Because if you don't know how to play guitar or just simply don't own one, then a Guitar simulation is for you. This game something that will teach you things Like Hammer-ons and Pull-offs and even Two hand tapping. While you play, you are going to hear some great songs, like 'Love in an Elevator' and 'Dream on'. Aerosmith is a great example of rock. We all knew the band and most of us know either Joe Perry of Steven Tyler. Joe Perry is really the one who needs to be recognized because of his amazing Axe shredding in such songs like 'Train Kept a Rollin'' and Joe Perry's very own, Guitar Battle. For the longest time Joe Perry has been showing off his Guitar Skills while showing off. Kind of like Slash. But it seems that Joe Perry had some Rock and Roll, Roll Models; they were People like Slash and Eddie Van Halen. Now just like them, he is now some one you can play in Guitar Hero. Actually, this game is mainly about him and his band. Every song here is either from Aerosmith, Someone who opened for Aerosmith, or by Joe Perry attempting his Solo career. /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ Rules to the Game /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ 2RTG /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Surprisingly, Guitar Hero is actually pretty complicated. Unlike the other games out there in Guitar Hero you half to already know everything in order to pass, unlike some other game where you just gradually learn attacks and combos. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Notes -=-= -=-= 2NTS -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Heres how it works, whenever one of these notes (colored circles) appear on the screen (for example green) then just hold down that fret button (key) and just strum on the strum bar. This is a Diagram of your guitar controller. ______ | | | | |_ _| |[]| |[]| |[]| |[]| |[]| | | | | | | | | ___| | __ | |_) \ | + | | O | \ | / | | | / \ \ | O O \ | \__________/ Every Controller has the following: Green Fret Button..........................................Hits the Green Note Red Fret Button..............................................Hits the Red Note Yellow Fret Button........................................Hits the Yellow Note Blue Fret Button............................................Hits the Blue Note Orange Fret Button........................................Hits the Orange Note Strum Bar...............................................................Strums Whammy Bar..................................Changes the Sound of the Long Note BACK Button..................................Second Way to Activate Star Power START Button.............................................................Pause D-pad...................................................................Scroll Xbox Symbol........................................Go to the Xbox Guide Button The Fret Board is the thing in the middle of the Screen, different colored notes come from each section: | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | _____ | _____ | _____ | _____ | _____ | | / \ | / \ | / \ | / \ | / \ | | | Green ||| Red ||| Yellow||| Blue ||| Orange| | | \_____/ | \_____/ | \_____/ | \_____/ | \_____/ | |---------------------------------------------------| | | When a Note comes to the "Fret Hole", then the colour needs to be hit on the fret board and it needs to be strummed. Now when a Long Note comes then hold the Fret down for the remainder of that time, that the long note is there. The Are also "Double Notes" and "Triple Notes". This is when you half to hold down two notes at once (or three, and on only one occasion a quad). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Rock Meter -=-= -=-= 2RMR -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is what makes you Lose in the game. The Rock Meter is on the right of the screen. It can go between three different colours, Green, Yellow and Red; Green - Good Performance - Hit almost all of your notes Yellow - Ok Performance - Hit a fair amount of notes Red - Bad Performance - Miss a lot of notes Flashing Red - About to Lose - Miss almost every note Obviously, if your rock meter is in the Green then the Audience will cheer, and if your Rock Meter is in the Red then the Audience will boo. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Star Power -=-= -=-= 2SPR -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Star Power is actually really important in this game. Star Power is a Glow of green energy that will make the game easier and better for you. Let me explain. When you play these notes with Stars on them you will soon notice that a lightning bolt will appear at the very last of that "Star Power Streak". By the time you do two complete Star Power Streaks then you will notice that a message will show up at the top of the screen saying "Star Power Ready". NOTE: If you miss or over strum in the Star Power Streak, then the Star Power streak will end and you don't get Star Power. Your Star Power tank is on top of the Rock Meter, there will be 3 light bulbs on top of it, when you get Star Power then there will be six light bulbs. Whenever you hit a Star Power Streak, it will go up by a light bulb and a half. You can get More Star Power by whammy long notes, you need to continuously Whammy that note until the its over. Star Power does two things at once; - Increases how much you Rock Meter goes up. - Doubles how many points you get. To activate Star Power tilt the Guitar upward so the head is facing the sealing. OR Hit the BACK button on the Controller. You Can use this is your Score meter is at X4, or if your Dieing and you need help. