists' but disavowing violence. Privately, they seem to be a little more aggressive than that. We've gotten reports that bands of these thugs have been going up and down the countryside, intimidating people into not voting and making things unpleasant for supporters of the opposition parties. The good news is, we've also managed to locate what we think is one of their training bases. It's up in the hills of Pinar del Rio, which means that getting a lot of troops there isn't easy. That's why you're going in. Your mission is to locate and neutralize the training camp. Take out the guard towers that cover the approaches, then seize the camp itself. Be careful. The troops inside may not be fully trained yet, but recon images show that there are a lot of them." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C03 - Jaguar Maze ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Briefing -------- Sierra de los Organos 11:20 04/12/10 Clear Skies "As you probably know, the camp in Pinar del Rio you hit wasn't the only one the FDG was using. We've been hitting other ones as we find them. Unfortunately, they've started to hit back. An MV-22 with a full complement of Marines on board was en route to neutralize a camp up in the Sierra de los Organos when it was shot down. Apparently the FDG's been able to get their hands on a good part of what used to be the Cuban Army's arsenal, since it looks like it was a good old fashioned Russian SAM that took the MV-22 out. The terrain you're going into is steep, rocky and difficult. It's also in the middle of nowhere, so anyone you run into is liable to be an FDG soldier. Your first priority once you hit ground will be the survivors. Find any you can and get them to safety. You're also going to need to find the sources of the SAM that took out the Osprey and eliminate it. Once you do that, we'll be able to send in a chopper and pick you up at the evac zone. However, until the SAM launcher is taken out, we're not going to risk another bird. If you can, pick up the USMC code books from the downed aircraft. We don't want those falling into enemy hands. Good luck, people." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C04 - Hidden Spectre ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Briefing -------- Isla de la Juventud 10:40 04/21/10 Foggy Skies "Buckle up people, people. You're going to Isla de la Juventud, a hundred miles south of the main island. Batista used it for political prisoners, but Castro turned it into a tourist trap. The beaches are nice, but half the island's still swamp, and guess what part you'll be seeing. The FDG's got an airfield right in the middle of one of those swamps, on the western side of the island. They've been using it for weapons transfers - the plane that dropped off those packages you recovered on the plantation flew out there - and to dabble in the drug trade. By shutting it down, we shut down one of their primary supply pipelines. You'll be inserted by boat on this one, so be prepared. Your two main objectives are the airfield itself and the ammunition storage dump nearby. Seize one and then plant the demolition charges to destroy the other. After that, get out as quickly as you can. With the way things are going on the main island, we don't expect the airfield is heavily guarded, but that's no guarantee." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C05 - Rapid Python ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Briefing -------- Matanzas Province 01:00 04/27/10 Cloudy Skies "Looks like morale's starting to drop on the other side. We're still getting reports of FDG squads hitting villages on the western side of the island, but we're seeing more defectors every day. With the elections coming up in less than a month, this is a good sign. The biggest turncoat is a man named Esteban Ordoņez, who until three days ago was a high-ranking official in the Priego presidential campaign. Priego's the FDG's candidate, and he's also the one calling the shots on the military side of things. Obviously, getting someone this close to Priego to switch sides is a tremendous break for us. The bad news is that we got a call from Ordoņez about twenty minutes ago. It seems that his assistant figured out that he was going to turn, and rattled him out. He ran for it with an armload of FDG documents, which he hid as soon as he was out of sight. Unfortunately, they caught up with him a few minutes later. We know this because he was literally on the phone with our people when they found him. We don't think he is dead, but that could change any minute. Your mission is to rescue Ordoņez and get those papers. Find where he hid the parcel, then find him and bring him back alive. Our first flyover of the region showed that they'd moved a BMP in, so you might want to take that out as well. Remember, they're not going to keep Ordoņez alive much longer, so there's real time pressure on this one. Best of luck to you, gentlemen. Now get to work." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C06 - Liberty Storm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Briefing -------- Cienfuegos 06:45 05/12/10 Clear Skies "Happy election day, people. We've got trouble. The polls don't open for another hour, but FDG sympathizers all over the country are already making a mess out of things wherever they can. We need every available soldier out there safeguarding voting centers, and that means you get to go along on this one, too. You'll be going to one of the worst trouble zones, a costal city called Cienfuegos. The FDG's got a lot of support there, and according to reports they've gunned down people heading for one of the main polling centers. Your job is to go in and safeguard that voting center and make sure people can actually get to it to vote. If they want to vote FDG once they get inside, fine. That's their choice. The point of is to make sure they all get that choice. Safeguarding the polling center is your highest priority. There are FDG forces in the streets all around it, so you'll have to keep an eye out in all directions. There are also reports that civilians have been taking hostage by the FDG. If that's the case, find those hostages and get them out of harm's way. Finally, you'll want to locate and knock out the local FDG command post. Remember, this: safeguarding these elections is why we're here. Everything else is secondary. Let's do this right." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C07 - Ocean Forge ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Briefing -------- Near Dimas 06:45 05/19/10 Cloudy Skies "Saddle up. This is a hot one. It turns out the FDG's drug connection was stronger than we thought. Priego is essentially owned by Colombian interests, and by Colombian interests I mean FRC. They were hoping that he'd assume power and turn Cuba into a depot for cocaine heading north into Florida. In the wake of the election results that's obviously not going to happen, so Priego asked his bosses for help. They sent a few boatloads of their troops to reinforce the FDG soldiers, and that's what we have to deal with right now. The FRC troops are hitting the beach near Dimas, and they're hitting it hard. We'll be able to get more troops there later, but right now you're all we've got. Disable the vehicle column the Colombian troops will be using to get off the beach, then hold the beach itself. The FRC soldiers will have FDG reinforcements coming in, so be prepared to be hit by a second wave. Finally, seize the jetties and any supplies the enemy's placed on them. They've set up a makeshift command outpost, complete with an automatic grenade launcher, on one of the jetties. Make sure you take that out as well." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C08 - Righteous Archer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Briefing -------- Sierra de los Organos 20:20 06/06/10 Rainy Skies "Priego's run out of allies and he's run out of room. We've rounded up most of the armed FDG supporters in the countryside and routed the FRC reinforcements. The big boys in Colombia have decided to cut their losses, which means that Priego's got nothing left. He's retreated to an old hilltop fortress in the Sierra de los Organos with the last of his supporters. You get the honor and the privilege of digging him out. The fortress is 1920s vintage, but it's situated on top of a steep hill and it's got well-placed external guard posts. Neutralize those guard posts and then take the fortress. Priego's inside, with the best of his elite guards. They won't be easy to dig out, but we want Priego alive. Dead, he becomes a martyr, and that's the last thing the new Cuban government needs. Make sure he doesn't escape. There's a helicopter pad behind the fortress complex, so you'll need to make sure he doesn't make a run for that. If he gets away, this whole mess has the potential to start all over again. You know what you have to do, people. Now let's go do it." ============================================================================== Recruit Level gr_camr ============================================================================== This is the easiest of the three levels that you can play the game through with. Enemies have a surprisingly horrible aim, and when I say horrible I mean horrible. They may go through 20 bullets before one hits you. Use this to your advantage if you are just starting to play this game as you can get a feeling what the enemies will be like in later levels. When you choose recruit level not only are the enemy soldiers easier to kill, but you have unlimited ammo in your primary and secondary guns. You don't have unlimited ammo in rocket launchers, grenade launchers, claymores, demo charges, and grenades. It is a good idea to take it slow and get your accuracy up because in the long run it will help you when there are over 4 enemies shooting at you at the same time. There will be a total of 30 enemies in each level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C01 - Watchful Yeoman ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Objectives ---------- 1. Seize Plantation 2. Secure Package 1 3. Secure Package 2 X. No Team Casualties ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It would be a good idea, just for this level, to use auto-assign to choose your team. Only this time because you do not have any unlocked characters to choose from and the auto-assign spreads out the 4 choices of soldiers fairly well. For the riflemen, you may want one person to have binoculars in the Alpha Team and one to have Binoculars in the Bravo Team. You don't need a silenced pistol for this level and you have unlimited ammo so you don't need extra ammo. For the two support experts, you may want to take Kit 7, mainly because of the sensors. Refer to the Weapons section if you don't know how sensors work. Having a person with sensors on each team will help you. For the Sniper I would suggest taking Kit 4 because of the grenades. You don't have to take my advice on what soldiers to pick throughout the walkthrough, but I'm just getting the beginners acquainted with the game. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ X. No Team Casualties --------------------- This should speak for itself. As long as you don't go running out shooting like crazy and not waiting for the reticule to become smaller when killing enemies, you should be fine. 1. Seize Plantation ------------------- At the beginning of every level I always save incase I mess up early. After you save the game, press the left trigger button to open up the satellite view of the area. You can clearly see the 3 marked spots on the map. If you press the right analog stick in you will see that the map will zoom in. Use the d-pad to move throughout the map. When you see one of the marked areas, you can see what is located there. Move to the northwest one and you will see plantation. That's where we are heading first. To the right of the plantation words you can see two faint images, images of houses. Move your cursor to the north of the north house and press the A button. You have marked out a path for your team to follow. Exit out of the map and follow Bravo. Follow the leader of Bravo (the names change everytime you choose a campaign so there's no way to distinguish between them) and before you go up the hill up ahead, he will start shooting. Open up your map and you will see two red circles on the map. That is where a enemy is that is visible to you. By the time you close your map your teammates will have eliminated the enemies. However if they did not, kill the enemies yourself. I would recommend opening your map before Bravo advances over the hill and move the left analog stick. This allows you to circle around some options on the map. Alpha is on the left side; Bravo is on the right side. Move your stick until "Advance ->" is highlight and press A until "Hold" is selected. Go down to where it says "Assault" for Bravo and change it to "Recon." Bravo will now situate themselves on the hill and you will see a truck coming from the south. When it stops, take out the driver and the passenger. Now proceed over the hill slowly while crouching and take out any enemies you can see in the distance and around the houses. When you can see no more, tell bravo to Advance and Assault and follow them to your destination. When you arrive at your destination (which should be near an uprooted tree) you may see a few more enemies. If you don't, head westward towards the plantation and they will be around the plantation. When you kill all the enemies around here, you will complete the objective. Save. 2. Secure Package 1 ------------------- After you save open up your map and go down to where it says Package 1. To the west of the building is a little pond of water. Make a path for anywhere in it and follow Bravo. Depending on if you killed these two before or not you may see two enemies in the open just walking. Take them out if you didn't before and proceed. When you get to the pond tell Bravo to Hold and Suppress. Now switch to your Support Expert in Alpha who has the sensors by pressing A when his name is highlighted. Close the map and proceed over to the building and place a sensor down. Go back to the pond and open your command map. Usually around this time you will see a soldier on the road to the south of you, pick him off and focus your attention to the warehouse. You will see three red circles inside of the warehouse. Bravo will handle the enemies on the road. Go to the south entrance to the plantation and lay down right to the side of the entrance (not the door). Face the wall and then peek to the right and take out any of the three enemies you see. When they are dead consult your map to see where the other(s) is. Now crouch and slight slide into the opening and take out the remaining enemy(s). Save. 3. Secure Package 2 ------------------- Open up your map after saving and look to the south of the warehouse you are inside of. You will see a field with stripes going horizontally. Make a path anywhere inside of it and follow Bravo. If Bravo didn't take out all the enemies on the hill (there should have been 3), kill them now. Going over the hill, you will see a shack below. There are two enemies in there, you can kill them by shooting through the windows or just waiting until they come out into the open. When they are killed the whole area is open. Proceed to your destination. Open up your map and look directly west of your final objective. You will see where a road proceeds south but you can't place a route into there. Go as much south as you can on the map and place a point there for Bravo to lead to. Follow Bravo around the wall and you will see a shack. Follow Bravo to their destination. Tell Bravo to Hold and Suppress and proceed to the west of the shack and look northwards into the field to the east. Any enemies you see here you should kill now while you have some shelter (the shack). You should see two enemies in the distance plus one to the east of the shack. Take the ones in the distance out first and then go around the shack and take out that enemy. By now Bravo might have seen the last enemies in this area but if not, search to the east or southeast for the remaining soldiers. Once you take out the soldiers in this area, you will complete the mission. Player Unlocked: Will Jacobs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C02 - Angel Rage ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Objectives ---------- 1. Neutralize Guard Tower 1 2. Neutralize Guard Tower 2 3. Seize Control of Camp X. No Friendly Casualties ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now since you unlocked Will Jacobs from completing the special objective from last mission, replace him with the Rifleman in Alpha that doesn't have the Binoculars out. Now, you may choose from his variety of guns as you please but I like the OICW with the binoculars for this level. Now choose everybody else like you were going to change their weapon and you'll see that everyone but Will Jacobs has a "point". Go up to the screen where it say Points = 01 and you will see that you can choose from W, S, E, and L. W stands for Weapons, how well your soldier can shoot his weapon. S stands for Stealth, how well your soldier can be seen by the enemy, the higher the better. E stands for Endurance, how many hits your soldier can take in before he dies. L stands for Leadership, how well your soldier can lead his team. You may choose whichever you please but I always choose Stealth and Endurance as my priorities. The same weapons you have from the last mission will be fine in this mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ X. No Casualties ---------------- Easy enough, just don't let one of your soldiers die and save often. 