PRINTOUT: Set to 79 characters per line using a fixed-width font such as Courier New. INTRO: This FAQ is designed to provide concise move set data for all of the main character variations in the game, as well as for subsidiary characters and Lambdas. Body part damage, Humiliation gauge and daze effects, Submissions Pin Falls and Lethal setup requirements are all listed in a format that should allow for easy reading. For the main characters, each having four distinct move sets, I’ve also provided a handy comparison key for quickly identifying similarities or differences between the four moves assigned to each controller input. FIND: Use the Find feature (Ctrl+F) with the chart numbers in the Table of Contents to quickly locate move set data. Each character's chart is spread over two pages (A and B). CHART LAYOUT: For main characters, look to the top of the page to find their name and choose which of the four available variations you're working with. Each character has what I've chosen to call their 'Default' form of Normal and Superstar moves. To the right of that you'll see the 'Body = 100%' form (0% for some). Setting their body weight sliders accordingly will change their move sets as shown. There is a Normal and Superstar variant for this form as well, but differences between these are minimal. Controller commands are listed in the left columns. Most of these are grapples requiring the use of the 'Y' button along with the direction indicated. At the very least, you'll find body part(s) damage for each move, listed as Head(H), Body(B), Arm(A) or Leg(L). You should know that focusing most of your attacks on a single body part with a variety of moves is one of the most efficient methods for taking down an opponent. SYMBOLS: Many of the symbols used are listed at the bottom of the ‘B’ pages in the tables, but I’ll clarify their meaning here: 'Sub' -- Submission 'Pin' -- Pin Fall '+' -- Humiliation gauge increase for opponent '++' -- Humiliation gauge up for both you and opponent 'dz' -- Dazed(groggy) status on opponent 'vd' -- Vault(jump) behind opponent and Daze 'td' -- Turn opponent and Daze 'mt' -- Mount Turnbuckle (your character climbs onto the turnbuckle) 'dt' -- Down Turnbuckle (opponent in sitting position under turnbuckle) SUBMISSIONS: Note that a number of Submissions have 2 body parts listed, the meaning of which depends on context. Upper-case letters represent the primary area of damage, while lower-case denotes a secondary effect: Sub HB –- Head submission with equal parts Body damage Sub Hb -- Head submission with closing Body damage Sub bH -- Head submission with initial Body damage Sub A>H -- Head submission resulting from a chain sequence (Arm starter) For chain sequences, tap the 'Y'(grapple) button in time with the red spark. Some characters require you to do this twice. COMPARISON SYMBOLS: If you scan through the charts you'll see three column dividers containing 'x' and '=' signs indicating that the moves are either the same(=) or different(x) for any given controller input. The left column compares the two DEFAULT move sets (Normal and Superstar) while the right compares the two BODY = % sets. The middle column views both DEFAULT moves against the two for BODY = %. Since this compares all four moves at once, a few more symbols are required: = -- all four moves are the SAME x -- Default moves are DIFFERENT from Body = % 1 -- ONE of the moves is unique (the other three are the same) 2 -- TWO moves are the same (one from Default and one from Body = %) p -- same PAIR of moves for Default and Body = % GRAPPLE DEFINITIONS: Upper Body: If standing, setup first with Up+Y to get into ground grapple position, then input one of the four directions plus ‘Y’ to activate it. Lower Body: If standing, the setup is Down+Y to get into ground grapple position, then input one of the four directions plus ‘Y’ to activate it. You can toggle between UPPER and LOWER Body ground grapples by tapping ‘A’ Standing Right: Press Right+Y to start, then input one of the four directions plus ‘Y’ to activate it. Standing Left: Press Left+Y to start, then input one of the four directions plus ‘Y’ to activate it. Back Grapple: No setup required, aside from getting behind your opponent. Dazed Grapple: You must be facing an opponent who is in a Dazed(groggy) state at the time you enter the commands. You'll find that while some of the moves from this set are original, others are shortcuts to left or right standing grapples. Back Dazed Grapple: You must be standing behind a Dazed opponent. If the Daze wears off before you complete the command, you'll end up with a regular Back Grapple. One of the easiest ways to setup a Back Daze is to tap 'A' from a Standing Left or Right Grapple starting position. Front Turnbuckle: Throw an opponent into a corner from a distance so that she lands facing your character. Back Turnbuckle: Throw your opponent into a corner from close range so that she lands with her back turned to your character. ADDITIONAL MOVES: RUN TO: The set of six moves under the heading 'RUN TO' refers to your character running towards the opponent under various conditions. Those labeled 'dir/Y' require a directional input together with 'Y'. The last one is actually a running strike (X) with your opponent in Front Turnbuckle position (Fr TB). You may occasionally find that this strike fails to connect, depending on when you launched it in the opponent's animation sequence. If this happens, just back up a couple of paces and try again. OPPONENT: The next set of five moves in the charts comes under the heading of 'OPPONENT'. Down Turnbuckle position (Down TB) is a setup requirement for the first one. Your opponent needs to be leaning 'On Rope' for the second and 'Running' for the last three. 'UD/X' means that you must be holding either Up or Down when you press the 'X' button. 'LR/X' means hold Left or Right. CLIMB TB: These are aerial attacks from on top of the turnbuckle. 'Upright' refers to your opponent in a standing position, facing your character at a reasonably close range. 'Down' indicates that your opponent is on the mat at the time you attack. The easiest way to set these up is to throw your opponent into Front Turnbuckle position, then run in and tap 'Y'. Note: Please be aware that Strikes, unlike Grapples, can have a variable outcome as to which body part is affected, so don't sweat it if you notice any discrepancy between what I've listed and your own game experience. One thing that can always be counted on with aerial strikes, however, is the Pin Fall. If that's what's indicated on the chart, then that's what you'll get, regardless of your opponent's status. SPECIAL: These are the finishing moves. The specific requirements for all Lethals are listed in the bottom right corner for every character.
