These plants are a support for Fossil Fish and Gray Fossils. Physical attacks are preferred, as they can use Jamming, which slows down your magic casting time. Make sure you have Anti-Poison equipped; their poison and virus spells can nail you fairly hard. Fire immunity or Fire resistance can help too, as they sometimes cast All-Flarus. Achilles’ heel: Hardened Killer Rings -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Aqua Sphere HP: 270 Type: None Element: Water Where To Find: Sea of Baus When you can encounter: During the Grand Staff Investigation (Disk 1) Sp Given: 1 Gold Given: 70G Normal Steal: Magic-Luring Stone Rare Steal: n/a Drop 1: Sticky Tape Drop 2: Cold Water Stone Drop 3: n/a Drop 4: n/a Enemy Skills: Aqua, Sleep, Fast Cast Susceptibility to Blind----: n/a Susceptibility to Curse----: n/a Susceptibility to Dizzy----: n/a Susceptibility to Kelolon--: n/a Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Petrify--: n/a Susceptibility to Poison---: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Seal-----: n/a Susceptibility to Sleep----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Terror---: n/a Susceptibility to Toxin----: n/a Susceptibility to Virus----: n/a The Strategy: Use Earth Spells, Status Ailments, Physical Attacks, This guy ------------- goes down with anything. Absorb Attack and Lucky 0 ------------ Magic Damage are good ones. Kaim should wear the Spartan Ring or ------------ other Mechanical Killer Rings. Sarah should equip Spirit Magic if ------------ you know Gamble, or Black Magic if you don't. The Strategy: You only have Kaim and Sarah for this one. He's in the front, ------------- she's in the back row. Have Kaim attack with Mechanical Killer ------------- rings until Boss uses Protection, then switch to magic until it ------------- dissipates. Have Sarah use Power/a/us on Kaim, then chuck Gamble ------------- or Black Magics at Boss. All in all, 5,500 HP isn't too much to ------------- take down, just make sure you equipped defensive skills and then ------------- stay on the offensive. Achilles’ heel: Gamble, Strong Magic, Mechanical Killer Rings. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Baballoon HP: 5,350 / 7,200 Type: None Element: Fire Where To Find: Temple of Enlightenment When you can encounter: Any Time Sp Given: 1 Gold Given: 180G Normal Steal: Draining Stone Rare Steal: Death Powder Drop 1: Purgatory Ore Drop 2: Dark Demon Note Drop 3: Forbidden Explosive Drop 4: n/a Enemy Skills: Huge Poison Explosion, Resurrect (Only Back Row Foes Cast This) Susceptibility to Blind----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Curse----: Immune Susceptibility to Dizzy----: Immune Susceptibility to Kelolon--: Immune Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Immune Susceptibility to Petrify--: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Poison---: Immune Susceptibility to Seal-----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Sleep----: Immune Susceptibility to Terror---: Immune Susceptibility to Toxin----: Immune Susceptibility to Virus----: Immune The Strategy: Though strong, he can be rendered passive. Cast Seal, cast ------------- stone, and two turns later, he falls to the ground. Be careful ------------- while you wait though, his Explosion can damage you greatly. ------------- Equip Fire Nullifying skills to counter this. In turn, Fire ------------- skills will cause him to Self-Destruct on the next turn. Achilles’ heel: Seal/Petrify -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Baballoon - Backyard Battle Class------: Super Heavy Battle Name: Ah, Fireworks Forever! HP: 5,760 Type: None Element: Fire Enemy Skills: Flarus, All-Flarus, Mindus, Huge Poison Explosion Susceptibility to Status Ailments: The Strategy: Fire Magic for the win! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Baddy HP: 6,900 Type: Spirit Magic Element: Earth Where To Find: Temple of Enlightenment When you can encounter: Any Time Sp Given: 1 Gold Given: 250G Normal Steal: Ultra Paralysis Fluid Rare Steal: Paralyzing Thorn Drop 1: Roaring Iron Claw Drop 2: Paralyzing Thorn Drop 3: Sealing Stone Drop 4: Mother Nature's Spirit Enemy Skills: Speeda, All-Rise, Reversa. This ------------- guy always appears with "Gate Keeper", and always stays in the ------------- back row. He is a Spirit Magic Support Mage. Try to kill him ------------- when he gets low on life, or Reversa can hurt you pretty bad. ------------- Spirit Magic Killer Rings are nice. Achilles’ heel: Poison/Virus/Toxin -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Balloon HP: 430 / 370 Type: None Element: Fire Where To Find: Crimson Forest When you can encounter: Any Time Sp Given: 4 Gold Given: 90G Normal Steal: Flare Bomb Rare Steal: n/a Drop 1: Magma Fragment Drop 2: Magic-Luring Stone Drop 3: n/a Drop 4: n/a Enemy Skills: Huge Explosion, Resurrect Susceptibility to Blind----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Curse----: Immune Susceptibility to Dizzy----: Immune Susceptibility to Kelolon--: Immune Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Immune Susceptibility to Petrify--: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Poison---: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Seal-----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Sleep----: Immune Susceptibility to Terror---: Immune Susceptibility to Toxin----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Virus----: Vulnerable The Strategy: Let them explode! They just love going Boom! If there are more ------------- than one in a party, another may try to Resurrect a fallen one, ------------- but Water Spells and quick Physical attacks will stop this from ------------- happening. Watch out, the Explosion does damage to all party ------------- members! Achilles’ heel: Themselves! They love exploding! Author's Note: This enemy appears at a higher level in certain areas here, hence, the multiple HP stat. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Balloon - Backyard Battles Class------: Medium Battle Name: Fireworks Night HP: 1,370 Type: None Element: Fire Enemy Skills: Flarus, Flare Mine, Huge Explosion Susceptibility to Status Ailments: Immune to all The Strategy: Fire Magic for the win! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Behemoth HP: 4,520 Type: Beast Element: Earth Where To Find: Ice Canyon When you can encounter: Any Time Sp Given: 2 Gold Given: 1,000 Normal Steal: Frontier Siderite Rare Steal: n/a Drop 1: Quality Iron Sand Drop 2: Nutrition of the Earth Drop 3: Beat Stone Drop 4: n/a Enemy Skills: Rage, Blizzard Susceptibility to Blind----: Immune Susceptibility to Curse----: Immune Susceptibility to Dizzy----: Immune Susceptibility to Kelolon--: Immune Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Immune Susceptibility to Petrify--: Immune Susceptibility to Poison---: Immune Susceptibility to Seal-----: Immune Susceptibility to Sleep----: Immune Susceptibility to Terror---: Immune Susceptibility to Toxin----: Immune Susceptibility to Virus----: Immune The Strategy: He counters physical attacks with Rage, which raises his attack ------------- power, so stick with magic unless you can really mess him up ------------- with a strong physical. Wind magic is the way to go. Make sure ------------- you use Shield and Barricade magic to defend against him, as he ------------- can hit extremely hard with Attack and Blizzard. Achilles’ heel: Strong Wind Magic -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Bela HP: 1,660 Type: Aerial Element: Fire Where To Find: Snowfields of the Northern Land Specific Location: Snowfields of the Northern Land When you can encounter: Any Time Sp Given: 2 Gold Given: 200G Normal Steal: Phoenix Tail Rare Steal: Vampire Bottle Drop 1: Wyvern's Sharp Claw Drop 2: Draining Stone Drop 3: Adamantine Ore Drop 4: Ancient Statue Enemy Skills: Fast Cast, Gall Wing, All-Aquaus, Generatus Susceptibility to Blind----: Immune Susceptibility to Curse----: Immune Susceptibility to Dizzy----: Immune Susceptibility to Kelolon--: Immune Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Immune Susceptibility to Petrify--: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Poison---: Immune Susceptibility to Seal-----: Immune Susceptibility to Sleep----: Immune Susceptibility to Terror---: Immune Susceptibility to Toxin----: Immune Susceptibility to Virus----: Immune The Strategy: A strong Aerial enemy. Aerial Killer rings work nicely, as does ------------- Stone. Water spells if you like using Magic. Achilles’ heel: Stone (Petrify) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Big Guana HP: 2,940 / 2,840 Type: Beast Element: Fire Where To Find: Burning Cave When you can encounter: Anytime Sp Given: 