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Score -=-= -=-= 2SCR -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Your Score meter decides how many points you get when you play the song. Your Score meter is to the left, and it will be like this: ______________ ___|______________| (___| ______ | (___| / \ | (___| | | | (___| | | | (___| \/| | | (___| /\ \______/ | |______________| Heres how the Score Meter works. Heres how many points you get: Single Note - 50 Points Double Note - 100 Points Triple Note - 150 Points To get More points then you need to make the multiplier go up, to do that look at the little buttons on the side of the diagram, whenever you hit a note one of them will go up half way. by the time you hit all 12 notes to get it to the top you will be at the X2 multiplier. It can only go up to the X4 multiplier This is a Chart of the Note points with the Multipliers on: X2 Single Notes - 100 Points Double Notes - 200 Points Triple Notes - 300 Points X3 Single Notes - 150 Points Double Notes - 300 Points Triple Notes - 450 Points X4 Single Notes - 200 Points Double Notes - 400 Points Triple Notes - 600 Points NOTE: When you miss or over strum, then the Multiplier will start over from 0 again. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Hammer-ons and Pull-offs -=-= -=-= 2HAP -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= No solo is possible without Hammer-ons and Pull-offs. What a Hammer-on is, it's basically when you strum on a note and the Vibration of the note is still going, from there you can "Hammer on" onto another note or "Pull off" of another. Regular notes (Green note is the Example) are usually Green, White and Black. The Green is at the Bottom and the White is at the top and there's a black ring between the two colours. But a Hammer-on doesn't look like that, a Hammer-on is Green and White. The Only difference is that there is no black ring. Hammer-ons and Pull-offs aren't that hard to do, but if you need more help, then check out the tutorial. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Battle -=-= -=-= 2BTL -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Battle, this shows who's the real Guitar God. Here are the Battle rules: Instead of Star Power there's Battle Power, Every battle Gem will release a Cheat the can attack your opponent and make them miss. You must make your opponent miss before you do and before the end of the song. Song you just collecting Battle Gems and trying to make your opponent fail. Here are the Cheats: Difficulty-up ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Increases the Difficulty on the note chart. (Only available on Easy, Medium and Hard) Lefty Flip ~~~~~~~~~~ Turns your note chart into Lefty Flip mode for a While. Double Notes ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Makes every single note into a Chord (Double Note or Triple Note) Broken string ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A string on your Guitar Will break and you must continuously tap that fret until the broken string is gone. Whammy ~~~~~~ Your Guitar Will break, you need to continue to whammy on the whammy bar until you fix your guitar. Amp Overload ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Makes the notes harder to see for a short period of time. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= After beating a Song -=-= -=-= 2ABS -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Once you finally beat a song there will be a Magazine that appears. On the front cover it will show you're player (in there right outfit, but guitar may varry). It will also show the percentage of notes you hit and what rating you got (out of Five Stars). It will also show what song you did and in what difficulty. It will also show the Score you got. When you go down to 'More Stats' then it will say how many nots you hit (and the total amount of notes in the song), how many Star Power Phases you it, and What you adverage Score Multipliers was. At the bottom it will also show all the sections in the song and what percentage of those notes you hit. Once you exit you get to right down your High Score and then later exit. When you see that song that you did it will show the rating you got and the highest score you got. NOTE: If you get 100% in a song then the rating will be with Gold Stars in stead of stars wrighten with a pencil. If you're desprite when it comes to getting Five Stars then here's how the system works. When your score meter reaches a certain number, then you get a certain rating based of that. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Options, Menu -=-= -=-= 2ONM -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This will show you what the options in the options menu are for. ____________ | | | Cheats | |____________| The Cheats will affect the way the game is played, either making it easier, or making it harder. I will explain the Cheats in the Cheats section of my guide: 8CHT ___________ | | | Audio | |___________| This determines the volume of the Band, Guitar and FX (everything else). ___________________ | | | Calibrate Lag | |___________________| If you have an HDTV then sometimes the video will have problems, if so then calibrate it. ________________ | | | Controller | |________________| If you want to go into lefty flip (that when then notes are set up like this:) ORANGE | BLUE | YELLOW | RED | GREEN So its for lefties. Choose if you want it for player 1 (you) or player 2 (if in co-op). You can also calibrate the Whammy bar. What this will do is it will change the avalible whamming speed, just calibrate it using the instructions and test it out on some long notes. If it doesn't work for you then just Calibrate it again. _________________ | | | Manage Band | |_________________| If you want to get rid of a band (for career mode) or change the bands name, then this is where you go. _______________ | | | Save/Load | |_______________| This is if you want to change your storage device (either to the Hard Drive or to a Memory Stick). ____________ | | | Videos | |____________| If you want to watch any video from either Career mode or from the ones at the store, then come here to see them. _______________ | | | The Vault | |_______________| This is like the store; you can enter either by going into career mode, or by going here. _________________ | | | Top Rockers | |_________________| These are the High score tables from both Career mode and Quickplay. /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ Difficultys /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ 3DFY /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ There are four difficultys that you can choose from to play in. Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert; I will now explain what all the options are about. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Easy -=-= -=-= 3ESY -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Notes used: Green, Red and Yellow Amount of notes: Not a lot Track Speed: Very Slow Amount of Double notes: Almost none This is the easiest difficulty in the whole game (I guess thats why they call it easy). If you're a beginer at the game then this difficulty is for you, it doesn't require a lot of skill to master or to get 100%. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Medium -=-= -=-= 3MDM -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Notes used: Green, Red, Yellow and Blue Amount of Notes: A small amount (a bit more then Easy) Track Speed: Slow Amount of Double Notes: A small amount This is also an easy difficulty. Many people can get up to medium without trying easy mode first, you will have almost no trouble going from easy to medium. The fact that there are only four notes makes it very easy to move your hands and hit notes, and the amount of Double notes makes you get use to them without forcing them on you. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Hard -=-= -=-= 3HRD -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Notes used: Green, Red, Yellow, Blue and Orange Amount of notes: A lot Track Speed: Fast Amount of Double Notes: A lot This will mess you up! There is a big jump from Medium to Hard. Having to use all five buttons will mess you up a bit (to learn how to get use to it type in 10GMH in the search box that will come up when you hit Ctrl-F). Now there is also a lot more notes compared to Medium mode so that will also mess you up. As well, there are a lot of Double Notes and even Triple notes in some of these songs, which will half to make to your hand posioning perfect to get use to this. Most people are able to get up to Medium but will not be able to get up to Hard mode. In the end, there is a HUGE jump from medium to Hard mode. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Expert -=-= -=-= 3EXT -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Notes used: Green, Red, Yellow, Blue and Orange Amount of notes: An insane amount Track Speed: Very fast Amount of Double Notes: A lot For all you hard core experts out there, this level is for you. There are so many notes in this song that you will like there making up some of the notes (which they are). It will take a lot of practice to get up here and you still might fail a couple times. /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ Career Mode /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ 4CRM /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Career mode is a way to unlock new songs, charactors, guitars and much more! These all require money to get. the way to get money is to beat a song in career mode (on any difficulty) and based on your rating you will get some money, you will get a very low amount if you play an easy mode song even if you get five stars, but you will get a very high amount in expert. So basiclly what this is, its a way to get things for the game to make it seem cooler or more interesting for you to play. You can buy: Extra Outfits and Styles for your character, Extra characters (DMC and Joe perry need to be unlocked first) Extra Songs Extra Guitars (Lead, Bass and Rythme) Bonus Videos Finishes (this allows you to change the colour of a certain guitar. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Song List -=-= -=-= 4SGL -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= In career mode there are certain area's that your in and three types of ways that you play the songs. every area has five songs with two openers, two Aerosmith songs and one encore. Opener - These songs are not by Aerosmith, instead they are made by someone who opened for Aerosmith and that is the song that was used. Aerosmith - These songs are actually from Aerosmith. Encore - This is the final song you play before you leave the aera. This is one of many of Aerosmith's hits. Leave - If you don't want to bring on Aeromsith or play an Encore then you can go down to leave and just move on to the next aera. Ok so heres the order of the songs: (Yes, this is for all difficultys) Getting the Band together Nipmuc High Opener - Dream Police (Cheap Trick, 1979) Opener - All the Young Dudes (Mott the Hoople, 1972)* Aerosmith - Make It (Aerosmith, 2007) Aerosmith - Uncle Salty (Aerosmith, 1975) Encore - Draw The Line (Aerosmith, 1977) First Taste of Success Max's Kansas City Opener - I Hate Myself For Loving You (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, 1988) Opener - All Day and All of the Night (The Kinks, 1964)* Aerosmith - No Surprise (Aerosmith, 1979) Aerosmith - Movin' On (Aerosmith, 2007) Encore - Sweet Emotion (Aerosmith, 1975) The Triumpant Return Orpheum Theatre Opener - Complete Control (The Clash, 1977) Opener - Personality Crisis (New York Dolls, 1973)* Aerosmith - Livin' on the Edge (Aerosmith, 1993) Aerosmith - Rag Doll (Aerosmith, 1987) Encore - Love in an Elevator (Aerosmith, 1989) International Superstars Moscow Opener - She Sells Sanctuary (The Cult, 1985) Opener - King of Rock (Run DMC, 1985) Aerosmith - Nobodys Fault (Aerosmith, 1976) Aerosmith - Bright Light Fright (Aerosmith, 1977) Encore - Walk this Way (Run DMC) (Run DMC Feat. Joe Perry -=-= -=-= 4BVJ -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is a battle between you, and one of the greatest guitar players ever! Heres how the battle works; Joe Perry has come up with a song that both of you play at different times or even at the same time. You battle Joe Perry between Sex Type Thing and Mama Kin. Now, beleive it or not, he's actually pretty easy. Sometimes he activates cheats when you not even playing, or he'll activate something like Double notes during one of your really long notes and it will just end up being wasted. He's not as difficult as Lou from Guitar Hero 3 but he's a little harder then Slash. He's also the only Person you battle in the game, unlike Guitar Hero 3 where you battle Tom, Slash and Lou. Joe's main weakness is Amp overload. when you hit him with it he'll only hit about 1/6 notes which should finish him off quickly. He's also pretty weak when it comes to Whammy, he fixes the Whammy quite slowly and it will take him a while to start hitting notes again once he fixes it. He's pretty good when it comes to Broken String and Lefty Flip but other then that, every hit is basiclly faitle. After all that, I still feel like iI should make a faq for him: ==== Easy ==== All you half to do is wait up to the very end and hit him with either Whammy or Amp overload as well as one other cheat as soon as those are finished. ====== Medium ====== Same as easy, just wait till the end and hit him with two or three cheats (especally Amp Overload) and he'll be dead at the end in no time. ==== Hard ==== Combos, if you hit him with two cheats during one of his solos then his rock meter will in the red. Then during his next solo hit him with another cheat and thats all you need to do to kill. ====== Expert ====== If your good at surviving cheats, then this will be no problem at all. In expert, Amp overload is literally faital during one of his solo's. So if you hit him with it and then just hit him with one more and thats it, no really, thats all you need to do. If your good enough to get up to the end then all you need to use is Amp Overload and he'll die. Surviving the attacks is the hardest part of the whole battle, so here are some little hints to help you out. Difficulty-Up ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Would it kill you to try Expert once in a while? In you get better at hitting the Orange Button, playing Triple and Double notes and even tapping hammer-ons then you will get better at the battle. - For Hammer-ons and Pull-offs, Try Train Kept a Rollin' - For the Orange note part try Practicing All Ways on the Run - For the Double Notes Part Try All Day and All of the Night. (All song recommendations are in Expert) Broken String ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Learn to tap frets really fast. If you get Broken String on Red note then continue to play the song but don't strum on the red note. Or play the song like there chords, so you're pressing down on the Red and making it lower while playing the Song. A Great time to fix a Broken String is to continue to play the song and if a Long Note comes up the fix it there. Amp Overload ~~~~~~~~~~~~ This isn't that hard of a cheat to get around. just pay all your attention to the fret board instead of your opponents fret board, your Rock Meter, your opponents Rock Meter or anything else that going on in the screen. Whammy ~~~~~~ Learn to hold the whammy bar while your Strumming, Use your thumb to Strum while your other four fingers (that are most likely hanging down) are near the Whammy. Or if you want to strum up and down and do it, then just have your thumb and index finger on the strum bar, mean while your other fingers are hanging down near the Whammy Bar. Lefty Flip ~~~~~~~~~~ When it comes to Solo's, try hitting