Collect the hidden Rockstar barrels to unlock the corresponding cheat option. Enabling a cheat will stop your progress in Career mode and disable the earning of money and reputation from races.

Unlockable - How to Get a Pistol

Every gotten bored with just racing Well you don't have to because this UNlockable will make you killing people an option. So first, take on Enzo on a race after that get a cop to chase you and then under the bridge in LA there will be a pistol. Just drive over it and press RS and you now have a pistol. (You may notice effects in gameplay!)