2 Gold Given: 300G Normal Steal: Mother Nature's Spirit Rare Steal: Mist of Darkness Drop 1: Blinding Powder Drop 2: Dark Flame Drop 3: Beat Stone Drop 4: Paraweed Thorn Enemy Skills: Fire Breath (All-Fire Damage, All-Blind), Power Crush Susceptibility to Blind----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Curse----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Dizzy----: n/a Susceptibility to Kelolon--: n/a Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Petrify--: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Poison---: Immune Susceptibility to Seal-----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Sleep----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Terror---: Immune Susceptibility to Toxin----: Immune Susceptibility to Virus----: Vulnerable The Strategy: He is the King of the Guana, and appears in battles with other ------------- Guana or Seagulls. Yeah, you can use Water magic and Beast ------------- Killer Rings, but like his brethren, he can be Solidified with ------------- Stone in 2 turns. Achilles’ heel: Petrify -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Big Owl HP: 550 Type: Aerial Element: Wind Where To Find: Ipsilon Mountains When you can encounter: Any Time Sp Given: 1 Gold Given: 100g Normal Steal: Healing Medicine Rare Steal: n/a Drop 1: Wind Seal Leaf Drop 2: Sharp Beak Drop 3: n/a Drop 4: n/a Enemy Skills: Wind (Can cast twice at Critical HP) Susceptibility to Blind----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Curse----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Dizzy----: n/a Susceptibility to Kelolon--: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Petrify--: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Poison---: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Seal-----: Immune Susceptibility to Sleep----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Terror---: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Toxin----: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Virus----: Vulnerable The Strategy: Fire beats Wind. Beat him up and throw some flames! Achilles’ heel: n/a -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Black Kelolon HP: 16,520 Type: Kelolon Element: Water Where To Find: Temple of Enlightenment When you can encounter: Any Time Sp Given: 3 Gold Given: 50G Normal Steal: Death Powder Rare Steal: Kelolon Heart Drop 1: Adamantine Ore Drop 2: Kelolon's Soul Drop 3: Glacial Ice Drop 4: n/a Enemy Skills: Prismus, Lightning Strike, Payback, Kelolon Rush Susceptibility to Blind----: Immune Susceptibility to Curse----: Immune Susceptibility to Dizzy----: Immune Susceptibility to Kelolon--: Immune Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Vulnerable Susceptibility to Petrify--: Immune Susceptibility to Poison---: Immune Susceptibility to Seal-----: Immune Susceptibility to Sleep----: Immune Susceptibility to Terror---: Immune Susceptibility to Toxin----: Immune Susceptibility to Virus----: Immune The Strategy: Paralyze the little bugger before he wipes you out! He is not a ------------- weak enemy. Kelo-Killer Rings will help you out a lot. Beware ------------- of "Payback", as the damage of this ability is multiplied by the ------------- number of Kelolon's you have killed. If you loose more than half ------------- of your HP, he will use Kelolon Rush, which is a Triple-Attack ------------- and is very capable of killing any character. Stay healthy! ------------- Barricade/a/us and Shield/a/us are suggested, as is Cover/a/us. ------------- One great thing about this enemy is that he always levels you up. ------------- Equip all Absorb-Skills that you have (Elemental, Physical, ------------- Magic, Attack). Attack and Heal every turn and you will win. Achilles’ heel: Paralyze, Kelo-Killer Rings -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Bloody Bat HP: 900 Type: Aerial Element: Wind Where To Find: Forgotten Cave When you can encounter: Any Time Sp Given: 1 Gold Given: 1,000G Normal Steal: Blood Cloth Crystal Rare Steal: Cape of Illusions Drop 1: Living Brass Drop 2: n/a Drop 3: n/a Drop 4: n/a Enemy Skills: Their attack may carry the Absorb HP effect. They aren't much of a ------------- threat. Achilles’ heel: Fire Rings, Aerial Rings -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Body of Thought ( A / B / C / D ) / Old Sorceress - BOSS