Secret - Free stuff

by cGub Dec 18, 2008

There is a guy in Paradise Falls that walks up to you and gives you a random item. These items can be ammo, stimpacks, food, nuka cola, and caps. Once you know what he looks like (not by what armor he wears, b/c that changes, but facially), you can just walk up to him and keep talking to him for free stuff. If you can't find him inside, he is usually in the barracks. I got about 200-500 10mm rounds and shells, about 1000 5.56mm rounds, 100+ stimpacks, and alot of food in about 20-30 mintes.

The downside to this glitch(if it is indeed a glitch) is that you have to be evil to get into Paradise Falls, and that it is a lengthy process to get useful results.

Secret - Infinite XP

by cGub Oct 30, 2008

You can gain infinite XP if your speech skill is high enough.(My speech was about 30 at the time). Go to town called "Big Town" located north of Vault 101.If you spoke with a girl named Bittercup she should tell you about her dating exploits. After speaking with her, go into the house marked "Common House" and speak to a man named Pappy. There should be a speech skill dialogue option that says "You came here with Bittercup, right?" You will get XP every time you click it. (I got 6XP with each click). Continue to do this and you can rack up XP in mere seconds. Bethesda has not yet patched this glitch.

Glitch - Easy money for all levels

by Unregistered Sep 01, 2009

Shopkeepers normally rip you off blind, and you usually get angry 'cause of that.
Here's a way to get everything you want from a shopkeeper, and have more money than you started with.
1) Shopkeeper must have 2 similar items with different conditions.
2) Buy the cheaper of the 2 items.
3) Sell it back
4) Do this several times, because after about the 2nd or 3rd time, when you start buying it back, it will either have max repair, or 1/2 condition.
5) When you sell it back, it should earn you more money than you payed, 'cause if you aren't selling it back for more money than you bought, you're still getting ripped off.

Secret - Super Mutant Behemoths

by kingviper37 Jul 02, 2009

There are five total.

They can be very difficult to kill, as they are the most resilient enemy in the game. Usually when you encounter them they are being fought by a certain group such as the Talon Company, Brotherhood of Steel, or Raiders. These groups of soldiers will usually pack a punch on the Behemoth knocking off a good chunk of health for you to finish him off.

GNR

* The Behemoth right outside the entrance to the GNR Building is the easiest to find and is actually impossible to miss if you attempt Galaxy News Radio (quest). You will have ten Brotherhood of Steel members to back you up, though they are not invincible and and some may already be dead or die in the process. On a nearby fountain in the square you will also find a dead BoS member slumped on the fountain's rails in an almost picturesque position. The soldier will be in possession of a Fat Man and some Mini Nukes, which will be invaluable in bringing down the monster. However, keep in mind that the dead soldier will not be there if Sentinel Lyons isn't present in the battle.

Evergreen Mills

* In Evergreen Mills, the Raider-controlled train yard, a Behemoth has somehow been captured and imprisoned by an electric fence. However the fence's power source is simply a nearby generator. When approaching the area from the south the generator can be easily destroyed with any rifle (it should be noted that there is a switch to turn off the electric fence right next the the generator as well). Once the electric gate is turned off the Mutant will rush outside and attack the Raiders, killing most, if not all of them (most of whom are armed with nothing but 10mm Pistols). Because of gate that traps this monster, the raiders that occupy the train yard, and the cliffs that surround the area, the number of methods to deal with the Behemoths are almost endless.

Capitol Building

* A Behemoth can be found in The Capitol Building fighting Talon Company mercenaries at the west entrance. There is a considerable amount of fighting between Super Mutants and Talon Company so it's possible to sit back and watch the fun. You can also find a room next to the dome with the Behemoth containing a computer which, when hacked, will allow you to activate the turret system in the dome. There are several turrets that are activated by this command, so it'll likely make things much more interesting.

Takoma Park

* A Behemoth and several Super Mutants are located northeast of...