1. Neutralize Guard Tower 1 --------------------------- First off, open up your command map and switch to Will Jacobs as he is your best soldier at this time. Now look at the map and look towards the northeast part of it. You will see the first guard tower behind a long rock. Make a path to the left of the rock and follow Bravo. When you come near a patch of trees along your way, you will see a few enemies, usually three. Eliminate them and continue onward. When you get close to the rock, as soon as you see it actually, you will see enemies near the rock and near the camp. Make sure whoever is leading Bravo doesn't get killed because the enemies are spread out. When you feel it is safe, continue to your destination and save. Now open up your command map and plot a point right next to the guard tower. You will go around the rock to the north to get there. There will be two enemies you encounter on the ground as soon as the reach the hill and then you'll be fine until the guard tower. There won't be anyone on the ground so go over to the guard tower and save. Now proceed up the guard tower's steps and when you start reaching the top, crouch down. As you are going up look into the windows and you will see the lone soldier up there. Continue down to Bravo and save. 2. Neutralize Guard Tower 2 --------------------------- Open up your command map and plot a point in the nortwestern section on the map and follow Bravo. A little over halfway to your destination you will see an entrance to the camp and an enemy. Take him out and continue up into the hills. You will see the indicator turn red as there is an enemy nearby, only one. He should be on the upper side most side of the rocks and that's the way you are going. Take him out easily, go to the destination, and save. Now open your command map and go down to Guard Tower 2. Plot as point as far west of it as you can and follow Bravo once again. Your path should be as far west as possible. When you come to the hill going downwards you will see an enemy just standing there. Whoever is leading Bravo will most likely take him out but it doesn't matter. You will not encounter any more enemies along the way. When you see a shack, stay near the turn to the west and let Bravo continue to their destination, now save. Bravo will sit this one out but if you wish you may turn them to hold and suppress incase any enemies come close to them. Now go towards the shack while crouching. Before going into the shack, look across the guard tower and you will see a soldier using a stationary grenade launcher, take him out. Go into the shack and look out the east window. You can just barely make out two enemies, one standing near a stationary machine gun and one just standing there. Take them out and go out of the shack and go up the steps of the guard tower and take out the enemy up there. Before you even get up there your comrades will most likely dispose of the last soldier in the area. Now save. 3. Seize Control of Camp ------------------------ Meet back up with Bravo and open your command map to look at the camp. Zoom in so you can see how the building are arranged. Now plot a path for your team on the outside of the camp to the south and follow Bravo. You will see an enemy behind some stacked logs near the entrance. Take him out and save once Bravo gets in place at their destination. Bravo will also stay back for this part of the mission also. The entrance to the south is to the southwest, you can see it slightly if you zoom in on your map. Make your way towards there. Upon entering, head towards the right and you will see two soldiers eventually. Eliminate them and continue to the helipad. Save the game and switch to your demo expert now. Place a sensor in between the long building and the building next to it and place a sensor in between the two buildings to the west in the camp. This should give you the locations of all the soldiers in the area. Save the game wherever you are and switch back to Will Jacobs. The first building we will want to clear is the southwestern one. There are two enemies in there. I always use a personal strategy when entering buildings where I know enemies are in. Unless you have a grenade, you should always open the door from the side, never when it's right in front of you. Also, make sure your comrades cannot see inside as they most likely die before they can get a shot off. So before entering any doors take that into consideration. Now, stay to the left of the door and open it. Now lie down and peek to the right to take out the first soldier who is behind a desk. After some more shifting you should be able to take out the other guard as well. Now we are going to go into the western building from it's south entrance. Depending on where the enemy is (he moves around unlike the previous two) use that to your advantage on deciding when to enter. When you take him out, save the game. Now we are going into the southeastern house. This house has a balcony on the north side of it. You want to position yourself up there while your other two comrades are below. Open the door from the right and then lie down using the same strategy as before and you will have cleared that building out. Save the game and proceed to the west side of the eastern