HP: ( 1,550 / 1,550 / 1,550 / 1,550 / 1,100) Type: Magic Element: Earth, Fire, Wind, Water (Changes randomly each turn) Where To Find: In the basement of the Old Sorceress' Mansion. When you can encounter: During your visit to the Old Sorceress' Mansion, Disc 2 Sp Given: 0 Gold Given: 0 Normal Steal: n/a Rare Steal: n/a Drop 1: n/a Drop 2: n/a Drop 3: n/a Drop 4: n/a --- Enemy Skill Breakdown Physical Attacks: None Magical Attacks: Envy, Enrage, Grudge, Lament Status Attacks: Scream Counter Attacks: Elemental-Affinity Bound --- Susceptibility to Blind----: Immune Susceptibility to Curse----: Immune Susceptibility to Dizzy----: Immune Susceptibility to Kelolon--: Immune Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Immune Susceptibility to Petrify--: Immune Susceptibility to Poison---: Immune Susceptibility to Seal-----: Immune Susceptibility to Sleep----: Immune Susceptibility to Terror---: Immune Susceptibility to Toxin----: Immune Susceptibility to Virus----: Immune Preparation: To make this battle incredibly easy, go get Gamble magic in Tosca ------------ village. If you have that, you will win this battle in appx. 2 ------------ turns. It is the prize for winning the Kelolon Wreath Minigame. ------------ One thing to remember, you won't be attacked during this battle, ------------ so going on the offensive means everyone in the front row. Choose ------------ characters with the highest Magic Attack stat. I always leave ------------ Kaim out of this battle. That leaves Seth, Ming, Jansen, Cooke, ------------ and Mack. Equip everyone with an accessory or skill that grants ------------ Black Magic (the higher level, the better), and/or spirit magic ------------ Level 2 (if you have Gamble). If you choose to use a physical ------------ attacker (not recommended), equip a Magic Killer Ring if you have ------------ one. Defensive skills are not necessary, only offensive skills ------------ with Damage-Amplifying bonuses are helpful. (Ex: Power Hit or 3 ------------ Combo) Having the base 4 elemental black magics suggested. The Strategy: ------------- Your goal here is to save the Old Sorceress by killing all four ------------- of the Bodies of Though. Earth Body will cast Envy, Fire will ------------- cast Enrage, Water will cast Lament, and Wind will cast Grudge. ------------- Each does around 70 elemental damage to the Sorceress. Each ------------- Body of Thought has it's own Bound-Shield. This means that if ------------- you physically attack, for example, the Body with the elemental ------------- affinity for Fire, you will get hit by Fire damage yourself. ------------- This is why you should stick to magical attacks. If the Old ------------- Sorceress' HP gets to Zero, it's Game Over for you. If you have ------------- Gamble magic, you've won, just cast it with everyone who has it. ------------- If you don't have Gamble magic, attack each Body with it's ------------- elemental weakness. Water beats Fire beasts Wind beats Earth ------------- beats Water and so on. The Old Sorceress will use the ability ------------- "Scream" to change the elemental affinity of one or more Bodies ------------- each turn. She may change all to something else, all to the same ------------- element, or none at all. It is completely random. Her turn is ------------- random, so expect to heal a Body if you hit one of the same ------------- element you attacked with. If you use a non-elemental magical ------------- attack (Ex: Force/a/us), the Bodies have a small chance of ------------- absorbing the magic as HP recovery, so be careful. All in all, ------------- this is the easiest "Boss" battle in the game that you can loose. ------------- But there is a Save Point in the Entrance Hall, so if all else ------------- fails, level up, and try-try-again. Achilles’ heel: Gamble -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Bodyguard - Backyard Battles Class------: Super Heavy Battle Name: Kelolon Battalion Head HP: 16,240 Type: Kelolon Element: None Enemy Skills: Kelolon Rush, Powerus Susceptibility to Status Ailments: Immune to All The Strategy: Physical attacks, Damage Up Rings, Critical Up Rings, Gamble -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Bogimoray - BOSS HP: 1,830 Type: Organic Element: Fire Where To Find: Grand Staff When you can encounter: During your investigation of Grand Staff on Disc 