Wallace and Gromit in Project Zoo Q&A

help! Wallace fixes machine then I try to shoot at the 3 targets here, however the banana gun or the porrige gun only seem to face down even standing up on the rail or up top of the rope bridge. The gun will not aim up!What am I doing wrong or am I missing a step?