random notes, so your Rock Meter won't go down as much. Your going to mainly want to try a couple of songs with the lefty on. Keep practicing until you think you can pass it, a good way to prove that you've master lefty. Ways to Practice and think about it would be to do everything in Reverse or only play by colour, this is one of the harder cheats to get by. Double Notes ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Double notes Is actually REALLY hard, It gets rid of all the Hammer-ons and replaces them with Double Notes. Try the Songs All Day and all of the Night and Dream on to practice Double Notes. Other Then that I haven't completely figured this Attack out yet. If you want to practice the song then try beating it in any tour, then it will automaticly unlock as a playable song. First try beating it, then try beating it without Star Power (because there is no Star Power in battles). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Bonus Songs -=-= -=-= 4BSG -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= These are all the Bonus songs in the game, they can all be bought in the store for $500 or they can be unlocked (if there unlocked a certain way then I will tell you that and how to unlock them). If you in Career Mode or Quickplay then hit the blue to see the Bonus List. Every Bonus song is either by Aerosmith or Joe Perry. There are four different game play options, and here they are. But first, when you go down to 'Multiplayer' you will choose if you want to be on the left side (known Player 1) or the right side (known as Player 2). Once that is choosen, you can pick the option. Then you pick the player and the guitar you want as well as where you want to play. After you choose which song you want to play (out of all the songs you've unlocked or bought). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Co-op -=-= -=-= 5COP -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The fact that there is a co-op option in this game, basiclly makes it like every other game ever made, and there shold be no surprises that there is one. In Co-op yo choose to either be Lead or Rythme (or Guitar and Bass, if it's not an Aeromsith song). When your picking you charactors you can swicth between the Lead guitars and the Bass guitars. This is what yo expect of a Guitar Hero co-op to be like. In the middle, there is a Rock meter and a Multiplier, and at the top of the screen there is a Score Meter. In co-op there is no Singer (that is visible) but you will here him/her singing. Since co-op is between the guitars that means you will most likely hear the Lead and Rythme Guitarist's (or the Guitarist's and Bassist's), but you won't be able to hear the Drummer and the Singer as clearly. Once you finally beat a song, it will say what Percent you got, what Rating you two got, what Score you guys got and what your highest note streak was. If you guys go down to More stas then it will show How many notes you guys hit, how many Star Power Phases you guys got and what the adverage multiplier was. And at the bottom it will say all the sections in the song and the percentage of notes where hit in that song. Now, you do have the option of play two different difficulties if your partner isn't as experenced. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Face-off -=-= -=-= 5FOF -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= In this part ou and your partner play a song and you two can pick two different difficultys, but instead of working as a team your facing each other (thats why its called a face-off). Instead of a Rock meter in the middle you have a 'Score Counter', what this is, is it's basiclly counter you scores to choose a winner. When player 2's score is getting higher then the arrow in the middle will go to his side. Unlike the Score Meter and and Multiplier in the middle, here you each have you own Multipliers. Now, when you try to play a song, you'll notice something strange. That is the fact that you play at two different times (sometimes the same). So when your not playing, your opponent is playing. When you beat your opponent or you oppenent beats you, you will then see what the magazine set up in a different way; It will show the song but it will also say Player 1 - (Difficulty) and Player 2 - (Difficulty). Then it will say the scores and what percentage of notes was hit When you go to 'More Stats' it will show both your 'Notes hit', Star Power Phases hit, Adverage Multiplier number and at the bottom it will say the section and the percentage of notes hit. NOTE: In Face-off mode you can't die, since there is no Rock Meter. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= -=-= Pro Face-off -=-= -=-= 5PFO -=-= -=-= -=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is just like Face-off Mode, only instead of play at two different times, you play at the same time. This is basiclly just like Face-off Mode and everything's the same (like the two seperate Score Multipliers and the Score meter in the front), and again, the only difference is that you play at the same time. Unlike in the other options, both players must play in the same difficulty. Just like in Face-off mode, you can't die because there's no rock meter. Other then that, theres nothing else I can say that I hav'nt said in the the Face-off option. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-= -=-= |