building. You can enter into the first door because the enemies are in another room. Proceed down the hall and you might see the door open to your left. This is always hard without having grenades because the door opens to the right instead of the preferred left. When you kill them, go outside and save. Now there is one last building left and two enemies are inside. Go to the western entrance and crouch down and enter. This is a fairly big building so you have some room to just open the door in front of you. Look on your map to se where they are located and soon they will be dead and the mission will be complete. Player Unlocked: Henry Ramirez ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C03 - Jaguar Maze ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Objectives ---------- 1. Neutralize SAM 2. Rescue Air Crew 3. Reach Extraction Zone X. Retrieve Code Book ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Since you unlocked Henry Ramirez, replace him with the support expert in Alpha. You can choose any gun you like for him, none of them are a bad choice as the first one is a silenced gun. Now replace the remaining Rifleman in Alpha (not Will Jacobs) with a demo expert. Make sure he has a M136, doesn't matter what gun he chooses. Everybody else's weapons are fine for now. Start the mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ X. Retrieve Code Book --------------------- We are going here first because our main priority are the survivors; the code book is on the way. Save your game and open the command map and you will see in the southwest direction the MV-22, that is where the code book is. Plot a path down near it for Bravo and follow them out. It would also be a good idea to switch to either Henry Ramirez or Will Jacobs. When you get to an opening where you can see a hill, look to the east and you will see two soldiers walking. Dispose of them and continue southward. When you come out of the cave continue south until you can see the downed aircraft. There will be enemies around the aircraft so don't be surprised. Once you kill the two soldiers, approach the aircraft and inside the aircraft you will see a purple book. Just simply walk through the aircraft and continue out of it south bound to pick it up. You will hear yourself say "they must've went east, let's hurry". Save the game. 2. Rescue Air Crew ------------------ Open your command map now. You should be right next to the aircraft so plot a point next to the closest objective, which is directly east of you. You will see the path go towards the south, follow Bravo. As soon as you enter the opening to the east of the aircraft, two enemies will start shooting. Take them out, using the rock for cover, and tell Bravo to advance. When you start to see the marines, there will be an enemy standing up a path to the left, or north, of you. Take him out and proceed to pick up the Marines. When you arrive at your destination, save. Now pick a team member in Bravo and proceed to touch both of the marines to make them follow you. Because you picked them up with Bravo, you won't be bothered when you're using Alpha team members. Now you must make your way southeast towards the extraction zone. Plot a point there and follow Bravo. You will see two enemy soldiers around where the rock is that you are heading towards. They will be easy to kill and proceed onward. When you make the turn around the rock, focus your attention to the northeast as you are moving. There will be one soldier there. That's the last of the soldiers for now, tell Bravo to hold once they get to the extraction zone and save. 1. Neutralize SAM ----------------- They hardest part of this mission is done, getting the air crew to safety. Now Bravo will stay back with the marines incase any wandering soldiers come into the area. Open your command map and see where the last objective lies. You don't have to plot a point because it's directly to the north. Take Will Jacobs and lead your Alpha team northwards as far east as possible. Approximately northeast of where you found the marines will be two enemies standing on a hill. Dispose of them and continue. Where you killed the last two enemies would be a good place to stay as far east as possible simply because you don't want to be seen that easily in the open. When you start to see a turn towards the east and a steep hill going up it, go up the hill and save here. You should be directly south of the SAM. Now switch to your demo expert and go around the rock that is south of the base and keep to the east as much as possible. You will only see one enemy in the tent area above so dispose of him and you should have a clear shot of the SAM. Remember two things when trying to launch a rocket, you cannot lie down and shoot a rocket and you can kill your teammate if they are directly behind you when the fumes start to come out. Keeping this in mind, aim slightly above the SAM and fire as the rocket is affected by gravity and will lower slightly. When it is destroyed, the objective will be complete. 