on the game call of duty 3 xbox 360 im having truble spoting artillery with the bonocolues for private baron i see the tanks but when i click the left stick the bonoclues dont show up on the screen so can some 1 plz tell me asap

I even changed the controller settings so that circle was the binoculars. Back in the game it said "press and hold circle for binoculars", but when I pressed and held circle nthing happened.