1. Sp Given: 0 Gold Given: 0 Normal Steal: n/a Rare Steal: n/a Drop 1: n/a Drop 2: n/a Drop 3: n/a Drop 4: n/a --- Enemy Skill Breakdown Physical Attacks: None Magical Attacks: None Status Attacks: Absorb, Para-Flare Counter Attacks: None --- Susceptibility to Blind----: n/a Susceptibility to Curse----: n/a Susceptibility to Dizzy----: n/a Susceptibility to Kelolon--: n/a Susceptibility to Paralyze-: Immune Susceptibility to Petrify--: Immune Susceptibility to Poison---: Immune Susceptibility to Seal-----: n/a Susceptibility to Sleep----: Immune Susceptibility to Terror---: n/a Susceptibility to Toxin----: n/a Susceptibility to Virus----: n/a Preparation: Equip Anti-Paralysis on Kaim and Seth while having Jansen wear the ------------ Yellow Band; This gives everyone immunity to a very hampering ------------ ability that Bogimoray can use. Equip Crisis Defense Boost, ------------ Crisis Attack Boost, and Guard Heal/Stand Guard if you have the ------------ Skill Slots available. Lv2 Black-White Magic is fine also, as it ------------ grants you access to Zephyr, a Heal-All white magic spell. If you ------------ found the Power Drink on the beach, this is a good place to use it ------------ on Kaim or Seth. Put Kaim and Seth in the Front Row and Jansen in ------------ the back to conserve his life a bit. If you found 20 seeds and ------------ gave them to the Pipot at the base, you will get the Adamantis ------------ Ring (Water Lv1, Bio Killer Lv1, MP Absorb Lv1) which can rip this ------------ boss a new one. The Strategy: ------------- First of all, keep in mind that Bogimoray only uses one attack, ------------- the Para-Flare, and he only uses it when his "MP Drawn" gauge is ------------- full. He fills it by "Absorbing" MP from the insects. If an ------------- insect has just used "Charge", the MP that bogimoray absorbs will ------------- be doubled and thus will fill his gauge faster. The more insects ------------- you kill, the slower his gauge will fill; -The insects reappear ------------- after two turns. You want to focus on Bogimoray more than the ------------- insects, while also trying to get rid of insects to prevent him ------------- from casting Para-Flare every 2 turns. Focus Kaim or Seth on the ------------- insects, while having the other and Jansen go for Bogi. Jansen ------------- should be constantly casting Aqua, and should be healed by items ------------- when his HP is below 50%, while the fighter going after Bogi ------------- should be attacking with the strongest ring you have. When Bogi ------------- casts Para-Flare, it will do large damage to your entire party ------------- while also inflicting Paralyze; however, if you have the skill ------------- "Anti-Paralysis", then Bogi will just damage you without the ------------- status ailment annoyance. Before you deal the final blow, be ------------- sure to damage the insects all just a little bit so you can kill ------------- them fast, because after you finish off Bogimoray, another ------------- Bogimoray will appear, and with a fully charged "MP Drawn" gauge ------------- to boot. When the second appears, kill off the insects quickly ------------- to prevent another Para-Flare from charging any time soon, then ------------- go all out on Bogi again. He is the same as the first time you ------------- fought him. Using the Power Drink that you may have found on the ------------- beach is also advisable. If you have trouble, go back and level ------------- up to 18 and learn all of the abilities that you can. Before ------------- this fight, you can go back and get anything that you missed in ------------- the entire game, so take your time, and prepare. Stay healed ------------- during the fight; Jansen can cast Barricade at the beginning if ------------- you feel that you want the extra protection. Zephyr is a great ------------- healing spell that you can use if more than one person is hurt ------------- badly, but try to have Kaim and Seth cast it, as Jansen needs to ------------- be using Aqua every turn. Prism works good for killing all of ------------- the insects at once, or at least Critical-HP-ing them, but it ------------- takes 2 turns to cast. All in all, if you equip all of the ------------- defensive abilities and Anti-Paralysis, this battle shouldn't ------------- give you too much trouble, just stay healthy!