3. Reach Extraction Zone ------------------------ Save the game and just start running south. You took out all the enemies around here so it will be a safe haven for you to go to the extraction zone. Player Unlocked: Klaus Henkel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C04 - Hidden Spectre ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Objectives ---------- 1. Seize Airfield 2. Destroy Ammo Dump 3. Reach Extraction Zone X. Neutralize All Opposition ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Since you've unlocked Klaus Henkel, I would recommend replace the demo expert in the Alpha team with him. Now you have your three unlocked characters so far in one team. Bravo will have to wait three more missions to be fully loaded with unlocked soldiers. Have Klaus Henkel carry demo charges with him. Now give all the team members from the previous mission their points in one of the four categories. When you are done preparing, proceed into the mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. Seize Airfield ----------------- This is our first objective. Save the game and open your command map. Plot a point as far east of the airfield as you can and follow Bravo. As you are going to your destination, you will see huts along the way. There are two enemies near these huts. Continue onwards once you dispose of them. Look to the west after you clear the huts to find an enemy soldier near the water. Continuing onwards you will see a downed helicopter. There will be a soldier to the north of that. Dispose of him and go to the destination along with Bravo. Save your game. Taking this airfield proves to be difficult. Switch to Will Jacobs and his OICW as it is the most powerful gun of the three in Alpha and continue onto the airfield going west. Stay as south as you can, on the airfield side of the wooden fence. When you come to the first oil drum, lie down and peek to the left of it and peek north. You will see a building that has a row of windows and some soldiers eventually coming out. Take them out and more will come from all the buildings on that side. It is hard to explain here in the FAQ so try taking them all out on your own. If you get a moment of peace, that is no firing of opposing weapons, save the game. You will eventually see two jeeps come into the airfield. Dispose of the enemies on the jeeps. After the enemies on the jeeps are gone, Head near the southwestern building and you will see that both of the doors opened, due to the excitement moments earlier. If you see no enemies in the building or as you go around it, this building is clear. Now head to the northwestern building. This seems like a small office building, if there are isn't an enemy in here, he came out during the fight. Save the game. Now head towards the building right next to the office building. If you see no enemies, clear. Now go to the next building, same procedure. Finally go to the last building on the airfield and if there is a soldier there (which there most likely is) he is the last one. Save the game. 2. Destroy Ammo Dump -------------------- You may still notice that you have an indication that there are enemies nearby because of the red indicator. They are below the airfield to the north. Plot a course for Bravo to the road above the Ammo Dump and rejoin them once you see them. There will be enemies down here so be wary of them and take them out. When you reach your destination, you can clearly see the Ammo Dump. Switch to your sniper who has his grenades since his first mission and save the game. Head over to the dump and when you get close enough to the door, throw about 2 grenades inside. Either the enemies will come out for you to shoot or they will die. There are only two soldiers inside and once they are killed, switch back to Klaus Henkel to plant the demo charges. Save. X. Neutralize All Opposition ---------------------------- In order to get another unlocked player, you must destroy all the enemies in this mission. Tell Bravo to go to the Extraction Zone as they will be no help at all. You should have very few enemies left, (2-4) and they are to the south of you. Choose Will Jacobs and proceed south until you meet them at the very south end of the map. Once you kill them, the mission will automatically complete itself. Player Unlocked: Jack Stone ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C05 - Rapid Python ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Objectives ---------- 1. Find Intelligence 2. Rescue Ordoņez 3. Reach Extraction Zone X. Destroy BMP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First of all, replace the sniper in Bravo with Jack Stone and give him kit 8 or 12, whichever gun you prefer. Now give everyone their points on whichever category you want. Have Klaus Henkel bring a kit with M136s equipped and everybody else should be fine. Will Jacobs and Henry Ramirez should still have binoculars and the remaining rifleman should also. It's a big map with a lot of open space. Your support expert should still have his sensors equipped. Proceed onto the mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ X. Destroy BMP -------------- We are going to do this objective first simply because it gets annoying. If you wait until the very end, it may go off the map depending on how long you take to complete the mission. So keeping this in mine, open your command map and look directly west of the BMP (which is in the northwestern corner). You can see the dark area where the river is that winds around the whole map. If you look directly southwest of the BMP, you can see the faint looking ledge that is there. Plot a point to the road that is next to it, to the left, and follow Bravo. Immediately leaving your little path you go up, you will see o lone enemy walk around to the north of you around the corner. Kill him and you will see another enemy walking around in the hill area to the east. You can leave Bravo for a second while you kill him; now join up with them again. When Bravo starts firing at enemies when Bravo is on a hill, tell Bravo to Hold and Suppress. They only have Jack Stone as an experienced soldier in their platoon and we don't need comrades dieing so soon. Finish the job yourself by going around the hill to the west and taking them out. There is also an enemy perched on that ledge I was telling you about earlier. When all are killed (you should have killed seven soldiers), save. Now tell Bravo to Advance and Assault and follow them to your destination. |
